I really wanted to love this restaurant; I had been here many years ago and remembered a fantastic, unique and wonderful meal, complete with amazing views of the Tetons......unfortunately, this visit was very disappointing. The views were still fantastic, and the food fair, but nothing utterly amazing as it had been in the past.
I guess it started when the bartender couldn't seem to get our drinks right, I don't know what kind of alcohol he was using, but it wasn't the one we asked for.......twice, we sent our drinks back, and then gave up and decided to go for wine. OK, but our waiter couldn't find the bottle we desired, he had to go ask someone to find it, and after much searching, they finally did!! Phew! So, very parched now, we got our wine and it was great, our salmon appetizer came, and it was only lukewarm (despite the warning from our waiter to 'not touch' for fear of a burn! HA! ) So not wanting to be total pains, we ate it. It was good, but would have been better hot. Our bread was likewise warmed in a microwave........
I had the arugula salad, which was very good, but my husband ordered the cesar salad, which looked like two very damaged and strangled heads of romaine......I thought they had to have been grilled, that's what they looked like, but NO, they were 'fresh'????? and not that tasty. He struggled through the salad, and now I wonder why we didn't send that back too!
So, then the main course; I had trout, which was very good, but it was on a bed of kale or some other very crunchy green leafed veggie. Strange choice, and difficult to chew. My husband had the lamb, and felt it was good, but a little gamey and fatty. Very Disappointing. Just like the rest of our experience.
We declined desert.
We will probably not ever go here again, but go to the competition, Amangani, next door, as my guess is that the presence of competition has affected the quality of the Granary. Too bad. Mother Nature's views are still amazing.

Our meal at The Granary was the culmination of a wonderful week in the Jackhole Hole area, and a spectacular way to celebrate a birthday on top of it! Our waiter, Vlad, was friendly, helpful, and attentive. The maitre d' helped me pull over a surprise on the birthday boy. The bartenders were chatty and made delicious cocktails.

And oh the food! And the view! And the sunset! And the jazz pianiast/singer serenading the bar area. {Don't know if this happens nightly, but we were lucky to have had this added pleasure on Saturday evening.)

Elk tenderloin was perfectly named and served--yum!!!

Very disappointed. I made a reservation for my husband and myself weeks before our visit via Open Table requesting a window table, which to me means a table AT the windows. I realize that there is a view of the mountains from all tables, but I specifically requested a window table. My husband and I arrived 30 minutes before our reservation time letting the hostess know we had arrived and I noted that I had requested a window table. In her snippy way she let me know that they don't honor any specific table requests and that we'd be seated at a table that was available. I was not happy; I'd made the reservations weeks in advance and was 30 minutes early. So, my husband and I sat at the bar for a drink before dinner. Again, the staff was efficient enough, but not particularly friendly. When we were seated at our table it was the third row back from the window; I let the woman who seated us know that I wasn't happy and that I wanted to speak to the manager when we finished our meal, to which she agreed. Our server, Englishrob (sp?) was very nice and a pleasure to have serving us. My dinner of elk tenderloin was delicious; I have no complaints about that. My husband ordered the trout on a bed of spinach, which I sampled. The trout was delicious, but the spinach was very gritty. Not acceptable. No manager ever approached us. Yes, I could have asked to speak to the manager, but I would have expected him/her to come to me, the customer. So, instead I thought I'd submit a review. Overall, it was an just an OK experience. Yes, the mountains were fabulous, but other than that I thought the ambiance of the place was bland and boring. For super friendly staff, really delicious food, and a fun experience I'd recommend Bin 22 in Jackson any time.

Mixed review: rating 3 stars only because our waiter, Vladimir, was fantastic and worked very hard to keep up with his tables while having to support a large, loud group that dominated the dining area. The food was pricey with small portions but was quite good and well-prepared. Our main complaint is that that we made this reservation for my wife’s 40th birthday, noting that in the request and asking for a cozy, quiet table. Not only was the occasion not acknowledged but we were seated in the middle of the room next to an obnoxiously loud, large group. I was bumped in the back and chair by the family and staff at least 5 times with no apologies. Very disappointing for what we requested and how things went. I’ve had better experiences in sports bars.

Very disappointed. Made a reservation in advance and was placed at a table no where near window, but near the door next to the deck that everyone used to go outside to make pictures. We sat in an area all by ourselves and had to watch others walk by to be seated at tables where they could enjoy the view. ☹️

This was perhaps the worst "fine" dining experience we have had in years of dining around the US and internationally. I had made the reservation online in my name (Joanne). When we arrived my companion (Frank) told the server/greeter we had a reservation, to which he responded, "That's funny, you don't look like a Joanne" and then took us to our table, stating that they had two large groups booked for the evening and that "the staff are gonna get killed tonight". Rude, unprofessional, unwelcoming. We waited more than 30 minutes for our entrees to arrive. My "medium-rare" steak was done medium well, brown almost all the way through. The server agreed that it was over-done and offered to bring another. The second steak was nearly raw (lightly seared with bright red, uncooked meat for most of the thickness). The server saw this as well, and offered me a different meal. I declined and asked to speak to a manager. I was told that she was very busy and could not come to our table. I asked the server to remove the raw steak; Frank was halfway through his entree and I did not want to wait another 30 minutes for a meal for myself. We again asked for the manager and were again told she was too busy. The server then brought our check to the table while Frank was still eating. I noted that we had been charged an extra $10 for my vegetable "substitution" and I asked the server to remove this charge from the check. I had eaten nothing all evening. A few minutes later the manager arrived to ask what my "problem" was with the $10 charge, so I explained that as well as the entire fiasco. She apologized and blamed it on a "language barrier" because our server was Romanian; removed the $10 but charged the full amount for Frank's meal (pheasant, which was overcooked and very dry, although we did not mention this). What a terrible experience!! I RARELY return food, and have NEVER declined it twice.

We are on vacation and this place was recommended for its beautiful views and fine dining. It was perfect! If you can time it for sunset even better. The colors on the mountains are picture perfect. Our waiter was from England and he and the rest of the staff were attentive, friendly and responsive. Everything we ate was fantastic, but the lamb was definitely one of the best I’ve had. I also suggest the cheese, meat, honey and jam appetizer (can’t remember the exact name). It is pricey, but the food and view are worth the trip if you are in Jackson hole.

There are 4 criteria that this place should be measured by:
1. Food quality
2. Wine selection
3. Service
4. Location and view

On all 4 this, it is absolutely outstanding 5 start place. If you are in Jackson, don't miss it

Too many better choices in Jackson albeit without the view. Leadership needs to step up and deliver a better overall experience. Food will fly out of the kitchen before you have had a chance to eat your first course. Bartender told me to grab a table on the deck and a waiter would take my drink order, after twenty plus minutes I came back in to order from the bar as no one came out (it wasn't even busy). Come for the view but stick with a burger a fries and be prepared to wait for any kind of service. This was to be my end of vacation highlight...oh well.

Great view table, sadly smoke was blocking the view of the Tetons....beautiful anyway. Food was great. Slow getting the cocktails to the table....over 15 minutes which was strange as there were so few people there at 6:30...but very good when arrived. Dinner was prompt. Only recommendation would be that the restaurant address the dining chairs. We all noticed the dip in the seats....kind of a valley in the upholstery. Otherwise a lovely evening.

My only suggestion would be that you not allow cell phones to be used while in the restaurant or on the deck. We had a great table on the deck, the best service (Stacey), but we were subjected to a couple, mostly the woman, who was talking on her her cell phone in a foreign language. It went on and off for an hour. Other tables were also looking at her. She had the phone on speaker.
I realize this is a difficult topic, but honestly I think you can post no cell phone use at the door or on the menu but cell phone conversations should be taken elsewhere....not in the restaurant.

A wonderful restaurant away from the insanity of Town Square on the top of a Butte with straight on views of the Teton Mountain Range. Have dinner at sunset and watch the colors over the mountains with birds flying below you. It is fancy food so expect more of that style dining. The food was frankly some of the best I have tasted. Service was superb. It was excellent in everyway and frankly didnt cost me as much as some of the other restaurants on town. We will definitely be back..
