Great food! Loved the mushroom soup!
Hostess was rude (everyone at party separately commented on her) and waitress seemed to be stuck up, disappointing on service but good was great!

The food is excellent. The service is very good. Overall, the Grape is a very good restaurant unless you want to have an intimate or serious talk with your date. If that's what you want, you had better go somewhere else. Not only can you not hear your partner. You're lucky if you can hear yourself. I have never been in such a noisy restaurant. I think this is important. There are many more reasons to go out to eat. And it is certainly possible to design an acoustical system that takes care of this problem. As an example, try eating at Cadot. When you are there, think about how silent the place is, no batter how crowded. Then, look at the baffle set-up in the ceiling. Then think about what it sounds like at the Grape. They could do better for their customers

The Grape has been a favorite with us for many years. The most recent visit on a Monday evening was, however, disappointing. Our wine choices were excellent but the food took a long time coming and the main meals were both look warm and overcooked. We attribute the problems to staff shortages on Monday. Management was apologetic and adjusted the bill. We continue to think highly of The Grape, but we will not return for Monday dinner.

Went to The Grape for an anniversary dinner, not having been there for years. Exceeded our expectations - excellent food and atmosphere. Our waiter Kyle helped make it even more fun, with excellent suggestions on food and wine, and interesting conversation. Would go back in a heartbeat. Ask for Kyle.

Our baked brie appetizer was great, as was each specialty cocktail and glass of wine. My scallops were cooked perfectly and my wife enjoyed her shrimp louie.

We often forget about his neighborhood gem, and then are glad we went back.

This particular night there was a drunk foursome making the outside patio almost unbearable as they tried to shout over each other. We tried to move inside but they were completely full. I'm very glad they continue to do so well and hope they are around another 30 years!

The service was great. The drinks were great. The food....was okay. We ordered the calamari for an appetizer. Enjoyed it. Main dishes were nothing special. My sisters braised beef short rib and my grilled pork chop were on the bland side. Our warm apple cinnamon dessert was an apple cinnamon dessert minus the warm.

I love The Grape. Especially Sunday Brunch. This weekend wasn't so great. I'm pretty sure our server was hungover and the kitchen wasn't on their game either. I won't give up on this place just yet. it's been good to me before.

We love this place, it's always great. The food is great and the staff is very knowledgeable. I will say, we were a little disappointed that the Ox Tail brunch dish is no longer available, it was definitely our favorite! BRING BACK THE OX TAIL!!!

Another restaurant recommended The Grape and it sounded a little familiar -- I had eaten there often back in the 80's when I lived in Dallas!! It did not disappoint - the food was excellent, the vibe throwback romantic friendly.
Loved it!

The Grape is a local "go to" favorite for locals. An assortment of starters, salads, entrees and deserts are offered. Many of the entrees are offered in two portion sizes with the smaller portion size being more in line with European standards.

Everything I've ever tried has been delicious! For the fall my favorite is a cup of the hearty homemade mushroom soup as a starter, followed by the small portion of the Mustard Crusted Salmon for the entree. Having smaller portions lets you have the absolutely delicious pumkin cheesecake for desert.

Enjoy!

While living in Dallas, The Grape was one of our go-too favorites. We now live in Austin, but decided to eat at The Grape following a long day at the Fair. We were not disappointed. It was great to see that The Grape still delivers on promise of fine dining. Think we will make this a regular part of our State Fair experience!

Over 3000 reviews can't be wrong and I'm just going to stack another one on top! :) This is a really cool place because the food is simply amazing and it was a laid back feeling. The restaurant had kind of a cramped first impression when we walked in but that dissipated quickly after we were sat at our table. We were sat in a side room with a wine rack in it and it was easy to have a conversation but not so quiet that it was uncomfortable. The BBQ carrots appetizer was amazing. I could become a vegetarian if all vegetables could be cooked to taste like that. I had the scallops and my wife had the mustard crusted salmon and both were savory and delicious. The star of the show was the Bananas Foster Bread Pudding for dessert. It knocked every dessert I've had in my past down a notch so I would highly recommend it. Also a very good wine by the glass selection in my opinion.

I've seen tons of reviews about the Grape and wondered if it truly as good as "they" say. It is! I loved the rambling ambiance of the dining room and the close, but not-too-close quarters. We went on Sunday during brunch and opted to start with the pull-apart cinnamon bread. It's gooey, sticky, sweet topping was deliciously decadent. I pouted over my husband's bowl of mushroom soup, and I got to finish it (next time I will get my own). My Dad, the birthday "boy" tried the lemon ricotta crepe with blueberry sauce. I would try that again! After all the build-up of the burger, which is only sold on Sunday and Monday, I had to try it. It was a very tasty burger. Not sure if it's my favorite in the area, but it was definitely near the top. The Grape is truly a Dallas must-try.
