Amazing view of Temple Square without having to pay $42 a person at the gourmet buffet, such a good deal. I got the house burger, which was $14 and incredible. The burger was cooked to perfection, juicy and yet cooked all the way through, a formidable challenge for any chef and hard to come by in the less than $15 range. Usually the fries that come with a burger at your average restaurant are an after thought, only redeemed through excessive salt and ketchup. The opposite was true with these fries. They were simply perfect, nice golden fry on the outside and mashed potato consistency on the inside. My wife's food was also fantastic, and the service was attentive, thoughtful, prompt, and yet not overbearing (I'm a server myself). Altogether a wonderful dining experience that was not break-your-wallet expensive and yet felt nice enough for any celebration.
It was great food with an affordable price. Our waitress Amanda was such a sweetheart!
We go often and always find it a great experience. This time was prior to attendance at a Utah Symphony performance. We thought as busy as they were we might be cutting it close but once we got seating and order taken things moved quickly. The meal was excellent and the scenery was great.
Spectacular views of Temple Square and the Salt Lake Valley! Food was delicious! Great place for a date, special occasion, or just a nice dinner.
Everything we had wanted ina date night dinner place!!
The food is very good! The view is amazing. I would recommend it to anyone.
The restaurant was empty, probably because it is cafeteria quality food at 5 star restaurant prices. Overpriced food that was not satisfactory. If you're going for the view, save yourself the money. Ride the elevator take the picture and go anywhere else. The food court across the street would have been better food for cheaper prices.
The food was good and the view was awesome. It was a bit loud inside but overall I was happy.
I enjoy an evening meal at this restaurant. I enjoy the beautiful views and the meal prices are reasonable for this fun experience. I always order the appetizer of Deep Fried Pickles as a starter appetizer. They are the best! It is so great that I can set a dining time up through OpenTable so that we are left standing in line waiting for a table.
We have the salmon. It was delicious. They put the maple sauce on the side for me which I greatly appreciated. I did not like the sauce so my dinner was exceptionally well done since the sauce was not on it
Great place for a lunch meeting. Both times I have been here received great customer service . Great food as well.
The thing with this restaurant is that it is a perfect mix of fine and casual dining. When you walk in, you are seated, and your drink order is immediately taken. I had a flavored lemonade, which was awesome. For the main course, I had the pasta and side salad, and the salad is very big. The sauce on the pasta was a little bland, but the chicken on it was good. As for the atmosphere, the restaurant has a beautiful view of temple square, and, Mormon or not, it makes for a great view. It is a good restaurant with an even better atmosphere.
our waiter brad was amazing!! he was so nice to all of us & always had a smile on his face
We had a wonderful dinner. The food was very good, our server was friendly and attentive. Our order was a bit slow coming, but the restaurant was very busy, including a large tour group, but our server kept us updated. We will definitely be back!!
Service was terrible, we sat for 25 minutes before our waitress greeted us. She then went to greet another very large party before she got our drinks and placed our order. Food tasted ok but it definitely was not worth what we paid.
We came here for our 10 year anniversary and it was so nice. The food was delicious and the view was amazing. We had a great time.
I had the chicken dish and it was tough and dry. The bread served before the meal was cold. The good part is the guest I was with had the steak and it was great (I had a bite).
It's just ok and it seems a bit over rated. More for the super Mormon that just wants to over look the temple while eating.
Spent $50 for the experience because the food value wasn't worth that money. Still really enjoyed date night there.
We enjoyed a beautiful view during dinner. The server was great and checked on our table often for refills, etc. The food was delicious and the portions were plentiful. This was a wonderful place to have dinner with friends during our first visit to Salt Lake City.
Beautiful view with delightful ambiance. The food was excellent.
Love to dine here. Superior, intimate service and top-of-the-town views make this location a hidden gem.
Under cooked chicken. They noticed it and gave us the meal for free! So positive and negative.
Great rooftop location, with wonderful views of Temple Square. Upscale casual atmosphere. Try the fried pickles appetizer!
Great food and view
okay food, okay service, overall, okay. Not amazing, not even special. Just okay. Exactly average for a utah restaurant.
Arrived following theater over holidays 12/30 to see Temple Sq lights. Requested window at time of reservation. Hostess was immediately available, she had our request, other table was available but a window table would be about 10 minutes. In less than 10 min were seated. Stunning view of the Square with Christmas lights. Limited menu options. Food was very good. Started with the Chicken Soup, well flavored broth with carrot bits and thick dumpling like noodles, served over mashed potatoes. Mixing it created a thicker broth. Dish would be amazing with a thicker pot pie like broth/gravy. Rolls were great for the broth. We then had the Club Sandwich. Thick carved turkey and ham, bacon, tomatoes, arugula, onion jam, herb aioli on ciabatta. Served with Great Battered Fries. WOW, this'll fill you up. Meats were like you'd make at home for the holidays. Read the menu before you go so you know what's available. Tables are small for more than 3 people, for 2 it's perfect. Service was very attentive. Overall excellent evening.
The view of Temple Square with the Christmas lights was amazing and the main reason we came to have dinner here. The food was good and we really enjoyed our evening.
We love the Garden Restaurant. The food is great and the view is exquisite. Highly recommended.
Our server was very good, the view is wonderful (especially if you sit by a window), and the rolls and lemon basil dressing are fabulous!
Our waitress was outstanding. The service was very good. Great experience. We wii be back. 👍👍
Food was not as good as anticipated. Very loud and challenging to hear. Pricing reasonable, but not a good value. View was wonderful. Waiter was great!
Those views 😍 And the food is amazing. I would HIGHLY recommend a grape Rickey to drink!
Brad, our waiter was nice, fast, and efficient. The food was amazing. The place is beautiful. It was our anniversary and because of that we were grateful that we were seated by the windows facing the temple. It was a great anniversary experience.
Only problem was not understanding menu presentation of the meal we ordered. We thought we were getting a sweet potato but received sweet potato shreds on top of meatloaf and mashed potatoes. The meal was very good and most adequate in portion.
Our waitress didn’t come back and check on us for about 40 minutes after we ordered. We were short on bread and she said they were making more but she never returned with any nor did she get us refills until I asked just before we left when she brought our bill. It was a slow night and the restaurant wS only half filled. She should have visited us at least 4-5 times making sure everything was ok
Great simple menu, but the food was fantastic! Service was great, beautiful view at Christmas.
We love getting to eat at the garden, we love the food, service and to sit by the window
Thank you for our experience
The view is amazing but that is the best part of the experience. The food is just ok and doesn't have much of a selection.
