Wonderful food and service
Disappointing. Appetizer was brought together with the main course.
Moussaka was tasteless.
I will not return.
Best Greek for the money in Manhattan. Fairly convenient to Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center.
They had excellent fresh grilled fish and the horiatiki was wonderful. Greek coffee was perfectly strong and smooth. Attentive, generous service. Definitely going back.
Food OK, not great. Place very convenient, service good.
I eat here at least three times a year and they always do a great job. Keep up the good work.
I always love it here. Friendly staff and good food. It’s a reliable tasty neighborhood restaurant.
One of my favorites in all NYC. I livein the neighborhood and eat here all the time. They also deliver.
Food os always fresh and consistant, staff is also great!
Service was surprisingly slow tonight. We’ve eaten here many times and it was never like this. We arrived at 5:30 and were seated immediately and ordered quickly. It was over an hour before our entrees came out. The food was excellent as it always is.
We especially enjoyed the octopus but all the food was great. The smaller room was perfect so we could really talk and visit with our family. Very nice server. Our reservation wasn’t ready on our arrival but it was ok. The food here never disappoints.
Outstanding Greek Food in Hell's Kitchen. Excellent fish, gyro, and other classic Greek dishes. Also, very reasonable.
The whole fish and Greek salad are absolutely delicious.
Great food and good prices. Service was a little slow but the place was packed. Definitely recommend this place - you wont be sorry.
Our server was Anna and she was knowledgeable and personable. We had a reasonably priced bottle of Greek wine, and taramasalada and grilled shrimp appetizers that were both yummy. We had branzino and gigantes brand and roasted potatoes. The dessert was the first one listed on the menu.. a tall custard pie that was delicious! All in all, a terrific experience.
Lots to select from the extensive menu. Warm pita accompanied a large fresh salad, whole fish expertly boned and served with delicious roasted potatoes. No room for dessert except for a Greek coffee.
A bit noisy in the main room but wonderfully quiet and a great view in the outside glass area. Great service and delicious food. Would go there again!
Thoroughly enjoyable meal with very nice wait staff.
We arrived at 5 so had a quiet atmosphere. As the restaurant filled up it became noisier and noisier as most NY restaurants do. My lamb was great.
Very traditional menu, delicious food.
Nice place, reasonable prices, mediocre food. The taramasalata tasted more of milk-soaked bread than it did of carp roe, and the lemon chicken soup was overly floured, and uncontaminated by chicken. The grilled marinated octopus was over cooked and dry. Service was fine and the ambiance OK, but I won’t be going back.
Was a great restaurant with a great staff. Food was amazing!
Good neighborhood place.
VERY reasonable prices for good food!
Food was good, service was a bit on the rude side..like we were bothering our server..
There is no lettuce in an authentic Greek salad. Food is average.
The meals were big but they weren’t all nice. Not sure if the chef is Greek as the meals didn’t taste like they were cooked authentically. The avgolemono soup which should be chicken, rice, egg and lemon soup was just s a chicken soup. The lamb and beef gyros tasted Ike reconstituted meat shaved. Not even sure what that was. Told waiter that the meat is not what we expected and al he could do was laugh at us. On a positive note, the grilled calamari was beautiful and the lamb shank youvetsi was very nice and tender too.
Solid neighborhood restaurant. Never disappoints. Reasonable prices. There for a good meal, not necessarily a dining experience
Wonderful experience! Will definitely return!
One of my favorite places! Love the grilled chicken platter which comes with a piece of spanakopita. Great pita and tzatziki, lemon potatoes, Greek fries...Delicious branzino and, naturally, Greek salad. I’ve been dozens of times and will keep going.
Vera good food!
Best hummus I’ve ever had! Zucchini chips were delicious too!!
The food is outstanding! The menu is vast and every item is terrific. The service is also very good.
Its always great. The food is yummy and its always fresh. Make serve you have reservations, its always crowded. You will enjoy your meal!
Food is fresh and tasty. Tables too close together in main dining room.
The restaurant is comfortable and unpretentious with very nice staff and perfect martinis. I had the vegetarian Moussaka and it was delicious. Highly recommend for a very good neighborhood spot. I’ve been going here for years and have never been disappointed.
We’ve been many times. Everything is always delicious! Love their tzatziki, saganaki, salads, grilled chicken and fish! Greek fries and lemon potatoes are wonderful too. While they don’t make the pita they serve, I can’t find pita like that in stores. So good. Very busy place- the seating around the perimeter is quieter than in the main room, but only accommodates parties or 2 or 4.
Very good neighborhood go to. Consistently good. Food fresh and plentiful.
Muy buena comida - ambiente ideal para ir
Con amigos y creo pareja
Amazing food, but beware that you may have to wait for a table even with reservations. We both had the Gyro Platter which we had served with Orzo and Greek Salad. It was FANTASTIC!
Worth the wait!
My only complaint about this place, and I do come here regularly, is when it’s busy: it’s usually a mess. When it’s not packed, arrive is strong and attentive, but when it’s full, there’s a loss of cohesion in the staff and they get sloppy, bump into each other, and overall create a hyper vibe. Everyone needs to relax. The busting staff doesn’t handle bringing water and the basics well. I do think this place is a gem and has great food at affordable prices, but when i see it’s busy, I’ll cancel from now on because this is a repeat situation, more than a few time, it it ruins the vibe for me.
