It was very good! We heard that the food was really good and we agree!!
This was our first time at The Gladly, but we'll definitely be back. The space was comfortable, the service excellent, and the food was wonderful.
My wife had the fish special, which was a Japanese sea bass, which was amazing. My short ribs were also very good, and the cocktails we had were great.
I was very impressed with our server. He was friendly, professional, and attentive without being intrusive. We also made a few changes to our order and everything we asked to be changed was done perfectly. It's great when the front of the house and back of the house have good communication. On that note, the chef/cooks at The Gladly are on point as the food was cooked perfectly.
My one complaint is that the bartenders are too good. My Manhattan was so tasty I'm not sure I could order one anywhere else and be happy. This is the kind of 'problem' I like experiencing.
The space was a bit noisy but that was 100% the party to our left who was having a great time and no fault of the restaurant. May good times be had by all!
Love Tim! He provides amazing service. The food and drinks are always on point 💯 of the time. After finishing my salmon I was seriously considering licking my plate and starting a slow clap standing ovation. This food is seriously amazing. Keep it up, Gladly!
I've been wanting to try The Gladly ever since a friend raved about it and it didn't disappoint. The food was wonderful and our server might be one of the most authentic and professional I have ever encountered. We tried the ice ball and totally enjoyed the process of having it made right at our table. Also, the bar didn't skimp on the drinks. I can't remember so throughly enjoying an evening in a long time.
Celebrating a friends birthday: Entering The Gladly we were met with a large open room, with tall ceilings, expansive windows and low noise level of lunch patrons chatter. Defining the space was a large wrap around bar with plenty of comfortable seating, centered tall booths, and tables lining the window areas. After checking in, we were led to a table by the window where there was a place card with "Happy Birthday" written on it. We immediately felt welcomed. We ordered cocktails and the popular Chop Salad. The waiter was attentive, but not overbearing. Upon arrival of our food, the server asked if we would like him to mix our salad for us. I recommend you do, the salad was mixed to perfection with skilled hands. The cocktails were good and the salad did not disappoint. The perfect amount of ingredients, skillfully mixed, with excellent flavour. Overall impression inviting atmosphere, great food, a nice place for lunch.
We enjoyed a wonderful Mother’s Day brunch. From reservation to end of meal, the service was excellent. We received the seating we requested, and the host offered to store my mother’s wheelchair out of the way. Meal service was timely, friendly but not intrusive. My mom and I both enjoyed our champagne and sorbet mimosa recommended by our waiter, and her baked French toast did not disappoint - bready, moist but not soggy, with a nice caramelly crust from the maple syrup. The tuna poke was fresh, and our friend was quite happy with his chopped salad, a signature dish.
Took my wife to the Gladly for Mother's Day brunch...had a great time. Food was exceptional, bloody Mary was awesome, and our server, Shea, was a pleasure. Will definitely be back.
Went to Gladly for Mother’s Day brunch. Our food was delicious, had crab cake Benedict type dish and a baked French toast that was like a bread pudding. We also ordered That One drink and it was super tasty! The best part of the experience was the service. Our server Zach was impeccable! He came by at all the right times and was always helpful. Best service I’ve had in a long time!
My wife and I visited The Gladly on Mother's Day. While our only children are four-legged felines, we use whatever opportunity we can to pamper ourselves and go to this place. The food is excellent, the service is outstanding, and Chef Bernie has been killing it for years. It is apparent that the thought and preparation to go into these dishes are well-planned and the execution has always been stellar. Treat yourself! Dr. B
Food was excellent and the drinks and service were fantastic. Will visit again when in Phoenix
We met friends here for dinner. Overall, we were underwhelmed. The tables were sticky (really?), the service was slow, and the food was mediocre. I ordered the Waygu hamburger, which was dry. My husband had the tacos and he said the meat was also dried out. I did have a good experience with the waiter and bartender helping me find an amaro that I liked.
A good selection of cocktails, especially bourbon. A creative menu, the roasted brussels sprouts were very good and so was the original chopped salad and the duck meatloaf. Excellent waiter and service.
Very nice. Sat outside where it was much quieter.
Waiter was great! Ambiance is not great. Noise level pretty bad. Salmon was very overcooked!
The food was excellent but what made the evening was the scotch whiskey with the ice ball! Our guest had never experienced it and enjoyed his Bourbon very much! Great presentation and fine service all around. Would recommend to anyone who loves Scotch, Rye, or Bourbon.
We had been to the Gladly a few years ago and found it lacking. Today, we agree this is going to be a go to place for us. We really enjoyed a five star experience. Easy res on open table. Greeted happily and seated quickly by the reception team. Wait staff (thanks Zack!) were simply terrific. They recommended excellent cocktails and were patient and explained things to us. It's loud in a good way in there and we are getting a bit hard of hearing which can be a challenge to staff trying to explain menu items and ingredients - but they did a great job with that. The food was in a word great. Salads crisp and fresh and of course the signature Chopped shouldn't be missed. The shrimp cocktail was four enormous shrimps and the cocktail/horseradish sauce was a zinger...delicious. Enjoy the seafood chowder - don't be fooled by the half filled crock...it was loaded with seafood and super flavorful. It was more than satisfying. The press coffee short rib is a must for meat eaters. We had the vegetarian dish and added steak tips as a protein...great tender steak with mouth watering grilled veges perfectly seasoned. Oh, skip the scallops. The parsnip mashed was good but the scallops just didn't make the grade compared to everything else. Still I couldn't take away a star because they were so well presented. So go for the Gladly...you'll be Glad you did!
Fantastic service, waiter Tim was very knowledgeable and personable. Food was incredible, we will definitely be coming back!
The best grilled Cheese Sandwich ever! The secret: Brisket! Just give it a try. Great service here to match the fun and imaginative menu.
Great food and service.
Well this time we were at The Gladly for Easter brunch, but there doesn’t need to be a special occasion to come here! We have never been disappointed! We love The Gladly!
Excellent food and service. Lovely atmosphere. Best mimosa in town!
Unfortunately we did not have a great experience dining here for Easter brunch. I let them know it was a special occasion for my fiancé’s birthday and there was no acknowledgement. Several items we ordered just never made it to the table. Although we were seated immediately, our food took over half an hour to arrive and when it did, one of the dishes came with the incorrect side dish. They did not bring out the correct side dish until he was completely done with the rest of his meal. Our waitress seemed out of it the entire time. She was very scattered, at one point running into the patio door, breaking glass directly next to our table and the baby’s seat. It was also very loud, which I guess can be expected for the brunch rush. Overall, the food was tasty despite the wait. The crab cakes and French toast were exceptional. The filet mignon was great, minus the missing side dish. The only issue was the biscuits and gravy, as the biscuit was very tough. I don’t think we would come back here unless they step up the service quite a bit.
My family and I went for Easter brunch.
I ordered the baked French toast and was pretty disappointed with it. It was good but very small and was more like bread pudding. It didn’t come with anything else, just a very small piece of something similar to bread pudding like I said.
I wish I had ordered the salad like the lady at the table by us.
It sure wasn’t worth the money we spent that day. My kids and husband ordered the biscuits and gravy that came with eggs. They all said it was pretty good.
Easter brunch was yummy.... look forward to next visit.
I love the brunch at the Glady and was happy they brought it back for Easter. I do wish they had appetizers or their regular lunch menu as options. It seemed as though they were more interested in flipping tables than having families enjoy a leisurely brunch. That being said, the food and service was excellent as alway
Excellent appetizers, seafood entrees and drinks. Dessert was a disappointment, which was the peanut butter chocolate cake. Cake sat in the refrigerator too long, as when the fork pierced the middle of the cake it was hard.
One of my favorites!
Always live The Gladly. Brown Butter Tuna is simply delicious. As is the Chopped Salad.
Interesting location but still able to sit outside and enjoy dinner. Food was delicious and fresh. So awesome that they give you the recipe for the chopped salad!
My husband and I came in to celebrate my birthday. Which I am so glad we did because it was such a treat. We mainly ordered from the raw bar the brown butter tuna is one of my favorites and the oysters are outstanding! Everything was delicious! We will definitely be back.
The Gladly was GREAT! We went during HH but really went for the Chopped Salad. We ordered the House Sav Blanc and the Meritage and ended up getting a bottle of the San Blanc because it was so tasty. The first course on the HH menu was the Liver Pate and it was Excellent. Next up the Sausage, Pretzel, and Cheese board and it did not disappoint. Finally we ordered the much awaited Chopped Salad and the Burger. Both were Great. Our server Emily was AWESOME. We will return as there were more menu items we want to try. They also have a FUN Cocktail list.
Great food! The best service!
Everything we got was delicious and the service was awesome!
Every once in a great while, you end up at a restaurant/whisky bar, that exceeds all expectations! This was that place. We wanted a quiet place with some interesting cuisine, and I picked the Gladly. After being seated our server Jarrett was welcoming and made several suggestions to my wife about the menu, and some mixed drinks. After the appetizers ( which were great) I asked about a mixed drink I have never heard of which was Coffee and Cigarettes . Best mixed drink I have ever had.( I normally drink single malt whisky and wine.) Duck meatloaf was fabulous and so were the crab cakes. No doubt the next time I am in the area we will dine here again.
I had the signature meal, chopped salad and sea scallops. Delightful!
We heard great things about the Gladly. We were disappointed. The food was good not exceptional to compensate for the poor service. I believe our server had to many tables. She took about 15 minutes or longer to even take our food order. Drinks were not refilled until we asked a buser to do. She was doing her best effort I blame the front house manager as it was a busy night. We ordered the short ribs which had good flavor. The scallops for the price was off. There was only two on the plate. I suspect there should have been three or four but she was not to be found to have her change. It is sad when the back of the house delivers their commitment to the client. Often the front of the house will drop the ball I can cook short ribs, scallops and tuna poke at home and saved over $100.
The server seemed to busy with many tables to really give any table to attention we needed. We had empty glasses of water and wine. We sat for over ten minutes with empty plates in front of us. Food was good. I got the New York Steak special and had to use my steak knife for every bit because it was so tough.
Might come back to grab a bit at the bar. Staff was friendly.
I love their chop salad. I tried something new, the ahi poke and am not a fan of the green sticky rice. Staff was very nice and attentive.
Go there for the original Chopped Salad that is always a winner. Very attentive wait staff.
Always great place to meet up with friends.
