Thanks for everything. We were especially impressed by our waiter and the gal he was training. His attention to special dietary needs was exemplary. The entire experience was wonderful on an otherwise rainy, dreary day!
Good time for the family on moms 90th Birthday. Thanks for making us feel at home.
Great food and very reasonably priced considering the quality. Comfort with a twist.
Very pleasant experience. Excellent wait staff (Kyle)
So annoying when a restaurant is empty but you are seated next to the only other (loud) party in the dining room. Waitress was absentee. Food was cold.
We usually go to lunch through the week in main dining room or dinner in tavern and have always had great service and a quite relaxing time. This was not a relaxing quite day and waitress was very slow and not attentive even rude when asked for more jelly😐 not a good way to celebrate dads day.
On positive note... food was served quick, fresh and good as always!!!
My friend camev yoo from Atlanta.. had tov take her to the oldest inn in Ohio.. I've been there several times in my lifetime.. living in warren county.. it's a must... always is phenomenal.. never had a bad experience..a 10 + 5 stars and 2 thumbs up.. my friend absolutely loved the historic presence.
Early Father's Day dinner. Seated at arrival. Steve was a great waiter. Very friendly and helpful. Filet, bone-in pork chop special and Ricotta app were fantastic! Took tour of hotel before dinner was served. One of a kind restaurant/inn.
The restaurant is one of our all time favorites and we were very excited to be able to go with our son and daughter-in-law while we were back visiting to celebrate our 45th wedding anniversary. The food was excellent and the service as we remembered it...exemplary. We will be back the next time we are in southeast Ohio.
The Golden Lamb restaurant is housed in a historic building in downtown old Lebanon. They serve brunch on the weekends with a special menu that includes libations. The decor in the dining area is antique and patrons are welcome to explore. It is rumored that the place is haunted and many go looking for ghosts. The service is wonderful and the town itself is full of cute shops, definitely worth a day trip.
We enjoyed our evening. The food and service were really good. My only disappointments were the dinner entree prices (should have been about $5 cheaper) and the non-dairy whipped cream on my pie (real whipped cream is something I look forward to having). The higher expense I think of as a museum fee because preserving that historical hotel is a worthy and no doubt, expensive, effort. A better marked front entrance would have been appreciated. We were confused at first because of the tavern and hotel entrances. A 'Hotel and Restaurant' sign over the front door would have helped.
Our family has been coming to the historic Golden Lamb for decades. The food is good and you learn some history along the way. Lebanon is a nice small town with some lovely shops.
Our Server was outstanding, friendly but not overly so, attentive and helpful. Our food was delicious and attractively presented. We had a nice table by the window. It was a very nice visit, but then we have always loved the Golden Lamb!

Very pleasant dining experience. Service was excellent.
My wife and I had a wonderful meal at The Golden Lamb for our 1 year wedding anniversary. The food was excellent and the staff was friendly and attentive. We've been many times and have always had a great experience and very good meal.
We celebrated our daughter's birthday. The service, ambiance, and food was delicious. Thank you very much for including gluten free options include the delicious flourless chocolate cake!
My husband and our friends loved the food and our experience at the Golden Lamb. Will definitely go there again.
My friend and I enjoyed a nice lunch with chicken salad on a bed of lettuce and fresh fruit. Delicious!
The menu offered a nice variety and everything guests chose was well prepared and presented. The staff were friendly and efficient and made us feel comfortable. There was a nice low buzz of conversation in the dining room.
I live in Lebanon , and The Golden Lamb is my go to restaurant for guests and out of towners.
I am proud to have such an historical establishment in my area.
We were celebrating our anniversary and were somewhat disappointed with the experience. The tables for 2 were scattered amongst the tables for 8-12 so the noise level at times was too much for a quiet dinner. The menu was also somewhat disappointing for the price. The server was excellent!! Best part of the experience. But each time we go back we seem to be more disappointed in the overall dining experience.
Excellent food - great service!!!
We had a group from age 3 to age 59, all had a great time and enjoyed the food.
My daughter and I first went there for Mother’s Day brunch and my daughters birthday. We walked out because we were ignored. The management contacted us and sent a gift certificate. This time it was a great experience. We especially loved the sauerkraut balls!
Hadn’t been there in decades. So glad to be able to visit again after all these years! Great food and great service!
Love the atmosphere and great service. My favorite food is the fried chicken.
The food and ambiance was really good. I ordered a salmon salad which was fantastice, I just wish they had given me more actual salad. We also order the Kraut Balls as an appetizer...I highly recommend them!
There is nothing new or exciting on the menu so if you're looking for anything 'creative' or adventurous, this is not the place for you. Fried chicken, a Thanksgiving roast turkey dinner, etc etc--very folksy and too down to earth for any celebration.
I ordered salmon without the maple syrup (really) and it was sooo overdone and dried out, I would barely eat it. Very disappointing and not worth its $26 price.....
The wait staff was very nice and hospitable.....
My husband and I were celebrating our wedding anniversary with dinner at the Golden Lamb on Saturday 5/19 where we also had our rehearsal dinner. The food was fantastic as usual, as well as the service. We had a new server in training and both she and the main server she was shadowing were excellent. We were very well taken care of. And they even gifted us with a piece of the Shaker Sugar Pie which we had never had. It is now our new favorite. The Golden Lamb always holds such wonderful memories for us and we will for sure be coming back. Thank you again.
I had made the reservation online 3 weeks ahead. When we arrived the man who seated us was not very pleasant. He put our party of 8 back by the kitchen. I was very disappointed. There was constant walking back and forth thru the kitchen doors. There was so many other open tables I didn’t understand why he seated us there. My family was from out of town and I was hoping to get a good seat where they could look around. Our waitress seemed extremely rushed and not real attentive to us in general. We did get out food fairly quickly. The food was very good and everyone said that they would come back for the food.
Very enjoyable lunch with friends. Very good food and excellent service in a comfortable, historic setting! Excellent server! We willl be back soon!
Anniversary dinner- the food was very good. We come every year, and will be back.
The food was great, the service was great, and the atmosphere was great. I would definitely go back!
I took my wife there for a nice Mother’s Day dinner. And that is what we got. The food, service, and comfort were all top quality. We were promptly served and the service was friendly, attentive, and not at all rushed. We expected a good experience and that is just what we got!
This restaurant has maintained the quality food for a long time. Not all restaurants are able to do so.
More vegetarian options would be welcomed, maybe a vegetable plate with several choices.
Went for a late lunch for Mother's Day. Excellent food and service like always.
The food and ambiance was absolutely wonderful. The food was well prepared and delicious, as usual. We've come to expect and appreciate the quality that is signature Golden Lamb. As a long time (45+ years) customer, we've enjoyed many memorable dinners here. My only concern, and let me stress this is not what we typically experience here, was the service. While we realize that Mothers Day or any holiday is busier than expected, our waitress was clearly overwhelmed. We sat with empty glasses for the last half of our meal until we were able to flag down a busboy who graciously brought us refills. Nevermind the request for an additional item that went without response. Happily, the dinner was still great thanks to the kitchen staff - Thank You! Great job. She did come out to apologize to several tables so, she was aware of the poor quality service she was providing. Wish she had enlisted the help of other staff prior to having customers seek out help on their own. We were not her only customers who requested assistance from other staff members. Maybe some additional training would be in order.
Mother’s Day- we just wish a breakfast menu was available. The meals were quite heavy for a brunch time.
Mary our server was fantastic. A great time as always.
Always a great choice for a nice meal
