The Greek By Anatoli - Yaletown
Thursday: 11:30am - 12:00am
Friday/Saturday: 11:30am - 1:00am
Sunday: 12:00pm - 11:00pm
It was a lovely day and we sat out on the patio...it was just perfect. The service was excellent and the food just super good...will go back again for sure! Thank you Greek by Anatoli!!!
Brought a person working from out of town on a movie here in Vancouver. We were so smoked out by the poorly ventilated grill and it was a bit chaotic. I used to love this restaurant wont go there again for a very long time.
The service and food was good but the music that began at about 7:30 did not suit the venue. Loud rap - like music in a greek restaurant?
Great service as always and top notch food.
We’ve been there several times and even hosted my son & daughter in law’s wedding rehearsal dinner there and always loved it. This time the food and service lacked quality. Wine on menu is too young, server forgot some food and didn’t check on us after it was presented, salad was not as fresh and chicken souvlaki dried out. Disappointed overall.
Food was excellent, the restaurant little bit loud. Servis was okay. She mostly engaged with my boyfriend. Didn't even looked my face or smile. Also we were first table but our food came later than other tables. And asking for 18% of tips little bit much.
Great food! The souvlaki skewers were very flavorful and tender. I loved the variety of vegetables in the souvlaki platter. Saganaki was also great. I really didn’t enjoy the baklava. Not as flaky as I had hoped for. Otherwise a wonderful place with good service.
Ambiance is very hip . Music too loud . Lamb platter is very goood . Carb overload . Souvlaki platTeR were aLL ON dryer side spanakopita is good. Calamare is delicious cooked perferct. Keftedes hmm nothing special .
Was very loud , had chicken skewer the chicken wasn’t great
Abbey looked after us, and made a great suggestion for mezze-style dinner. Every dish was a taste sensation.
Thanks to Graham for looking after my first Friday night reso at our neighbourhood restaurant, great guy!!
Food was very good! Very accommodating, I had made a reservation and seating wasn’t suited for us and a baby, they had accommodated us no problem! Thank you.
We enjoyed a simple meal of Greek salad (excellent interpretation) and the grilled lamb chops (delicious chubby chops). Can’t wait to go back again with a bigger group so we can share more dishes.
It’s a small and delightful place. Go there.
I don't eat Greek food that often, but the food was very good. The waitress was friendly and attentive.
Love this restaurant. Food is so flavourful and delicious. I like how they do shared plates. You are able to have a taste of everything. Waitress was great, gave us free ouzo shots for celebrating a bday! Would go again.
Would love to have quieter music and some Greek selections. Food is very good value. I like seating if it is on the patio or at the tables overlooking the restaurant. The others are too close together. Love the family photos. We will be coming back. A great introduction to Greek food, for those who have only ever eaten roast beef.
It is incomprehensible to me why a restaurant like this, serving up decent Greek fare, would choose to bombard it's clientele with the worst god-awful, pounding, throbbing hip-hop, rap music over dinner. The place must be having an identity crisis - wants to be a nightclub but can't figure out how or perhaps the staff are all cranked up on speed or whatever but this was one of the WORST dining out experiences we have ever had. We could not hear ourselves think, let alone talk with our table-mates. Our server could not hear us and vice-versa. Everything had to be shouted. When we finally asked to have the music turned down, she said "I'll try" and it went down for exactly one song and then was cranked up again. Unbearable. Cross this place off our list permanently.
Second visit here and will be back! Food is so tasty and savoury! Service was excellent and helpful with ordering right amount of sharing plates for everyone. We had a vegetarian guest in our party and he left fully satisfied as well!!
Again it really was very noisy
Was great, like always. Thank you guys, feels like home!
This was the loudest Greek restaurant that I have ever been to. Could barely hear myself think over the rock music being pumped in let alone hear the server. Service was good. The food was good too. Not wow but good.
Amazing Greek food! I haven't found anywhere in this city that compares! Wonderful for celiacs and people who love good food! This is one of my favourite restaurants in Vancouver.
Fabulous food with a comfortable tapas family style menu. Music was quite loud but it was definitely lively.
Very good food and atmosphere. We had the Spanakota, Calamari and the Leg of Lamb. All very good. Pitas nice and fresh, Calamari delicious and the Leg of Lamb was among the best we have had. Lemon potatoes were yummy. The restrooms are the only downside I could find....they are shared with other businesses and the door is passcoded, which another patron and I had to struggle with to get it to open.
I can NOT recommend this restaurant simply because of the significant noise level. There is no need to have overly loud music in such a small restaurant, especially when diners have to shout to carry on a conversation.
The food and service were great. Value was good except for the wine prices.
Good service and delicious Greek food. Great lunch options.
Super good food. The octopus is a must! Hummous, halloumi and roast lamb were all amazing too. Best Greek food I've had in Vancouver.
First time trying Anatoli and loved the ambiance, atmosphere and the food was great. Food is meant to be shared which is really nice. The special of the day was lamb platter combo which was delicious!
The Greek by Anatoli is consistently delicious. Their dips are amazing and a must try. We shared their half chicken which was really tasty and perfect to share between 3 people.
Excellent food, good service and fine price
Main courses, lamb shank and mousaka, came 10 minutes apart! Mousaka was no charge.
By far the best Greek food in the Greater Vancouver area. Absolutely fantastic. We will be back.
Food was delicious - had the Pidaki Platter (added one lamb chop) and Haloumi Caprese. This was more than enough for two people.
Service was only alright. It was very slow and felt as if the servers had a chip on their shoulder.
Good food, well worth the price. Noisy but good ambiance.
Outstanding food! Excellent for sharing. Beware portions are quite large...but so tasty you won’t want to leave anything behind!!
Best Lamb platter in the city and great value, planning to return many times.
If you like obnoxious, loud thumping disco music with your Greek food, then this is the restaurant for you. But if you want to dine in peace, then you should avoid this place. More's the pity as the food is actually quite good.
Service was just ok. The staff were polite, however in a practically empty restaurant, they didn't seem too fussed about making sure we got everything we ordered. They also didn't give us any pita bread, and we did ask for it.
The portions were on the small/conservative side. Vegetables are cheap, would have liked to see more salad included with the Souvlaki platter.
The other time I visited "The Greek" was for dinner, and the service and food was much better. I would be willing to go back for dinner service again.
Fantastic start to finish!
