Great food, wonderful service and warm, knowledgeable, and caring staff.
Mother’s Day party of 8 and dinner took over one hour from order to food delivered to the table. Not the usual experience but a disappointment. Food is good, though. They were very busy... Did offer some free drinks to make things right.
It took our food a very long time to reach our table. We had two booths of family eating there. Our family at the table next to us got their food about 20 minutes before us. We were told that our food ticket got misplaced. Once it arrived it was very good but our other party had to wait for us to finish eating. In fact they ended up leaving before we were done with dessert. Our only complaint was the waiting. For a 4:00 reservation we didn’t get out of the restaurant till around 7:00. People were all friendly.
Great experience. Service was excellent and food was absolutely delicious. Such tender filet mignon.
Food and service are excellent. Highly recommended.
Excellent service and the food was perfect!
Excellent! Our server Patricia was amazing! The food was perfect and a beautiful ambiance.
This restaurant is located in the Old Town Temecula area which just adds to its uniqueness. The food is fantastic! For the quality, the price isn't bad. The decor inside is beautiful and intriguing. We have already recommended this place to family and friends. Totally worth it!
Food OK. However, the dining room was extremely noisy-other diners were so loud that it was very annoying. Service was not very good, either.
Anniversary dinner. Everything was fantastic! appetizer, salad, steak and dessert!!! Definitely will return
This is a beautiful place to eat! Located on the third floor, you take an elevator trip upstairs! The doors open and you walk into a beautiful area to the right is a bar area with live music left is the actual restaurant. The service was great the food was delicious.
We loved the place! It was a little loud. We made reservations but had to wait awhile for our table. Food was delicious!!! Would go back if we lived there!!!
I wanted to go here for a while to try it out, we met some friends there and had a good time..
Service very slow.
Good ambiance but Sunday night. Checked previous evening - no table available and very raucous (St Pat’s). Great menu, generous portions and the best hollandaise evs. Would return and recommend.
As always excellent service and the 3 day marinated ribeyes were outstanding!
Food was AMAZING!!!! Best Mac n Cheese EVER!!!! Corn was flavorful, steak was cooked perfect!!!! Our server was wonderful , super friendly and very attentive. Excellent service, Excellent food- we'll DEFINITELY be back!!!!
Admittedly, the steaks are tasty but overpriced. The ambience was not warm or comfortable - felt like we were eating a $200 meal on a wooden picnic table. Probably won’t eat there again. Our waitress was a veteran, especially with excuses of late food or forgotten sides
We went to celebrate a birthday. It was a busy Saturday night but we ended up sitting at a booth in the very corner and front of the restaurant, where there was tons of traffic from the kitchen and people being seated. People were constantly rushing by the table and we couldn’t see any of the restaurant, really - it kind of ruined the ambiance a little. Our waitress was very nice but it was obviously busy so it was a little slow to get our drinks, appetizers, etc.
The food, however, was delicious! Our cocktails were tasty and strong, the appetizers were hot, and our entrees were cooked to perfection. It was a very tasty meal, just our table placement left something to be desired on the ambiance. I would love to come back, just maybe be seated elsewhere
Our group was placed on the veranda, which was wonderful! Everyone enjoyed their meals and all the staff were wonderful.
The food was fantastic. I had the beef dip sandwich with garlic fries. The cucumber martini on the other hand was horrible but they took it back at no charge.
Great selection of entrees and appetizers, requested a table over looking Front Street. Was well accommodated, worth the price. Prime rib was an exstestive choice with all the trimmings.
What a great restaurant! I went with six friends for a birthday brunch and couldn't have been more pleased. Our waitress (her name escapes me) was literally the best waitress ever and the food was top notch! We all loved the place - the food, the ambiance, the staff, the noise level, the cool saloon bar - all of it. I will definitely go back. Thanks for making my birthday special Gambling Cowboy!
First time and heard a lot of good reviews. Not your go to place for a special occasion. Getting past the saloon/roadhouse motif, the food was served cold, late and very over priced. Will not be back.
Food was good but slow getting to the table and pricey for what you get. Service was average but all in all I had my experience and can honestly say I'm not eating there again nor recommending it.
Didn’t bother to read my comments on Zooey Tanle when I made reservations
The food was excellent. I had the lobster bisque soup and the fillet mignon. My wife had the bacon spare ribs. My wife said they were the best spare ribs she ever had.
A good steakhouse in Old Town Temecula. Service was slow, but the restaurant was full on a Thursday night. Very popular with tourists who want to experience a bit of the “old west”. Large menu with choices that will appeal to all. The baked potato was $4.00 & with generous sides, could easily feed 2 people. Our favorite part of the meal was the appetizer: phyllo wrapped Brie cheese bundles sitting on a raspberry chipotle sauce. Enormous slice of chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream was too dry. So enjoy the fun ambience & know that the portions are easily shared.
Went back for valentines day. Was disappointed that we where sat outside as this was not on our reservation I made 2 weeks prior and they said they sold out inside. Would liked to know that and would have gone somewhere else as it was very cold outside.
Great food, great drinks, service was subpar.
My compliments to the chef.
We were warmly received, our waitress was great. There was a draft, we were seated near a door that went outside which was in heavy use.
Food was delicious, well presented.
New resident of the area wanted to try out local fare the “cowboy” was recommended by a friend.
Great food, good bar selection and great service we will recommend to our friends. A must if you’re in “Old Town “.
Can’t wait to try the breakfast menu.
Food was good, expensive but for a special occasion it was nice. Parking was a pain unless you valet.
Tables are a very tight fit. Service was ok. Thought it odd I was offered Cupcake wine rather than Robert Hall or better to go with Rib Eye. Once we received the wine list, we went with a bottle of Red from Robert Hall. The heavily season Rib eye was full of grizzle, a first for me in a chop house and at that cost. Chop house with no lamb on the menu??? and lacking Pork chops??? Wasn't the worst, but certainly wasn't worth the $$. Wouldn't go back.
How can you not like this place? Great food, atmosphere is great!
We had a lovely evening at the Cowboy. We were pleasantly surprised that our drinks were reasonably-priced, generous servings. We first sat at the bar. What a contrast to other Old Town bars with their uncomfortable bar stools and drafty rooms! The Cowboy has cushy bar stools with high backs We lingered in the bar area and enjoyed the ambiance. Then our waiter Ariel escorted us to our table in the dining room. He is a fabulous waiter who provided impeccable service. Our ribeye and swordfish dinners were perfect. We look forward to returning in a couple of weeks, when we will
stay later for the entertainment .
