The Front Yard
Really enjoyed our time with family. I can’t wait to come back
You only go here for the ambiance. The food is ok, service was fine but not great, but the setting is nice with both indoor and outdoor seating. I wish they would improve the food.
Food was good, service was pretty bad. We had to flag down our server multiple times and he didn’t tell us about the validated parking which ended up costing my cousin almost $30 on top of a pricey bill.
We had an early reservation which should have gotten us better service. Our appetizers and meal were served in a relatively (but not perfect) timely manner but we waited over 30 minutes for 3 simple desserts and finally, when we just said to cancel the order, the manager came over and offered to comp the desserts which still took another 5 minutes to get to us. It was a birthday celebration so it would have been nice not to end on such a sour note when everyone at the table was ready to leave.
The staff is incredible here and the food is delicious! Such a beautiful setting as well. Love this place!
We had a reservation for the patio at 7:45. When we arrived we were told that the patio was full and that there would be a half-hour wait or we could sit inside. I take issue with restaurants where you make a reservation well in advance and then they do not accommodate you.
Our hamburger (which we shared) was delicious as were the french fries. The strawberry salad was small for a $15.00 appetiser salad. Also the pepperoni flatbread was pretty tasteless. I won't be going back since there are plenty of better restaurants in the Valley.
Was extremely loud inside without any music playing. Very strange atmosphere.
The drinks were good not great, the food very good, the front of house staff were fake friendly, our waiter was was mediocre and condescending.
The Front Yard is a beautiful restaurant. The outside patio is gorgeous! There is valet parking as well as self parking. The only thing I would really like to see is more vegetarian options on the menu. Maybe a nice Beyond Meat burger added to the menu for those of us who want more than a salad at lunch. I am definitely going back! The service was great (DJ!!!) and the food was good. For a family gathering or for a girlfriend get together for a night out. Highly recommend!!!!
Ambiance was perfect for a summer night, service was consistent and food was served quickly. Definitely worth coming!
Overall, the menu is interesting and reasonably priced. My issue came with modifications of items. I absolutely hate chefs that won't allow changes. I was just asking for a different side item other than what the meal came with. The side I wanted was broccoli which was listed as a side on another dish, but the manager said NO. The chef would not make any substitutions. I might understand if it it was an integral part of the dish but its just a side dish. It was just another difficult chef. If I was at a 5-star restaurant I would expect push back, but The Front Yard is a super casual experience at a mid-level hotel.
The service was excellent and the food was tasty and fresh.
One of my fav places! Perfect for meetings or friend gatherings.
My husband and I were so excited to visit The Front Yard! I wanted to love this adorable restaurant so much, but just cannot overlook their lack of attention to guest safety.
First, I attempted to order their Strawberry Salad with no tomato (severe allergy) as my meal as I intended to share my husbands Meat & Cheese Board. The server was noticeably displeased and said "No, it is a really small salad, like really small". I told her that would be fine (we had also ordered biscuits) and she reluctantly took my order. About 10 minutes later, as i was exiting the restroom , she stopped me to let me know she left a menu on the table as it was not possible to leave the tomato out of the salad. ?????? Quite unexpected for someplace that presents as thought food is fresh, it never occurred to me that the salads may be pre-made. When the server came to the table about 3 minutes later, visibly irritated, to ask if I had found something else, I again explained I had some severe food allergies and asked if the plantains could be left off the chicken dish, to which she replied they could. The chicken came, I saw no plantains & began to eat. I then remembered that the menu indicated it came with sweet potato puree, which I didn't see so I lifted the chicken with my fork and what did I find??? PLANTAINS! I am so fortunate to have only taken 2 bites as had I eaten the chicken that had contact with those plantains I would have had a severe reaction that leads to loss of ability to breathe. Needless to say, we called her over, she apologized and brought another chicken dish that I was very reluctant to eat. I never saw a manager and she then offered us a free dessert. Food allergies are serious and should be taken seriously.
On a separate note, they add a 15% gratuity on every check, regardless of party size. Mandatory gratuities for large parties are understandable but party of 2?
For lack of attention to guest safety alone, we will not be returning.
Nice place, good food, took too long to place order and get food.
Hate automatic service charges in place of paying a proper wage! For this reason I won't go back. Other than that the place looks great, service very good, food is just ok for the price. Doesn't look boring like a typical hotel restaurant.
Hi there, the service charge is in addition to their living wage that we pay, one of the highest in the nation. The service charge is paid out in it's entirety to the foh service team; the server keep the majority while the rest is paid out to the food runners, bussers, hosts and bartenders. We include the service charge of 15% so guests don't feel obligated to tip the customary 18 to 20 percent knowing that the team is taken care of, in large part, by their wages.
not impressed, pretty pricey for what is offered. That they automatically add the tip is a huge turn off and I will not patronize that establishment again. How dare they !
Server was very attentive and caring. Knowledgable about the menu and made our choices, easy decisions. Noise level was loud for a hotel crowd. Due mostly to a party of 6 that were having a good time.
Wine was acidic, ordered by the glass. Should have ordered a bottle. At $25/glass they should not serve wine that’s been open for a while. They claimed it was opened that day, if so, the lot is passed its prime in the bottle.
Hamburger was over cooked. Ordered medium, cane well done.
Pork bolognese was watery
The food was cold at the buffet, not much to choose, I asked our waiter to please order me the eggs well done since the ones at the buffet were not well done, he say he was going to check with management, he came back saying that they can not do it, because we probably were going to order more, we do like the eggs well done, finally after complaining he agree to only make me my order like that, my other two parties had to eat what they had, that is terrible customer service, since he did check with management, I did go there because it was refer to the place, from someone at the management of the Hotel.
The food, service, and everything in between was fantastic. I will definitely be back!
I was unaware when I booked reservation that on weekend only Brunch was available. It worked out but was disappointed to not have some of the other items available.
It was nice to have a menu that wasn’t basic. It added flavor to my gathering. Beautiful place. Would definitely recommend.
Great date place
Really great food and lots of options for anyone. The only downside to my experience this visit was the service was not great. It seemed the restaurant was short staffed and therefore it took a while for things to come out and the server disappeared for long stretches at a time. Our server was very nice, just a bit overwhelmed.
Perfect spot for a date nite
Perfect evening under the stars on a hot summer night with good food and good friends...and right in the neighborhood!
Nice place for Sunday brunch. We took full advantage of the endless mimosas and endless Rose. Make sure you have a reservation (I don't know why people don't make reservations at places that take reservations!) as I overheard the hostess saying the wait was over an hour.
Really amazing food, and great ambience! The wine list was excellent but it was the service that really stood out. Our waitress was just amazing! And we had a fabulous date night! Will definitely be back
Yes, good menu, service and food/beverages if you don't mind the noise level.
No longer a well kept secret, The Front Yard has some of the best food and is one of the neat dining out experiences in the Valley.
And warn them that there might be kids and might not be a romantic place to take a date
Wonderful place for brunch with friends
The Front Yard is a great place to have a Sunday brunch. My friends and I did the buffet and it was delicious and high quality. The kitchen was even able to make a plate of eggs without butter to accommodate my lactose intolerant friend. Our server Marina was very prompt in fulfilling our requests. Overall, I would recommend this restaurant and will definitely be coming back.
What a hidden gem! So happy to have rediscovered this place. We went for a family brunch to celebrate my husbands birthday. We sat on the patio and had such a lovely time. Food was very good. Chicken and biscuits were fabulous. Chop shop salad was fresh and delicious. My son had the Breakfast Royale Burger and said it was excellent. The server(s) were attentive and friendly. Food came out in a timely manner. Can't wait to go back again.
Food was cold and inedible. We arrived at 10:00 expecting the brunch menu and instead got a hotel breakfast menu. No offer or suggestion to come back in an hour, even after we raved about that menu. Food was cold. English muffin was dry and tasted like cardboard. McDonald’s would have been better. Gratuity was already factored in so we never saw our waitress. When she came to drop the check and my entire plate of food and cappuccino was still full, she looked at it all and said everything was good? Ummm. No. That’s why the plate and cappuccino are full.
Lugar muy agradable para desayunar
We usually order at least one fish dish and they are always great. Flat Breads and also a favorite.
I wish the receptionist was a bit more truthful about the wait and not just always dodge questions. We had a reservation and had to wait 50 minutes before we got finally seated. I had to check in with her 3x and her auto response was "we dropped off the checks already, and some people are leaving, your table will be ready in just a moment." What's the point of making a reservation then?
Our server, however, was nice. He made sure we felt accomodated and provided the best service. He answered all our questions with much patience respect. Food was great, also.
