Welcome to The Goat's Beard! Manayunk's newest restaurant and bar.

For the past several months, I've been asking myself, in less than 5 words, "who are we?". I've come up with an an answer: comfortably bold, sustainable American smaller plates/domestic whiskey bar. Well maybe that's not exactly 5 words but at least you're starting to get a picture in your head.

Community is an integral part in everything we do and it's how we think. Local is the fabric of our concept. Sustainability is a very popular term in these times, but we feel it should remain relevant now and forever. With that thought process we chose a native plant to PA as our namesake.

Featuring an all-out extensive domestic whiskey/bourbon menu rivaling any in the state as well as offer a ton of craft beers. Add that to Chef Joel Romano's menu and you'll see his awesomeness plated to your delight and a restaurant that not only does a lil' good, but does it very well

My boyfriend and I came here for New Years Eve. It was great. I had the veggie tikka masala for dinner and we split the baked apple for dessert. Everything was very tasty and the server was very attentive. Overall a great experience and great ambiance for a date/end of year celebration.

They say us right by the back door and it was freezing every time someone came or left. Our waitress didn't check up on us enough. They were out of certain food. Two things ordered were barely touched because they did not taste good (one item way too spicy and the other freezing cold). Our waitress didn't say anything to us about the basically untouched 2 plates of food when she finally came to clear a ton of plates that were left on the table. Wouldn't recommend this place. I would only go back for the hummus, that was delicious!

Favorite Manayunk restaurant. If you're looking to take someone on a date here, ask to be seated upstairs where it is a little quieter. Food is amazing and they have drink and food specials online. I would recommend the steak mac and cheese. I'm not a fan of gnocchi and it's actually amazing here!

The food is very good, and the live music was an excellent guitarist/singer - on a Sunday night! I really enjoyed the warm and friendly atmosphere. It was my husband's birthday, and the staff remembered to put a candle in his brownie dessert. Our server was very friendly and did a great job. We plan to return!

I love the Goat's Beard, but their new menu offerings of Scallops and Pork Belly and the Duck Hash are both absolutely delicious. I only hope these items stick around for a while so I can have them again before the menu changes!

We were seated on the 3rd floor in a small room that only had one large farm table. The first floor has the bar and was quite busy and noisy so we were happy there were other seating options. Our server was very attentive but not intrusive. The menu had something for everyone...We agreed that we would go back.

Sunday brunch with the family. Service started out well and then drifted off. Kitchen was extremely slow or so that's what our server stated. Seemed like the delay may have been intentional to entice you to order additional beverages.
Nice menu and interesting choices of beer and alcohol.

The service was impeccable and made us feel right at home, we were a little late to our reservation and had two extra people and you guys welcomed us all in which we really appreciated!! Thanks for a fun, relaxed, cozy dinner for my friend's birthday!

The staff was friendly and attentive. Atmosphere was warm and vibrant. The food was great. Meat and Seafood was perfectly cooked. It was slightly on the pricier side, but they seem to use higher quality ingredients than most places, so not budget friendly, but worth it for a special occasion!

They describe themselves as "an American whisky bar with elevated bar food" and I think the description fits well. Their selection of whisky was good if a bit heavy on the PA sourced distilleries. As far as the food, their steak mac and cheese was outstanding. The appetizer wings were also good, but a bit salty for my taste. Great, friendly service. Certainly a place you can call a go-to spot.

Every time we have family in town we take them to the Goat's Beard. They have the best burgers and their Steak Mac and Cheese is to die for. We absolutely love this place. It has a comfortable atmosphere and you can go casual, or dress up for a date night. I would recommend it to anyone visiting Manayunk or even Philadelphia for that matter.

We waited about 15 minutes for the hostess who was not at the station. Several waiters walked by but did not offer to find or notify her we were there.

We were sat in the bar area and waited for a someone to take our order. About 10 minutes later a waitress came. We had been there a half hour at that point. They were out of 3 items we had planned to order and due to diet restrictions we we left with an egg on French fries! It was an odd meal. We waited another 30 minutes for the food. Which had been sitting a while. It was not that God but we were starving.
Would not choose to go back.
