Lots of available seating for a Friday night. There were only a few tables occupied. They sat everyone right next to each other, which is kind of annoying. They filled our water glasses immediately and kept them filled throughout our meal. They brought a basket of bread right away. They had three different breads, all were really yummy. I ordered the ricotta gnocchi. It was very good, maybe could have used a little more seasoning, but the portion size was SO SMALL. It's a good thing I filled up on bread. For a $20 plate of food, I think I should have received more. My husband ordered the ribeye and my sister ordered the salmon. Their portion was triple the size of my meal. They couldn't even finish their plates. Overall, the food was good and the service was good, but I'm not in a hurry to go back.

Excellent Sunday brunch with loads of wonderful breakfast and brunch options. We were celebrating my birthday and everything was great. A bit pricey as an every day restaurant but wonderful for special occasions!

The food was good but the service was terrible. I guess I would suggest to not sit outside. Although other tables seemed to get served. We had a different waiter and I think he came to the table 3 times in the almost 2 hours we were there. Two of those times he came because we asked another staff member to find him. Really disappointing service given the price.

Great food. Wish the restaurant had a dress code. Short short cutoff jeans not appropriate.

Was there for Sunday brunch . Nice little jazz trio added to the ambience, with an amazing food selection. Plan on allowing at least 90 minutes to enjoy the brunch. Staff were all engaged in making sure service was excellent.

I took my husband here for his graduation present. The food was amazing and staff were awesome. Our table was right in front of the live band playing and it was such a great atmosphere. This was our first time and it was great.

We liked especially the very attentive service and the great environment for the grand children. They loved it to select their own food and the big variety enticed them to try new food. The adults liked the food very much.

The Sunday Brunch at the Garden Cafe is ALWAYS delightful and never disappointing! The seafood bar is to die for, the main course(s) are better than delicious, the kids' station is delightful with many items to please the hard to please, and the desserts are delectable! Make sure you come hungry because there are many delicacies for everyone in your party. When the 3-man live band played, they added even more character to our afternoon. ( We took my Sister and Brother-In-Law when we went and they still talk about it to this day; they have never been treated to anything as elegant and ritzy as the Garden Cafe.) And if you ever go there after brunch, perhaps for a light evening fare, ask for a hamburger. They prepared us the most delicious hamburger and Pommes Frites we have EVER had! What an astounding venue; I can't say enough good things about our experiences!

We got there right as it opened, and nobody was in there. It was my anniversary, and my wife and I got to have a quiet, intimate dinner by ourselves. The service was amazing, and the food was the perfect amount. Get the creme brulee for dessert. Absolutely amazing.

The ease of making reservations was great. The servers were attentive and went above and beyond. My wife's ribeye was mostly fat and not very tasteful. My salmon was OK but nothing to write home about. It would have been at good value if we paid $50 for the both of us instead of $100. That is the reason I would not recommend the cafe to anyone.

If you are in Salt Lake and you need a Brunch this is your place! The food, service and the three piece band playing everything from Sinatra to the Beastie Boys makes this brunch and property something to experience.

We went for special occasion on Saturday night but we were really underwhelmed with the food. Although the meal had highlights, it wasn't worth the price. We also attended for Sunday Brunch and we were overwhelmed. It was definitely worth the price and the food was incredible. If you're watching your waistline, I do not recommend this as there are a million different options especially dessert. So go hungry as you'll want to try everything! Our service was incredible both times.

We enjoy the Garden Cafe. The meats on the buffet menu were a little disappointing this time, however. The pork seemed tough (perhaps overcooked). The beef had a bit of a strange taste. Our service was excellent and the desert table was lovely.

Was here for a conference, stopped in for dinner. Food was decent except apparently a new line cook or chef didn't know how to make the gnocchi, had to send it back as it was hard and inedible. They remade it for me and apologized but it took awhile.

We went for our anniversary and it was just fantastic. The atmosphere and food was great. While not cheap, it is a fair amount cheaper than I would expect for an in-hotel, higher end restaurant. We were very happy with the price.

The servers were very personable and fun. The only complaint I had was that the servers could be a bit slow. We had to wait too long four our check. I could see it being a choice. they give you space and only interrupt when it looks like you need something. Our drinks were always full.

The food was fantastic and the setting was perfect for Valentines. The service was mediocre. We didn't receive a bread basket. The service was slow. It was nice not to be rushed on this special occasion, but we waited too long for our entrees and our check.

Went there while staying at Little America across the street. Took the wife and our two kids (8 & 2 y.o.) to a dinner at the Garden Cafe. They were very inviting and helpful with our kids. Made the entire meal feel very special and warm. We enjoyed the entire experience and will be back again next time we are in town.

This was not our first visit to the Grand America, for this visit we brought with us out of town visitors. The food was excellent as well as the selections offered for a Sunday Brunch. The waiter however was lazy and brought the wrong ten dollar drink to our table but didn't seem to concerned about it. Not wanting to make a fuss my family member just accepted what he brought. For around 55 dollars per person to me this is unacceptable.

This is the Grand America, so you know everything will be perfect. We were there for brunch, so there was a small band(trio). It was good. There were the stations, not all omelet-type. We tried it all.

It was good but not the beat, I had the seafood mostly, some food were sitting there for a while and you can tell not fresh, and dry. Great value if you like buffets, a lot of food choices, and the omelet and crepe station were busy but great.

Way over priced and small portions. The waiter never asked if I liked my meal which I didn't. They didn't give me a chance to order something else. The soup was good, but the braised short rib Rago was not good

Always fabulous and enjoyable. This time we waited 40 mintues to be seated past our reservation time. This is the only time in 10 years this has happened so we will cut them some slack with the busy (and apparently overbooked) holidays! We love the Garden Cafe and it ranks as the best brunch in Utah for a reason... cheers!

This is a tradition for us each year. However, you have done away with your smoothie bar.. it made us sad. You removed it, made some type of mini pancakes, with Nutella. Many people are allergic to nuts, myself included. It appears as if you have adopted street food themes. You are a 5 star hotel.. not a street nor food truck vendor... also please have waiters assistants, always wear clean aprons, to include changing them several times during a shift if need be. Your coffee mugs and glass wear are looking very worn, along with your tables. They have seen a better day. Also, at the holiday time, place beautiful poinsettias around. Also, do away with the garden people blowing leaves around the dining areas, the last thing I want to see when I look out those beautiful windows, is a leaf blower, and or gardening going on. This is the 2nd time we have witnessed this. I want to look out, and enjoy the view. Please do your gardening when the cafe is closed.

Thank you,
