The Grange Bar & Eatery serves up blackboard specials, comfort grub and drinks in a friendly farmhouse-inspired space, featuring cozy booths, white oak floors, brick-lined walls and antique chandeliers. This downtown restaurant and bar also offers a tidy list of ingredient heavy dishes. Treat yourself to a roasted-beet salad, some watermelon with feta or seared crab cakes, served next to celery slaw.

The Grange is a popular neighborhood watering hole. Alongside its rotating offering of beer and wine, the 74-seat bar offers a special beverage program that features specialty cocktails such as the Convent Stroll (soda, lemon juice, ginger, whiskey and honey). Open all through the week, The Grange stays in full swing until 4 a.m. every day, making it an appealing pick for the late night crowd.

Some of the outdoor seating options are interesting and awkward but okay nonetheless. Our server was nice but didn't check on us as often as we needed assistance; the restaurant wasn't at capacity. The food was good as usual and the wine selection very decent. I will definitely return, it is close to where I live and have a lot of food menu options.

Live jazz on the Sunday night we dined made it more of an event than dinner. (set up so outdoor and indoor diners can enjoy) Wonderful trio. Market Soup (Fresh Pea) was delicious and steak salad had much higher quality steak than most "steak" salads. Do not skip the house made donuts with fix'ins. Interesting beers.

Most delicious food and excellent service. Given Covid pandemic the outdoor setting meant things were a bit "road noisy" but didn't interfere with enjoyable meal.

I came here on a date last Sunday for their jazz night. The food was incredible and the staff was nice! Just be aware if you make a reservation you will be seated inside. I wasn’t a huge fan of sitting inside and asked to be moved outside and was told it would be a 45 minute wait which was kinda a bummer. Other than that the experience was fantastic. 100% would recommend.

Always a great time at The Grange. They have a very unique menu and incredible cocktails. Service was excellent; food came out hot, several check-ins, quickly refilled water glasses, and great follow up.

The outside dining is very lovely; could use a few more plants to create a more substantial barrier on Amsterdam, but overall very nice.

The Grange is a very good and reliable neighborhood place for casual dining. Great selection of beers and wines. Good burgers too. Service is good, friendly, and generally attentive. The Grange features live jazz on Sunday nights. We’re very happy that they seem to be surviving the pandemic. For now, all dining is outside. The only drawback to eating there—and it isn’t the restaurant’s fault—is the noise level on Amsterdam Avenue. It’s pretty horrendous. If you go, be prepared for that.

The server was fantastic! However, the hostess was not. When I arrived, she did not have the table that I had requested. Which would normally be understandable, but she JUST sat another customer there whose full party wasn’t even with them. So she clearly did not read my reservation note. And on top of it, she tried to pass the blame upon the wait staff, who was doing double duty already, for her ignorance. We’re people, we all make mistakes. But the worst part about it, was this hostess not apologizing & pointing fingers at her own coworker—not acceptable, period.

This neighborhood gem is the best. I treated myself to an early dinner and my book and it was lovely. Every employee is beyond friendly, and seating is very appropriately distanced, which I appreciated. The seating isn’t the most comfortable but I didn’t mind because I enjoyed my time so much. I had the burrata and peach salad which blew my mind, seriously so so tasty. I also had my favorite Austin East Cider Watermelon that they had on draft. The best. Towards the end of my meal it began to torrential DOWN POUR, so everyone huddled under the awning which was a sweet little shared experience. I cannot speak highly enough about this spot. Will definitely be back time and time again.

What a great evening! This was the first time I've gone out to eat since quarantine. There were three of us, we each had drinks, apps, and mains. I loved my scallops and pork chop. My friend had the Sunday prime rib special and couldn't believe she finished her "Fred Flintstone" chop. We all loved our special cocktails. The service was outstanding.

Had a reservation, it didn’t matter. We still waited 20 minutes outside waiting to be seated. The table was wobbly and there were flies everywhere. To eat over a vent is never a good idea . The food was okay, my wife’s salad didn’t have arugula, but a ton of spinach. My steak was not NY strip size but the risotto was good. It was an okay experience . Maybe pick a middle of the week day and be there early.

Delicious food and cocktails! I had a drink with mezcal in it. My date had a french pinot noir he enjoyed. For dinner I had the walnut bolognese & he had the brisket. I was so pleased with the bolognese it’s now my favorite and I will visit the restaurant specifically just for this dish. Thank you for accommodating to vegans. He also loved his dish thought he wasn’t going to be full but when he finished he was stuffed. Awesome service! Especially during this pandemic. Xo

Celebrating my mother’s birthday during Covid was a must. The Grange was not too far from our residence and we reserved a table at the beginning of dinner. The Salmon filet, Steak salad, and Sirloin and brisket burger were delicious. The dessert menu consisted of 3 items which we tried the strawberry chocolate tart (rich dark chocolate flavor) and donut balls. I would suggest you have the blueberry sauce served on the side.
We would definitely go again.

I love love love the food there. Never disappointed. Bread pudding is beyond fantastic..and i made a mean bread pudding myself, but theirs is brilliant. Only thing i can say which may be annoying is the music level. It does tend to be too high forcing people to speak very loudly. Other than that so good!

Made a reservation on Valentine's Day for a prix fixe dinner with my husband. We were shown to a communal table and told the tables for two were reserved for others. I mentioned that we, too, had reserved a table and wanted a separate one. After waiting while the hostess got the owner's approval, we got a table for two. Our waiter was very attentive. The appetizers--shaved asparagus salad and gnocchi--were outstanding. So was my husband's steak. But the scallops I ordered were thin and watery, as if they'd been boiled. Big disappointment. The bed of lentils had chorizo--I probably missed that on the menu. I don't eat meat, and the waiter returned with a fresh, sausage-free batch for me. Desserts were nice, but I came home hungry.

I go to the Grange often because their food never lets me down. This time was no exception. I had been craving a burger all week and they satisfied my craving. I tried the garlic parmesan fries for the first time ever and they were delicious. We didn’t feel rushed to leave after we finished our meal, which was appreciated.

The service was excellent. However, charging the customer 3.5 % service charge to pay by credit card is nickel & diming the customer.

We are moving towards a cashless society and this pre-historic restaurant is penalizing customers for using their bank card.

Will never return or recommend this establishment to friends and associates.
