The food and service is always amazing. Gets a little crowded. Need a little more space at the tables. Over all the place has been so consistent for years.
The valet was extremely rude to us. The guy brought the car around and abruptly yelled to "Brian" to ask if we tipped him. I barely had gotten into my car to be able to get cash out for that reason. The guy yelled at me in a very hateful tone, I would appreciate a tip! After being talked to like that and demanded I give him money for a tip, I changed my mind to give him a tip and shut my door and left. I do not reward behavior like. Nobody should be talked to like that. If you like your tips, maybe be respectful and not demanding. The food was not good. Will not go back and will not recommend this place!
We have dined here perhaps five times over the last 10 years. Really great bistro. Excellent food and great service. Reasonable prices. The owners and staff care about the experience of the diners. We shall return.
This was our first visit to the Grape. It’s understandable why they have been there for 46 years. Feels genuine, high quality, very good service, but toward the comfortable end of things. Like an old friend, albeit a fairly expensive one.
Favorite Neighborhood restaurant. Have not been in way too many years - and, same excellent menu; service and ambiance. Introduced a whole new group to the love of The Grape!
Group of friends for the best burger in Texas.
We have been going to the Grape for years. It's our go to spot. My husband and I agreed one on the best meals we have ever had there! Highly HIGHLY recommend this amazing neighborhood bistro!!! Just to add we are both industry and know food and service!! This place is both!! You'll feel at home with your family immediately.
Always love eating here. Usually come on Sunday and Monday nights for the burger and mushroom soup.
The Grape has been a Lower Greenville gem for many years. Although the tables have a crowded feel, the food and service are always outstanding. I highly recommend The Grape.
Food was alright. Service was terrible. We didn't get taken care of like the other table.
Bartender was great!
Extremely disappointing had heard good things about this none of them were accurate one last tip take the clerk just doing her computer work away from the dining room to put her in an office meals were called the mushroom soup was just OK to the people in our for party had severe stomach problems after dinner overall poor would not recommend
Always a great place...food was great and service was exceptional..
Easter Brunch for my husband & I at 1 pm. Off year for our kids & grandkids. We enjoyed their great burgers & fries with a Bloody Mary. Friendly & efficient staff. Only drawback (still one of our favs for decades) is how close the tables are. Pretty sure decor is unchanged. Kind of cozy & comforting. A bit more roomy on the covered patio out front. Just watch the steps & slopes on the aisles.
My wife and I were there for Easter Sunday brunch. Although there was a large crowd we were seated on time. We were seated in a dining room that was small but did not feel cramped. We were able to carry on a conversation easily. Our waiter, Taylor, was excellent. Just the right amount of attention, very professional, and was not trying to be our buddy. We started with the pull apart cinnamon bread, which we highly recommend. Our entrees were also very good. Interesting flavors but not overdone. Overall I could not have asked for a better Easter brunch.
Easter brunch was great. We have been coming to the Grape for birthdays, holidays, anniversaries for many years. Always outstanding.
First time having brunch here; the menu and food did not disappoint. The caramel pecan pull apart is a must.
Enjoyed Easter Brunch in the quiet annex room off the main restaurant. Excellent wait staff. Good place for an occasion and/or date.
Went for Sunday Brunch. Loved everything about it from the valet parking to the mimosa and spicy Bloody Mary through the sticky bun (large enough for 4 to share), and my friends mushroom soup. Great egg dishes too
Friendly staff in a relaxed atmosphere. Looking forward to my next visit - to try their dinner menu
Wait staff was very attentive, food was excellent, as always!
The food was really great - though a bit salty. We both had the red fish. The service was very good, even though they were crowded. We made the reservation on Open Table just an hour before. The noise level was pretty high, but improved when the table next to us left!
Amazing ambiance. Great service excellent food.
Best Scallops and Salmon I’ve ever had
Food was excellent. Service was good. We will return.
The food was good, yet disproportionate to the price paid. You can hear the staff complaining and cursing throughout their shift (I speak Spanish, those were the folks cursing the most). To top it off, the valet is "complimentary", but the driver said "we also appreciate tips" and wouldn't leave us until I tipped him. We were treating ourselves, but were not treated with respect by the valet. This experience leaves me disgusted! We will never come back!
Special menu prepared for a wine dinner was outstanding.
Overall, I did like my experience, but I was not blown away. The mushroom soup was as good as everyone says & the scallops were seared perfectly. I did think 3 medium sized scallops was a smaller portion than I expected for $28. I left still hungry, which is not something I typically experience after 2 appetizers & and entree.
Was a great experience overall. I would warn people that making a reservation for brunch at 1:30pm is a bad idea unless everyone plans on being on time, which for most groups at brunch seems unusual. The last food orders are taken at 1:45pm so there was a bit of a rush. Other than that the pace was great.
I have enjoyed the Grape on many occasions. This time I had asked for bread to go with their famous mushroom soup. I was told No! They don’t serve bread at Sunday Brunch. I’ve eaten at nice restaurants all over the world and only on one occasion have I been told flatly no to my request. This put a sour note on an otherwise lovely brunch. I think management should be aware this . No is not a word you want to hear from your waiter!
I have been enjoying consistent, delicious food for darn near 20 years at the Grape. One of the best in Dallas bar none.
Unique, family-owned place with caring service, great food, and charming ambiance. It's everything a great bistro should be.
This restaurant is absolutely amazing. I have recommended this to anyone trying to find a new place to eat or a fun spot for a date. The food is PHENOMENAL. I have never been disappointed.
Amazing as always
Great food, local, friendly neighborhood restaurant!
The Grape has been a favorite of our's since we started dating almost 42 years ago. It is one of the few warm, quiet restaurants left in Dallas - and the food is divine! We were delighted to see that it was filled with young people the night we were there. Perhaps it will still be around (in the fickle Dallas restaurant scene) 42 years from now!
Brunch at the Grape is awesome...whether you want a traditional breakfast, a yummy waffle or want something more lunch like shrimp and grits or a burger, the menu covers it all and is ALL good! My friends and I meet up for brunch often and this is one of our favorite spots. It is actually hard to choose what to get because everything sounds and is so good.
The burger is my personal favorite and they are the best fries in Dallas hands down.
Always love the Grape. Been many years since I had been. Went for the burger and it was delicious!! I will be honest and say that I still think Maple and Motor’s burger is better though.
Great food and service as always. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Wish you allowed happy hour in the dining rooms
My entree was cold. When I let the server know ahe seemed a little put out. My husband had finished his meal before mine returned. It was a special occasion that the waitress knew about and we didn't even receive a complimentary desert or have the manager talk with us. Not worth the $120.00 we spent.
Dinner 3/14 was outstanding. Our server was outstanding. This was one of our best dining experiences in a very long time.
