Will not DO lunch there again. NO LUNCH SPECIALS with soup and salad or soup and 1/2 sandwich ! I don't eat a big lunch and had to order one item- my friend ordered a bowl of soup and a salad so big she had to take it home ?? What happened to A CUP OF SOUP??? There are other places to eat IN Lebanon.. so you can bet FOR LUNCH we will be trying those next time we are eating there. NO soup is worth $6.00 a bowl either !!! they really DON'T need 2 working women eating lunch there - that's for sure !!

This was my first time for lunch at the Golden Lamb. I was pleasantly surprised at how good it was. The service was excellent.

Good food, great service. We’ll return!
However, I’ll write a review as long as I want, not as long as you so rudely specify!

My wife found the salmon to be overdone...I thought the chicken dinner was mostly batter and overpriced...everything else was quite good.

Wonderful food and service for my daughter and I. Unfortunately the table next to us was loud and an individual was demanding. But that did not make a real difference. We love coming here!

We visit the Golden Lamb for our girls' weekend every November. We have eaten at the restaurant for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. All of our meals have been delicious, and we always look forward to their house salad. We are great fans of the Golden Lamb!

Left my dinner in the hands of our waitress. I️ was not disappointed. The beef braised rib with cheesy grits was phenomenal! Always a treat to go back for my son’s birthday every year.

The food is always good as is the service. You can even ask for the historian to come to your table and tell you about the hotel and restaurant. Nice place!!

Quite honestly we were very dissapionted. It had been 25 years since we last ate at Golden Lamb and we were looking forward to an excellent meal. We have a special needs son and getting away for a nice dinner is difficult. I ordered the tenderloin and it was very dry. Told the waiter and he brought me some turkey gravy. Helped some , but not a good solution. Another person in our group ordered prime rib. It was also very dry . She asked for extra aujus. I don’t know if we will return, sad to say.
I rarely give feedback, but thought our experience merited some in this case.

The Golden Lamb's traditional menu is good as ever, love the traditional items. Once again the Chief has their seasonal menu as well, a 3 course meal for $35. Currently "The Fall Harvest" is full of great thinking out of the box. I had nails, followed by squash bisque soup, and finally Fresh water fish over a grilled medially of potato, dried tomato, grape sized onions, brussel sprouts, and asparagus. Every course tasted great.

Every meal we’ve had at the Golden Lamb has been exceptionally good, with the service to match. This was our first time having brunch there, with a large group. Our server was prompt, courteous, and very helpful. The menu, while not large, offered an array of breakfast selections and everyone was able to find something to their taste. The food itself was fresh, artfully prepared and of course, delicious. Several of us had cocktails (mimosas all around and one Golden Mary) and they were equally as good. My father, a coffee snob, have five cups without coming up for air (I’d say that’s a success).
We will absolutely go back, and would love to bring more friends with us so they can savor the experience.
The nice thing about this restaurant is you never feel rushed. The servers aren’t pushing to take your order and no one is slamming checks down on the table to keep the line moving. It’s a comfortable and quiet restaurant-a place you can relax and enjoy yourself.
We love the Golden Lamb!

Wonderful ambience, food and service. If you get the chance ask to be seated in Ryan's section, shes the best . On the other hand ask not to be seated by the kitchen door. Between the kitchen and the very loud table next to us it was very noisy.

We enjoyed the lunch. The service was excellent. However when we went upstairs to see the various presidential rooms, and especially that of Charles Dickens, we had to make a stop in the ladies restroom. We were surprised to see the exceptionally low toilets, even in the larger booth presumed to be for handicap. Unfortunately, one of our party, slightly handicapped after a knee replacement had to be helped off the commode-the booth did not have a handrail and not of the booths comply with the law for handicapped access. I hope this will be rectified soon.

We were on our way home from Cincinnati and we stopped off to eat at the historical Golden Lamb. My wife and I are history buffs and had always wanted to eat here. The restaurant maintains its historical charm and atmosphere in historical Lebanon, Ohio. The food was excellent and hardy. The fried chicken was done wonderfully and is only lightly coated; skin was crisp and light. My wife had the "Sticky Burger." Try it! The flavors all work with one another. We did not have any alcoholic beverages but the menu looked wonderful and the non-alcoholic bumbleberry soda was refreshing. We will return... maybe during the winter Carriage Parade and Christmas Festival.

First time eating here since it's about an hour away. Loved the ambience...over 200 years old. Loved the local honey served with our fried chicken dinner. The apple butter and biscuits were great comfort food. Splurged on a shared dessert...warm apple cinnamon bread pudding with vanilla sauce! Service was excellent. Will definitely be back.

Golden Lamb is the oldest inn on Ohio. Beautiful location in historic Lebanon, Ohio. Service is always excellent and the food is wonderful - they support local Ohio farms. We’re lucky we live so close to this historic gem.

We had a family birthday lunch. First, the service was excellent and our waitress was very personable and knowledgable about the menu. Food arrived promptly and was beautifully presented. Everything was delicious. We enjoyed the famous sauerkraut balls for a shared appetizer. Entrees included the vegetable cobbler which was loaded with mushrooms and other veggies with a biscuit crumble and creamy goat cheese. The salmon sandwich on ciabatta had a wonderful garlic aioli that complimented the salmon. The butternut squash bisque was thick and perfect for a cool day. One diner enjoyed the fried chicken and said it was the best he had ever had anywhere. Our waitress brought out a piece of their famous sugar cream pie (it even had a creme brulee hard sugar glaze) with a candle for our birthday gal. The rest of us shared the coconut pie and apple bread pudding. It was a perfect birthday celebration!

We enjoyed taking our grandchildren to the Golden Lamb. Although pricey, the food was good. We were disappointed that after we finished eating at 8:10, the gift shop had already closed on a busy Saturday night. We'd promised each of the kids they could go shopping.

The incredible history of this building will get you to try it, but the food will bring you back.
I had the noodles & beer cheese with the signature salad to start. Awesome! Also, we shared the "famous" sauerkraut balls. They should be famous, they are incredible. Even one of our party doesn't like sauerkraut, but love these, as they are a mild taste with mostly beef and pork.
We will be back.
