Made reservation early planning to treat family to a nice Sunday brunch. Upon being seated we found they don’t offer brunch in December. Big disappointment. Despite the early hour, we stayed and ordered from the regular dinner/Christmas menu. The restaurant was cozy, welcoming, and beautifully decorated for the season. The food was acceptable but some of the dishes were served less than warm. Wife’s quiche was room temp and inedible. They apologized and removed it from the bill. Overall a nice place to visit for the history and ambiance but you can get the same meal at Cracker Barrel.

Excellent time. Food was great. Server was excellent. My only negative was having a table near the kitchen doors and with servers going in and out, I was afraid of getting hit by trays with food or dishes. Still, I highly recommend and have no issues with going back. We have been visiting The Golden Lamb for 35 years.

Love the ambiance at the Golden Lamb. The food was good, but a little over priced. Our server was nice, but the service was slow. We
dined at a time when it wasn't that
busy. I would return to the Golden Lamb.

Family Holiday lunch. Server was great. Food good. Chicken basket had small pieces, and even smaller helping of coleslaw. Quality was good overall. Tour of upstairs interesting. Could use more or bigger restrooms, lines long when crowded.

An excellent place to have lunch with a friend, especially at Christmas. Lunch was great and we enjoyed touring the rooms upstairs and their gift shop is the best!

We've come here for Christmas dinner for 22 years. It's very festive! It's become something our family looks forward to every year. The food is very good but not exceptional. The salmon is dry so steer from that but the fried chicken is great as well as the steaks. Dessert is worthwhile. You can't beat the ambiance for Christmas. Truly beautiful!

The staff was excellent, from the time we arrived to when we left. They were spot on, always ready to accommodate your requests. There was a line after the evening Christmas parade, but the staff had everyone seated with only a 5 minute wait. I look forward to going back.

We had reservations for 7:17 pm and we actually got seated 15 minutes early . Very nice as restaurants usually run behind on their reservations.
Our waiter was very nice and gave us all wonderful service .
This restaurant will be in our rotations for group get together. Was a plus we could view the Christmas parade from our tables !

Overall I liked the Golden Lamb. The service, food and drinks were top notch. The experience however was marred by an endless flow of people back and forth to the bar at the back of the restaurant. Like sitting and dining in a hallway. I'd go back but be picky about where i sat.

My friend and I left stuffed - the food and service was outstanding - absolutely outstanding. The menu was limited, so there were NO vegetarian options.
The restaurant had quite a few open tables, but next to our table was a table of 6. They were so loud that my friend and I could barely talk to one another. The noise level was awful. Our ears hurt from the loud conversations & almost yelling that happened at that table. I realize the restaurant has no control, but the noise but such a damper on our day and left me with a sour taste of our afternoon at The Golden Lamb.

We had a reservation (4) days ahead and they sat us right by the kitchen door. There was alot foot traffic wanting a table as the Holiday parade just ended. They were seated in better seats than those of us who already had a reservation.

Lunch on Dec 2, day of the Carriage Parade. We have been attending and eating at Golden Lamb for years. Expected limited menu due to crowd. BUT the menu was limited to two course meals ranging from $23- $36. This was way too much food for a lunch, way too expensive for a lunch. None of us could finish these big meals so took leftovers to the parade and then home. A couple of their good sandwiches, or the soup, salad that was offered as a first course would have been a much better alternative for many of the diners [discussion in line for the restroom]. Though the food was good, we did feel that the Golden Lamb was exploiting their customers by offering only large , expensive meals. Shame on them.

The place was amazing. Our server which I can’t remember her name was fantastic. Food was great and good for the price. The filet was perfect and they had the best kids chicken fingers I’ve had. The only think that I disliked was seeing a member of the staff. Looked like a manager go out and remove chairs in front of the place for the next days parade. That was kinda of mean.

We were very excited to be in Lebanon for the Christmas Carriage parade for the first time. I have wonderful memories of going to the Golden Lamb, even as a small child. Many times during my life, we would come to eat there with our children during the Christmas season, as a special treat. I don't know what has happened to this fine restaurant, but it has gone down quite considerably.

You cannot have a special meal in a place where the host treats you like you are bothering him, the waitresses are running about, obviously harried and having difficulty keeping up. We were seated for 15 minutes before our waitress ever made the initial approach to our table. We ordered our food (having had plenty of time to think about it), and we ordered water and coffee. Our drinks came 10 minutes later and the coffee was cold. Our waitress ran back and forth numerous times, right past us and never stopping, so my husband drank the cold coffee.

When our food arrived, it was hot and very delicious. I have no complaints about the food, only that the atmosphere of rushed craziness and inattention, tended to take away from it all. When the waitress checked back, we asked for several things but she never brought them and never returned at all until she brought the check.

I've been in the restaurant business for over 40 years and I've worked every restaurant position. I know how it is when there is a big event in town and you are very busy. You should be prepared!

On another subject, we and our friends set our chairs on the sidewalk in front of the restaurant after dinner, in order to have them placed for the parade. Later that night, we were told much later, the Golden Lamb employees moved the chairs in order to take a delivery. That was fine, but they should have replaced them because when people came back Saturday and saw their chairs moved and others in their place, it caused a lot of trouble and hard feelings.

Have been coming here for many years at Christmas. Brought some friends for lunch and all truly enjoyed everything. The food and service were outstanding (have to love those sauerkraut balls!). The gift shop was well stocked with many lovely and reasonably priced things. Everyone was so friendly and those in our group that had never been were delightfully surprised. The Golden Lamb is truly a special place. Especially at the holidays!

In numerous trips to the Golden Lamb throughout the past few years, I have never been disappointed with the food. Taste is excellent, portions are good and the selection is plentiful. The Inn is something to see if you've yet to experience it, especially around the holidays when it's decorated. It's a comfortable place for dinner or lunch.

What a cool restaurant. The historical ambiance is so unique and the restaurant has a great staff. Being the holiday season it was decorated in a festive way. The food is very good but not the strongest point for eating here, I would recommend a visit to anyone who loves Ohio.

My husband and I visited the Golden Lamb for Thanksgiving this year. I was a little apprehensive due to the holiday about service and food, but was pleasantly surprised at both. The turkey dinner was delicious, the atmosphere was pleasant, and we had a great waitress.

Service was very good and we were seated within 5 minutes of our reservation time despite the enormous crowds for Thanksgiving dinner. The food was also very good though $6.25 for a small slice of pie seemed a bit steep. And they could be more generous with the celery seed dressing on the cottage cheese. But overall it was a nice holiday meal.

We love the family atmosphere at the Golden Lamb and have favorite dishes. We tried prime rib for the first time and it was tough. We didn't want to complain because we still had a nice time but one of our daughters did tell the manager. He apologized profusely and gave us a $50 gift certificate. We appreciated this very much.

We had abeautifully prepared and delicious lunch in this wonderful, restored Inn. If the walls could talk, what would they say? Talk of days of old. Our young waiter was quite charming and very attentive. My husband loved his lamb burger and the bean soup was beyond compare.
Even the fries were extra special.
I had the banana pie....my how decadant. All in all, it was a wonderful experience and we look forward to dine there again when we are in this area.
