This was my first visit to the Grand Marlin as I am from Texas; definitely will be a must every time I am in Pensacola. Have already highly recommended it to several friends. Service was great and you cannot beat the ambience.

Great local, fresh fish dishes. The fried lobster appetizer was tender and had a very good savory sauce that complimented the shellfish without overwhelming the flavor. The entire table was satisfied with their choices from the fresh redfish to the cioppino.

We came as visitors from a Florida location on the East coast with numerous fine seafood restaurants but were still very impressed with the ambiance, quality of food and service at Grand Marlin. We’ll be back the next time we’re in Pensacola! Exceptional.

Enjoyed spending Thanksgiving dinner at The Grand Marlin! We had the Parmesan crusted grouper piccata, with sautéed spinach, and mashed potatoes, it was excellent. This is one of our go to restaurants when vacationing in Pensacola Beach!

The menu has marked items gluten free and I ordered the Scottish Salmon but my Nima detected gluten. The manager came over and asked “Did you order it gluten free”? Insinuating it was my fault it wasn’t ordered that way.

I explained to him the menu was not marked “can be gluten free if ordered that way”. He didn’t understand what gluten would have done to someone with Celiacs. Nor did he apologize for the mixup.

The food was fantastic...except for the pecan pie which was very very dry and had way too many pecans. I know that sounds odd but pecan pie is supposed to have some caramel and this was like a pie crust filled with toasted pecans and a little syrup on them. The service was great and I can’t say enough good things about the rest of our meal. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to friends and family.

This was our second Thanksgiving at Grand Marlin Pensacola and it was even better than last year! It was so cozy and we felt welcomed by our amazing server, Gina. We were seated at 4:30 and greeted by the gorgeous sunset view. We had the kale caesar and swordfish with mashed potatoes and green beans. Everything was cooked perfectly. Such a lovely evening!

I was rather disappointed with our Thanksgiving meal. The cornbread stuffing tasted like sawdust.... very grainy. I got a thimble size portion of cranberry relish and when I asked for more, I was told they didn’t have any more!!!! This was at 4 pm and they were open for several more hours!!!

This is not the norm for Grand Marlin and I was thoroughly disappointed with my Thanksgiving meal.

Our table was lovely--spectacular view, nice linens, substantial flatware--and the food and wine could not have been better. Even a sparkling rose wine was available as as aperitif. This will be our go-to place in the future.

We frequently visit Pensacola Beach & have always enjoyed the local atmosphere. We were having a small family celebration & had several friends recommend the Grand Marlin. Having never been there before, we did not really know what to expect, but based on the pricing we dressed very nice for a great evening out. Our dining area was the equivalent of a covered patio. It was loud & dimly lit. The food was absolutely outstanding! As we were leaving I went to the restroom & there on the other side of the restroom I saw an entrance to a true upscale restaurant. It wasn't busy, so I'm not sure why we were not seated there to begin with, but I know I will be requesting the actual dining room next time. Great food & good service.

Food and staff were excellent. Could improve overall experience by dealing with the ambient noise level with some sound suppression material installed in the ceiling areas mostly in the patio area but also in the main dining areas.

Always a great experience when we come to Grand Marlin! It was our anniversary and the waiter brought us a custom dessert of ice cream and fruit in a pecan waffle shell! 10/10 would go back.

This was my second time to have lunch at The Grand Marlin. Both were business lunches and both were very good. Atmosphere, service, and food were great. Menu had a variety of fresh seafood items to choose from. Even saw a few dolphins in the bay. Will definitely dine here again.

I visited on a Sunday evening with a friend celebrating a personal achievement. The food and service (provided by Malia) was excellent. The otherwise perfect evening was marred by two occurrences that were entirely avoidable. First, when we checked in for our reservation, the hostess walked us through a half empty restaurant and tried to seat us behind a pillar out of view of the dining room, next to the kitchen door. Second, after we paid our bill and made our way home, we received an email from Open Table informing us that the restaurant had reported us as no-shows. When I called the restaurant, Emily the hostess said she would fix it and then Lonnie, the manager on duty, hopped on the phone and said there was nothing he could do to fix the situation. No apology.

My boyfriend and I came here for our 7 year anniversary and it was spectacular! I wish I could remember our waitress’ name because she was awesome :) I got the salmon and he got the scallops special. Both were incredible. You never know what you’ll get with more expensive places, especially in a tourist area- but Grand Marlin was definitely worth every dollar.
