The Greek By Anatoli - Yaletown
Was great. Only concerns were, tables were a little close and the bathroom outside the establishment with a code lock on the door was a bit inhospitable
We went here for a birthday dinner. The service was great.
Amazing food and ambience ! My favorite Greek restaurant and will definitely keep coming back .
Fun downtown Yaletown vibe with great food and service. Patio is nice in the warm weather however we were inside this visit and I'd recommend asking for a table against the wall or railing.
Food was great. Not excellent because we found the chicken souvlakia sort of dry and seemed deep fried or something. Not juicy chunks of marinated chicken, instead dry small pieces squished onto the skewer. Wasn’t awful but different than expected.
Good food, good service. Nothing spectacular but we would go back.
It was amazing, the food was great and our waiter was super nice!! I recommend the chicken gyro. It’s so good!!!
A fun place to eat. The Lamb platter is excellent. We had great service and really enjoyed our meal. We have eaten in the Yaletown location and in the Gastown location and both were great.
Excellent lunch. Thankfully, we were able to sit out on the patio as the music indoors was much too loud for us.
Reservation was made for 5:45 and had drinks at the bar previous to this. Told the front we were all here at 5:45 and were seated. After which for 20 minutes no one came one came around, we went back to the bar to get drinks and then had to go back to tell the front we are looking for service. Aside from that it was a good meal, ambiance and atmosphere.
Good food but one my guests received a rabbit dish which did not contain the ingredients advertised on the menu. The service was friendly but got less efficient as the evening wore on. The noise level from the DJ rendered conversation impossible without shouting although I was told the DJ did not feature earlier in the evening or at all on Monday to Wednesday.
We've read the reviews before going. The recommended choices, such as dried zucchinis as the starter and the lamb main course were great. The other two, calamari and spanakopita, were both below average (I really love spanakopita and can distinguish between good, average, and below average). Overall it's a mixed bag. You will fully enjoy it if selecting from the recommended items, but I would not recommend going beyond that list...
Great neighbourhood spot! Was our first time...food and service (Maggie) were both very good, and the restaurant had a nice lively feel to it. Will definitely be back.
Seated inside by the patio window. The vents were a bit loud but not really obtrusive once we were there.
Food and service were great
thia was as good as the last visit... so I am now assuming this is their standard... I will be back again, and again
it was a great atmosphere. very loud. i thought the share plate would be plated separately or in seperate dishes. but it was in one big dish. not bad but thought it would we weird if you came with a potential client etc. otherwise great food.
My girlfriends and I sat out on the patio which was crowded, not a lot of privacy, but we didn’t mind. Our server was amazing! She was attentive but not constantly checking on us. We ate delicious food, had many drinks and laughed constantly.
The night was perfect right up until the manager came over and asked us to leave since there was a long wait for the patio! Yes, we were there for a very long time, we were in fact still drinking! That really ended a fabulous night on a bad note. Very rude!
The food is always good, however, the protein portions on the platters are rather small.
I’ve been here several times now with several different people and for several different occasions. Every time-spectacular! The food is beyond. The service is fab. Some of their signature cocktails are exceptional
and worth going if not just to try! I’d recommend The Greek to anyone who is interested in eating REAL WHOLE FOOD....!
A Greek or more like Turkish restaurant in Yaletown. It's hard to find parking even we went at 14:00 although the place had only a couple of tables.
Fair execution of food; nothing to rave about; poor execution on hummus and the tzatziki sauce - both are water down version with no flavor; extremely small portion even smaller than a normal tapas portion. The grilled octopus is $20.00.
Manager is a gem, held down the restaurant and recommendations from staff were on point.
Service was excellent! Price was extremely reasonable! Will go again :)
Quite literally the best Greek food in Downtown Vancouver! I would highly suggest dinner at this place, whether to catch up with friends, swoon your date, or a night out with the girls/guys.
I bring all my favourite people here. In the last 2 weeks I have been in 5 times! Absolutely love the food, the ambiance and the value. (Great happy hour too!) Service is always great and food comes out very quick.
Will be back time and time again :)
The food at The Greek by Anatoli was great. The food arrived very quickly and the service was great! The Roast Lamb and the Souvlaki Platter was really good and the portions were more than enough for sharing. Restaurant was very busy but the service was still great!
First time here and the food and service was great! However, the tables inside were squished very close together which made conversations not very private as noise level was high.
Good menu and friendly service. Seating is too close together to be comfortable
The food was very good. Good service. Very warm in the area where we were seated
just a fun place to eat... clkse to the stadium so provides a great pre-game meal location... staff are good, efficient and have good sense of humour...
Our table was ready right away. Service was attentive (our waitress was super nice) and speedy without being invasive or rushed. And the food was delicious!
Best Greek restaurant in Vancouver
Amazing as always!
Asked the server to change the seasonal vegetables for a bit of Greek salad and she said sure. I received a very small portion of salad which was the perfect amount with my lamb dinner. When I received the bill I was charged $4 for the salad. It would have been nice to be told that at the time I was asking for the substitute. My lamb dinner was $32 so adding another $4 for a tiny bit of salad instead of veg was insulting and the server did not seem to care.
Really nice place, at a great location, serving some actual Greek food! The staff is very friendly and nice. Only gripe I have is, I asked for a pasticio, but received a mousaka, which looked delicious, but wasn't a pasticio! The pasticio did arrive some time later, and it was really very good.
Today is Canada Day! I was riding a bicycle at least two hours and super duper hungry. I made a reservation and have been there. There is a line up around 6:15pm and atmosphere in the restaurant is pretty good. We ordered mussels, souvlaki platter, and bottle of wine. Food was great and server concerned a lot. We had a great dinner in there.
Lots of servers but none seemed to know whether they were serving our table or not. Service was very delayed at a time when the restaurant was not even half full. Further training and professionalism seems to be required. Restaurant would like be more profitable if they increased service efficiency.
It was good
excellent food, the lamb was amazing and the platters were almost enough for four with a couple of sides a perfect dinner
I couldn't finish my moussaka as it was a little too salty
