Knowledgeable server. Quick. Delicious salmon and mushroom soup. Beautiful atmosphere.

Experience was good, the staff was very welcoming and attentive. Room was a little cramped but understood its Valentine’s Day and they probably put out as many sitting areas as they could get into the small back room.

We have enjoyed the Grape for 30 years so we decided to enjoy a Valentine’s Dinner there. We won’t do this in the future.
The portions were obviously smaller than usual but the price was not similarly reduced. My redfish was not hot and was undercooked with a lot of inedible skin. My Paloma cocktail was extremely bitter; sharing this with the waitress I was told it was supposed to be like that; it was replaced with a similarly disappointing Cosmo which on many previous visits had been delicious.
We left sad and disappointed that one of our favorite spots had succumbed to taking advantage of Valentine diners.
So we’ll go back but not for any event dinner.

I went The Grape for my Birthday brunch. February 11. The service was awful. The waiter brought my “Warm Cinnamon Pull Aparts” cold. The coffee was lukewarm. The waiter did not come back to check on us. Consequently, two of us had to get up and refill our own coffee cups. The main courses were OK. It took the waiter a long time to bring the bill. Then it took quite a while for him to pick up our money. I got tired of waiting and I spoke to the manager. She apologized, but did nothing. She could have taken the cold “warm cinnamon pull aparts” off the bill, but she did nothing.

I once loved The Grape, but I will not be going back.

I have loved this restaurant for 30 years...for dinner. I had heard about their award winning burgers served only at Sunday brunch so I invited my three 20-something sons for brunch. All three ordered the bacon cheeseburgers and none of them finished it, not because it was too big but because (even though they were ordered for varying degrees of wellness) they were burnt on the outside very rare on the inside and just not too tasty. The fried chicken sandwich was fine but the bun did not meet its description. I was thrilled that its slaw topping was scant. My husband was pleased with the simple breakfast of eggs and breakfast ham. The hash browns must have been the bottom of the pot. They looked like mush.
For starters we had the monkey bread. Bring your insulin if you plan to have more than a bite of this.
By the way, I still love the Grape and will be returning for dinner in the future.

Really wonderful meal; we made reservations 4 days ago but had to sit on covered patio- it was a little cold. Service was attentive and food was delicious. Loud table near us, but whatever. Mushroom soup is the best.

We were escorted to a very quiet part of the dining area near the wine racks - quietest part of the restaurant...nicest area to carry on a conversation
The food - soups , ravioli and pork chop- was outstanding as was the wine- we chose a Pinot Blanc from Brooks- outstanding taste and value. The waiter was so nice, attentive and informative. Even the valet was terrific. As always, the Grape never disappoints.

We went to The Grape to celebrate our anniversary. Everyone congratulated us and made us feel welcomed. Everything was perfect, we had the cheese & charcuterie plate, I had the steak frites and creme brulee, he had the lamb ras el hanout and chocolate cake. Service was great, we loved everything about the evening, except for the rain outside when we left.

I think my boyfriend and I try to resist calling bad service homophobia because it’s usually just bad service, but it would be damn hard to convince me it wasn’t this time. Our waiter avoided eye contact, said the minimal amount of words to us, never refilled our drinks (I had coffee, he had wine - empty glasses for the entire meal). The couples to either side of us got to hear about the specials, for their sinks refilled, had dessert offered to them, etc. - come on!

I don’t recommend gay couples eat at The Grape. The steak was cooked wrong, anyway. Rare was ordered but medium was delivered.

Afterwards, we went to Halcyon just two doors down and had incredible service and met some fine people. I say go there instead!

The Grape remains one of Dallas most iconic restaurants for more than 45 years. Last fall current owners Brian and Courtney Luscher celebrated their 10th anniversary as owners of the Grape. It is superb. Classic mushroom soup. Wonderful wine list. Great options for cheese as appetizers. Just worth a visit. Dallas classic.

The Grape is a staple for us but sadly this come as you are wine dinner was a big miss. We’ll continue to visit as this is one of our favorite spots in Dallas, but this tasting menu was a big disappointment compared to the normal delicious dinner we receive here.

seating was not acceptable. swished in with a ladder at my back. food was just so so. a real disappointment except for the mushroom soup haystack did not have scrambled eggs as the menu advertised. the roisti was not very crisp on the outside and was under seasoned as was the dish as a whole. my date's breakfast was passable but nothing special, underwhelming.
Shame, I had waited actually for years to try the Grape. I will not be going back

First time at The Grape. Fresh, delicious meals. Creative ingredients. People in our group ordered seafood, steaks, pork chop. Everyone enjoyed their meals very much. Will definitely go back to try other entrees. Attentive service. Seating a little tight between tables. Relaxed, comfortable atmosphere.

The four of us arrived early and were seated promptly. Service was great, we wanted a slow casual dinner and they asked us how we wanted to space out the courses and our server followed it expertly. We enjoyed our appetizers, cheese plate, and main courses. The restaurant was busy, but it did not interfere with the attention and service. We drove 30 miles one way to the Grape and will surely do it again.

The Grape has the best scallops and one of the best pieces of fish we’ve ever encountered. An absolute must if in the DFW metroplex.

We brought our sister in law who was visiting from San Diego for brunch. We had heard so many great things about The Grape and their famous burger. I started with the mushroom soup which was amazing! Husband had the burger and we both agreed it's best burger we've had since we moved to Dallas last year. I ordered the Shrimp and Grits. The shrimp were very good, however, the grits were bland and cold :(. We will be back for sure!

Restaurant was good, but the tables are extremely close together and our chairs were so pushed up against other people that it wasn't comfortable. You had to whisper in order to keep people from hearing your conversation.
