   Everything was perfect. Birthday meal. Great cocktails. Lamb rump perfectly cooked. Dessert great, deconstructed apple tart. Staff were very efficient and not intrusive. Ambience elegant and relaxed. Love this restaurant.

   Whatever happened at the George grill?? It used to be fine dining at its best I ordered oysters, when I asked for shallot vinegar they didn’t do it! What??? It’s standard for oysters surely? The steak was tough and dumped on its own on a school dinner tiny plate Absolutely terrible It used to be so amazing there Young waiters did their best to lift our experience but it’s the kitchen that needs an overhaul

   A noisy Saturday evening of a weekend of beautiful weather in Rye. Efficient booking and service. The scallops and the Romney Marsh lamb were superb. The white chocolate dessert was slightly drowned out by lots of dark chocolate. Good wine. An excellent meal. Would have preferred less ambient noise but as noted above it was a busy Saturday evening.

   Comfortable restaurant. Small menu. Slightly overpriced (£60 for two of us to have 1 course and 1 drink). Food was tasty, however the steak frites I had was very small. Our waitress was excellent. Sadly the open kitchen had staff shouting and singing loudly for the whole time we were there. We didn't feel comfortable asking them to stop. So prepare yourself for that.

   Enjoyed a really lovely lunch at the George today. The food was delicious, and the service was excellent (thank you Miguel!). The whole place has a really nice vibe.

   Really good quality food. Roast beef was served perfectly pink. Delicious dessert - white chocolate mouse. Very efficient service too thank you.

   Ha eaten here many times....the service is always impeccable, and the Team are very friendly, and extremely professional..Tables very nicely spaced out, and nice " private booth areas if you so wish.    We were stuffed following previous nights visit to the Mermaid where dinner was a bit rich so decided to go for fish and chips. Both were the best we have tasted - fresh and not greasy. Service was excellent and the sweets were exceptional - we very nearly ordered second helpings. We will be going back soon

    Nice venue and well accommodated with the dog. Food was enjoyable and tasty. If I'm totally honest, I think it's a little overpriced, but that's probably the DFL clientele influence.
