Our table was ready right on time. The server was prompt to get all of our orders in. The wait time for the food was very reasonable and the server never let our glasses get empty. The live acoustic music was great too. A fantastic restaurant for many occasions.
We were there for Mothers Day and even though they were packed we were seated 15 minutes early (we arrived early). Service was great you knew they were busy but they never acted rushed. Waiter was exceptional and the food was served hot, correctly and very yummy. This is my favorite restaurant in Fort Wayne and always choose it above any other. The decor is always so comfortable and it is like dining in a lovely mansion. Thanks again to the Hall family!!
Decent food IMO. Good value. I would go back. My family members loved it.
Awesome food as always.
I love the ambiance of The Gas House, it’s very charming. We went on Prom weekend and even with large parties, it didn’t cause a disruption or delay in our food service. Everyone enjoyed their food. My only complaint was that my food was like warm at best. I had the prime rib and baked potato. My mother and father in law had the same thing. Even at less than desirable temps, the prime rib was still good. I will definitely go back on a future return trip to Fort Wayne.
Ambiance nice, staff great
This restaraunt was very disappointing. They overbooked themselves and were understaffed. Everything we ordered that was fried had to be sent back. It was soggy. I will say the gumbo was excellent as were the breadsticks. The desserts were delicious.
Me and my family went here for a graduation lunch and we all loved it. The food was really great. the Spinach Artichoke Dip was amazing. We would definitely go back again. The service was fantastic.
You can't go wrong at the Gas House, food and atmosphere are always great! I do however, wish they would incorporate more of the local craft beer choices into their selections.
Everyone was extremely nice and extremely accommodating! The food was excellent!!!!’ We will be back. We were there celebrating our son graduating with his masters degree! Glad we chose Gas House!
The steak was great, service was good and the place was really nice.
I met with some friends for a much needed girls night and order a Texas Mule and an asian sesame crusted tuna salad. Both were delicious. After dinner we walked across the parking lot to The Deck to check out the scene. I will definite be back either for dinner or a fun night outside in Ft. Wayne.
Over all dining experience was pleasant. We came on a Friday night. There was live music. Our table was very close to the music. When you have people that wear hearing aids it was way too loud. Next time will request to be seated away from the music.
The brisket sandwich and jambalaya were amazing!
Good prime rib!
A hidden gem in Ft. Wayne. I was pleasantly surprised (almost in shock) as to how good the food tasted. Seasoned well and cooked perfectly. , Crab Cakes. Jambalaya & Blackened Shrimp w/the mango salsa was AMAZING!! Can get a bit noise but overall experience was good..
Good food for the value, the area isn't the nicest outside, next to a train track and run down.
Always a good pick. Was able to get a last minute reservation on Saturday night. The menu has something for everyone. It continues to have great ambiance. Service was friendly.
Great place to meet for lunch and it doesn’t hurt that the food is very good.
Our server was excellent to wonderful care of us. Made sure we wanted for nothing
It was fine altho our table we requested which was a booth in the bar was occupied and after waiting a short time it did not appear the patrons were lvg so we were given the option of a table in bar. It worked out fine just wasnt what we requested. We will go back and use open table in the future.
Our waitress, Katie was amazing. The food was great. The stuffed chicken and prime rib are must trys. Definitely order the carrot dessert, it's worth it.
This place is one of Fort Wayne's absolute gems! The sweet potato souffle is to die for!!
Always fun to come to the gas house we come there for special occasions during lunchtime sometime we go sometimes we go upstairs to the Tochi Oka house
Our server, Grant, was very professional. He is polite and kind, knowledgeable of the menu and Easter specials. I had no more finished my salad than the entree was presented. I had a perfectly prepared filet medium rare & my husband the Beef Wellington. The sides were also good. We were so full we weren't ready for dessert, Grant had them packaged for us to take home. Overall it was a very efficient meal, time between courses. Continue reading to find out why.
I used Open Table to book the reservation for noon on Easter. Our Church Service typically ended at 11AM but we expected it to end about 11:30. The day after I scheduled I received a call from the Gas House stating that Open Table allowed the reservation from noon to 1PM. I was told Open Table messed up and our table was only available for that hour. She offered an earlier time but I said no, even though we attend a downtown church we didn't want to commit prior to noon; we had been out of town and didn't want to rush out and not be able to visit with friends. Sadly, that is exactly what we did.
Service was so efficient; the waiter was probably told to get that table serviced and empty by 1PM and is was.
Is this Open Table's fault? Halls sets the parameters in the software to allow when the tables can be re-scheduled; software doesn't allow for unmanned decisions. Why is this the customer's fault that only an hour had been allowed and why should I, the customer, be penalized? Why is the customer getting a call and told they is a time restriction on the table? The issue should have been resolved in house and the customer should not have been the wiser
Great food but the reservation situation left a bad taste in my mouth.
Great food great food great server! Good wine selection! If you want a great server at this place request to have Joy wait on you!
Our visit did not go well at all ! The waitress was not around to refill coffee or to see how our dinner was ! My hash browns were burnt black i couldn’t eat them ! When the waitress finally came to take my plate I told her I couldn’t eat the hash browns they were black she asked if I wanted a different side well everyone was done eating and ready to go !! We like the factory and triangle park but the gas house was a big disappointment ! Ruined our birthday evening!
Thank u for taking the time to read this

Have been to gas house many times over the past 10 years and ya e never been treated as poorly as tonight. Open Table clearly screwed up our reservation. I have email confirmation and confirmation on the app that our reservation was for 3 people at 6:30. We showed up at 6:20 and were told that we missed our reservation. I showed my proof but were continued to be treated as though we were lying. I should have trusted my first instincts and left.
Unfortunately, the quality of food continues to decline at Gas House. My adult son loves the quail but I continue to be disappointed with the food. Tonight the baby back ribs were flavorless. The quail was good but avoid any seafood and do not have the crab cakes unless you like lots of breading and no crab.
It will be a long time before I go back, which is a shame because I have enjoyed this place prior to the last few years.
We overall enjoyed our experience. Our entrees filet mignon and prime rib, were a little on the tough side.
Everyone else was very good. Appetizers were very good as well as the cocktails.
Took 20 mins to be seated even with reservation. Other than that, it was a great evening.
Standard up scale affaire. Beautiful building and everything is usually good. Very very rarely is there ever an issue. Very consistent
We had a wonderful experience, from the service to the food and drink! Would definitely come back again and again!
As always the Gas House is a nice place for friends to meet and engage in conversation with good drinks and dinner. Not to mention the service was great.
Everything was great. From hostess sitting us down to our waitress Ariana. Food , timing of appetizers to our salads to main course. Everything came out times just right.A special Thanks to our server Ariana she was excellent
My husband and I dined for a late Valentine’s lunch. Our waitress was so sweet and helpful. She suggested a drink for me that I loved. The food was fast and delicious. She thought she took too long with the check but we didn’t notice a delay at all, her service was excellent!
We have been going to the Gas House more frequently.
However, will pause for a while. Instead of being seating in the main room we were place in a less than desirerable off room.
The service was Poor. I had ordered the Special, surf and turf. It was to be $4.00 off the normal price. When my plate arrive the surf was not on the plate. It took nearly 8-10 minutes to arrive. Then when presented the bill I was charged for the steak and lobster separately and not with the special price of $4.00 off.
At that point I just wanted to leave, so I took the $4.00 out of the tip.
I like Open Table for convenience. But if I cannot sit in the main dining room or bar area I will have to call in from now on and request the area.
We made a reservation. We got right in when we arrived. Great service. Food was very good.
Food was great, baked potato was overcooked but besides that everything was very good.
Waitress was very busy but still tried to stay attentive to us. Great date night place if you aren't worried about spending to much money.
I was very pleased with the food preparation and quality. Service was very good as well. My only complaint is that they have changed their menu and it is not as diverse, which is why I had chose this resteraunt.
