The Glitretind Restaurant at Stein Eriksen Lodge
Wonderful Valentines celebration.
Absolutely fabulous food and attentive service. It is family friendly environment but great for romantic evening as well.
Fantastic service, ambience and food. The only sin was soda in our old fashions. High five to Katie, our server. We always enjoy coming here. A reliable standard
Beautiful dining room. Excellent service. Delicious entrees. Would like to see more seafood
We had a wonderful dinner . The food choices and drinks were great and the snowy setting was magical!
Hadn’t visited for a couple of years and now regret letting that time go by. Just a wonderful fine dining experience. The service was extremely attentive and clearly a team effort. The dining room has a mountain elegance that the cavernous new places can’t match.
The food of course was excellent. The smoked salmon accompanied by a chilled sweet potato salad was excellent with a rich smoky flavor. The butternut squash soup was rich without being so filling it infringed on the mains. The salads were well presented and had some great original touches.
For entrees, the elk loin was cooked perfectly as requested (one of our party had medium-rare and the other medium). The truffle au gratin white sweet potatoes and perfectly cooked brussel sprouts we great accompaniments. One in our party asked for the Agnolotti appetizer as a lighter option for a main and the server nicely asked if the kitchen should add a little extra to provide a little closer to an entree. That was perfect- still light but enough to make a meal.
Deserts were equally good with the home made ice creams well done but the Carmel Apple Sphere can not be missed. A frozen outer shell of carmel that started melting away as a carmel sauce was poured on top. Inside, cold ice cream, warm cake, and other sweet surprises.
My only challenge of the night was finding a wine. Not that there aren’t a lot to choose from. Maybe 25 pages in the list. But entry point for California Cabs was around $250. Bordeaux similar. Had to really hut for a wine in the $100-150 range. Ended up with a nice Zinfandel. But with a 25 page wine list a few less $2500 bottles and a few more $150 bottles would be nice. It’s not that a $250 bottle isn’t something we’d enjoy for a special occasion but this was just a nice dinner out with friends and as much as it’s a great classic meal, it’s not a top 100 US restaurant that demands higher end wine to complement the meal.
Really enjoyed our dinner there. Knowledgable staff helped as well. For sure would go back.
Very disappointing, except for Cesar who was incredibly hard-working and eager to please. The rest of the staff seemed indifferent to our experience and twice we were brought the wrong item entirely. The chef’s soup was so salty that it was inedible. Entrees were a mixed bag with our group: a couple of excellent proteins, all sides were only average and a couple of the meals were again far too salty to really enjoy.
Great meal. Great service. Beautiful mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
We had a fabulous dinner. Everything from the wine to the appetizers and dinner followed by dessert. The service is as good as the food!
Excellent food, wine, service & ambience!
Seated at a table for 4, 3 place settings, had to ask for a 4th prior to appetizer; each boy ordered a sprite, both were flat with no syrup; server asked if we were ready to order before my wife and I even had been served a drink...served our drinks and asked if we were all ready to order. At these prices, you need to get it right and certainly not rush people. Presentations were nice and food was good at best...would not recommend to others...wish we would have eaten in the lounge area.
The elk tenderloin was fantastic! Being a family that hunts and eats game regularly at home and in restaurants, the dish was outstanding, perfectly seasoned and prepared. My son and I both enjoyed every bit of the dish. The wine selections were varied, and with the sommelier’s assistance, we had a great Cab Franc to accompany our meal. My youngest son adored his themed Yeti dessert. Overall we had a delicious dinner.
Great evening of cocktails and dinner!
Great atmosphere. Food Is spectacular.
We had dinner for a party of 8 January 2 2019. The ambiance was superb as the reception area was still decorated and had a very warm feeling. The service was excellent as was the food and the cost was reasonable. We will definitely go back the next time in Deer Valley.
Food was fabulous and the service was impeccable. OT, one of our waiters, was awesome. Funny, personable, knowledgeable. Really made our night!!
Good food but lousy ambience. Room is akin to an overcrowded park lodge dining room.
This was the most perfect meal from the greeting at the hostess stand through retrieving our coats to depart. Waitresses check on us for drinks prior to our seating as we arrived about 15 before our reservation. Each staff having a concerted part in ensuring our comfort. The table was elegant in its simplicity with sprigs of evergreen laid atop our napkins. A docent took our drink orders and introduced our waiter. Each of these fine gentleman thoroughly and grandly answering any of our questions about the varied and astounding offerings. Truffles had arrived this morning and were offered as a light grated topping on our selections if we chose. The basket of bread accompanied with the chefs tasting could have filled us had we not had the restraint to await our first course. A cheek of veal, and bison and tuna tartare were artistically presented and prepared. The duck and elk were cooked to perfection, so that the game flavors were delicately complimented by a aioli and rice with cranberry respectively. The meal was perfectly proportioned, but we had no room for the temptations of their dessert menu. This is a Resturant that every foodie should experience while in Park City! All the staff were amazing, but if you happen to get OT and Hunter, you are really in for a treat!
Absolutely wonderful. Rarely do so many things go right in a meal. Perfectly cooked food, great ambience and drinks, and the staff actually seem happy. I had heard good things about Stein Erikson Lodge and was not disappointed. Very glad I picked Glitretind for this special solstice outing. thanks!
By far the best dinner we’ve had! This is our 5th night out. Would have loved to come earlier in our stay and had come more than once. I’d give them a 10+ stars if there was a choice. For overall service and food. Next time will book twice!!
They made us feel special as we celebrated our anniversary. Loved our dessert and the service! Felt the plating could have improved a little on the main dish.
All was great. Our server was fantastic and the food so very good. Enjoyed it all. Best restaurant in PC.
Food was average at best and not at all worth the price paid. Saving grace was very good service (Ignacio) and the lodge ambiance. Would not go back, though.
Everything was great
One of my favorite Park City restaurants. The food is always delicious and the service is perfect.
Birthday dinner for son and was absolutely terrible food, and service!
The Glitretind has become a restaurant where you get very small portions at a very high cost. The wine list is ridiculously overpriced. This has always been one of our favorite places to dine and enjoy an evening, but no more.........what a shame.
Always amazingly delicious, incredible ambience and 5 star service!!! Thank you for making our special occasion dinner so special.
Wonderful service and incredibly thoughtful food in a beautiful setting. One of the finest dining experiences you will find in Utah.
Food and service great. Beautiful view of full moon
I've been to Glitretand many times over the past few decades. I went Friday evening with a friend The service was excellent (Hunter) , as usual, however, the food was very disappointing. I ordered the pork chop special and my friend order the scallop appetizer and the sea bass. Beautiful meat and fish. Unfortunately, the food was so salty, it was difficult to eat it. Every dish including the bread had way too much salt. What a shame.
Wife and I both got the filet. Food was OK, but not even close to being worth it. It didn't taste fantastic. Only redeeming quality was the view. I honestly was very disappointed for a "5 star" resort.
Very good food and service in a beautiful settings looking over the Deer Valley Resort. We ate on the deck and it was very pretty but got chilly. They did provide blankets for us. Our party of four wanted to sit by one of the two outside fireplace tables but apparently they keep those for larger groups.
I can imagine this is a very different experience during ski season; but we dined here in August. The restaurant is in the back of the Stein Eriksen Resort, so count on using the valet parking and walking ~200 yards through a fabulous resort area and ski lodge. The scenery off the massive deck is that of the ski slopes and the fantastic valley to the east...fabulous. The service is exceptional, with great help from the sommelier for the 50+ page wine list. The cuisine was creative and delicious from amuse bouche through dessert. Count on paying for what you get though. With the $80 wine (one of the less expensive, but wonderful selections) and tip, the price was well over $100 each. Perfect for a special occasion with your significant other!
Can always count on a good meal at the Glitretind in Deer Valley.
We had a wonderful waiter, Hunter, and a delicious meal!
Always wonderful. Great wine selection. Food is always delicious, fresh and creative. High quality ingredients. Service is excellent. This is the place to go for beautiful views and terrific meals. Great for a special occasion or just a terrific dinner out.
Beautiful outdoor seating area overlooking the ski slopes. Great food and service.
