We have been here many times but this was our first time with their new menu options. Everything tasted great, the service was fantastic. It is still one of our favorite restaurants to go to.
A fun place with good Greek food and an unexpected, but lively show. Thumbs Up.
The restaurant was empty on a Friday. My wife and I brought our 2 year old for a simple quiet dinner. We were absolutely shocked when the background music changed from simple soft greek music to super load music from hell and a belly dance came out. Ruined the night! This restaurant should notify its guest that garbage entertainment is planned so people can opt out.
Great food and a great place to celebrate a birthday party
It’s a shame with such a prime location on the water that the food isn’t better. Fish was overcooked. Moussaka had no seasonings. The Bechamel sauce seem to be made of mashed potatoes.
Excellent food. Choices even my vegan niece could enjoy. And the staff made my dad’s birthday special by singing and giving him a special drink to say cheers with. Thank you!
One of our favorites , always entertaining . Food is great and never had bad service in the many visits we've had here. Great place for couples of any age!
The menu was a little busy (it has many items). We ordered the sampler platter. The avgolemono sauce that topped the dolmades was quite salty; I think it would've tasted better on the side or omited. Everything else: the lamb chops, falafel, loukaniko sausages, spanakopita, tzatziki, and hummus dip with hot pita wedges was superb. The service was prompt. The ambiance was perfect.
If you are looking for authentic Greek food artfully and tastefully prepared you will be disappointed. The lamb which was asked to be medium rare was well done. The hummus was bland. However the tabouli was delightful. The service was adequate but we were there mid afternoon when they were setting up for an evening event. Will we go back....probably not.
I was weary of eating here when we arrived because it was empty except for the bar when we arrived. Thankfully, the food was good, the service ok.
I love this place. I drive almost an hour to get there and it is well worth it.
Fabre was an exceptional server. She was very friendly, courteous and attentive. Even though she was busy with several tables, Fabre anticipated what you needed even before you knew it. There was also a tremendous team effort from the entire staff. Fabre’s stellar customer service attitude along with delicious food made for an outstanding dining experience. The nice views of the boats and dock were an added bonus too. We will definitely be back and highly recommend this gem of a restaurant!
Went for Christmas day, first time there. The food was great and the service was very good. I will be back!
You must try the flaming cheese. It's prepared tableside. The sampler is a great way to try a taste of everything. I love their gyros. Saturday night entertainment is so much fun. Belly dancers and Greek (male) dancers who can kick their legs higher than the Rockets. Plus, it's dog-friendly and has a great view of the harbor.
Great experience, awesome service!
I loved the dinner entertainment! The belly dancer was worth our trip.
We asked to sit inside and they were very accommodating. Food and service were fine, but we left after a glass of wine and appetizers. It was too cold in the dining room since they had the double doors to the patio open after the sun had set.
I had made a reservation and THEN hit Friday night traffic coming up from LAX. I missed my reservation by an hour but they still let me in, no problem. I'd called as well and the young lady who answered the phone was very friendly. All I wanted was soup and a salad and both were just delicious! I missed the belly dancer but got to see some of the Greek dancer. I'd recommend this place for any meal or drink. The only thing I'd warn you about is the music and dancing can be quite loud, but fun nonetheless.
The ribeye Steaks needed salt , tasted bland, waitress didn’t check on us if we needed anything during our time. Had to call her every time. Then the waitress added another tables bill on top of mine. Wasn’t paying that. So not a good experience.
It took a while for our waitress to greet us and take the drink orders. So much of a delay, I was wondering if for some reason she did not wish to serve us. Even after several instances of making eye contact with our seater, no one came over to greet or check on us.
My husband ordered the clam chowder and became ill the day after. It may have been sitting around all day. We have dined at a number of Greek/Mediterranean establishments. This was disappointing.
The food, service & the entertainment was great! Had lots of fun celebrating my moms 80th birthday there, so memorable for all of us! They really took care of us to make my moms bday celebration extra special. Thank you
Very fun atmosphere . Good food . Random entertainment.
I love this restaurant, but that Saturday night, the service was terrible. The belly dancer didn't perform on the patio. The waiters hadn't danced together before we left around 8:30. One waiter did dance inside. They had a huge fan blowing on us which made it very uncomfortable. I had brought new friends and was really disappointed. Normally, it is a great time. I actually had to go find our waitress if we wanted to order anything. We had to beg for ice. It was just not up to the regular standards. I did find out the owners were in Greece, so that might have had something to do with it.
The restaurant was virtually empty yet we waited nearly an hour for our food. Diners that arrived after us got their food long before we did. It was cold when they finally brought it out. We sent it back and all they did was microwave it rather than bring us fresh food. This was a birthday celebration which ended up being very disappointing.
Nothing to get excited about this place. Food is ok, but not worth the price. Greek wine was not worth the $40 paid. The only nice thing about this place is a patio with harbor views and free parking.
Good food, I loved having a seat looking out over the water.
This is the second time my family and I have dined here. The views are great, food is good (even vegan options), and it's very easy to get a reservation here which is nice. We will definitely be back.
I wanted to take a moment to compliment the Greek for the outstanding service and entertainment we had on Friday.
I will tell you the meal was wonderful, and the waitress' (Bianca and Sabina???) were fabulous. We gave little notice, but you took us without comment or complaint. Your web site was easy to navigate, to make reservations on and then your staff followed up with a phone call to make sure we were taken care of.
Your staff provided excellent entertainment, dancing with my daughter the Bride and groom. Natascha and John have a wonderful memory and none of the hassle of planning or making people do their job.
Lamb kebabs were over cooked as was the black cod.
Flavors were off overall.
Humus dip was poor.
The grilled artichoke appetizer wss hard.
Waitress was very nice and mixed drinks were well done.
For years, I would take my entire family (about 12-15 people) to the Greek several times each year for a family dinner. We loved that place! It became our family tradition every time we all returned to our Southern California home. We loved the ambiance, the food, the menu and the entertainment.
Our trip in November of 2011was extremely disappointing. Where was the great food, the extended menu, and where were the crowds of people? We thought the restaurant had changed hands and the new owners had totally dropped the ball and turned it into a typical “factory” restaurant, with a limited menu and a get in, get out attitude. We later found out that cause of our disappointment was the result of a Gordon Ramsey “make over”. We stopped our tradition of the Greek.
After 6 years of avoiding the Greek I decided to give it another shot for our most recent family gathering (June 2018). We were not disappointed. Many of our favorite menu items were now back on the menu, and the fun ambiance had returned. Food was very good and it again felt like a family gathering place.
We will again have the Greek as our traditional family gathering place!
Place needed updating.
Fine for casual dining
Food was good. Nothing exceptional
We had eaten here several times before, and had good experiences. However, on this occasion we were very disappointed with the food. The steak was tough and over cooked, the lamb chops cold, the halibut was also cold and very dry, and the fourth order was completely wrong. We can only assume that it was because it was a Sunday evening, and perhaps the chef that night was inexperienced. The waitress was pleasant and apologetic, and the dancing was wonderful. Because of our previous enjoyable visits, I have rated the meal higher than I would have otherwise. We will probably be back, but not on a Sunday.
Fun entertainment. Delicious food. Did return back with s huge group of ladies, even doubled the fun. Loved it
Went there for Mother’s Day. The food has always been great and was again good, but the service was unfortunately terrible. Our server took 15 minutes to come over to our table and seemed annoyed and disinterested. We waited 25 minutes for our appetizers and then the main courses were delivered to our table, no appetizers.
We spoke to the manager and it was blamed on the kitchen overwhelmed with Mothers Day. We were given free desert but overall the experience was ruined.
The food was delicious and great location. You can sit inside or in the covered patio and look out at the harbor. It was nice seeing the show. Service was a bit slow due to mothers day weekend. Other than that it was great!
Very good! Entertaining! Friendly atmosphere!
Excellent Experience. I would highly recommend the Saganaki!
Food was good but service was way too slow! Requested a window seat on multiple occasions but that was not taken into consideration. Placed at a table right in front on the dance floor where there was a HUGE party. Probably won’t rush back.
Last night of a week long adventure trip. Great place to celebrate. The scallops were to die for!
