Great place for any meal! Lovely outdoor patio with fireplace and comfy couches, open dining room with fresh air. Servers are friendly and knowledgable. Food is really good, though a bit pricey depending on what you order.
Such a nice place, food was amazing and the ambience is perfect.
All the staff were terrific. Lot's of fun. Very nice vibe.
Great time with a date. Would highly recommend!!
The restaurant is very nice.
We loved the amazing patio ( feels like holidays ) and the confortable couches.
The food was good and the server Carlos was absolutely incredible!!!
We had a great experience !
Thank you ;-)
Beautiful space, excellent service, the food was good, not great. I would definitely come back often for the beautiful space and ambiance.
We made a reservation for 8:15 and called ahead to request outdoor seating since we had a dog with us. The woman we spoke to on the phone was rude but informed us we could bring the dog and she'd put it in the notes . When we got there we waited 15 minutes an then someone came to bring us to our table which happened to be indoors. I told her we had requested outdoors and she said "Oh well do you want to wait longer because that's all we have." I said we have a dog so we needed to. We ended up waiting almost an hour for our table before we sat down. Our waitress wasn't very nice or polite. One party member bit into a piece of plastic in his appetizer which they didn't end up charging us for. Most the other food was good. When the waitress asked how everything was another party member said her steak was a little well done, and the waitress said, well you said medium! She said she'd asked for medium rare.. the waitress asked if she wanted them to make her another one and she said no she didn't want to wait. Definitely disappointed in this experience! I'm sure not everyone's experience would be this bad though. It's a cute restaurant.
Food was great. The fried chicken was crispy and not greasy, biscuits delicious. Love the brussel sprouts, flatbread and you can't go wrong with any of their appetizers. Server was very nice & friendly but he wasn't around when needed. I've been here many times before & seems like they get overwhelmed easily but the servers are all very nice.
We sat at a picnic table which is spacious, but there's no backs on the benches, which after a while made it uncomfortable. Server was attentive. The French fries were incredible and the fried chicken was a favorite. The ahi appetizer had a strange sauce on it, the kale ceaser was great!
I took a friend for her birthday and requested a patio table. I had to change the reservation due to illness several times, but The Front Yard accommodated me. She had the Tagliatelle and it was fabulous, as was my cocktail. I would have liked more sauce with my short ribs, but it was
But the truly stellar things about our experience were: 1) The Ambiance. It is one of the loveliest outdoor dining experiences in LA, and I think my favourite in the SF Valley. And the service was
impeccable. Our waiter was attentive, let us visit, and made our evening special. And there is 3 hour validated self parking.
Our server tried hard to be attentive but had too many tables. Same experience on a previous visit. Management needs to add more servers on the patio.
Friendly greeters and wait staff, pleasant ambiance and good food. A lovely place to meet friends or business connections.
Cocktails and tapas were on point. No need to go there for main courses unless you’re looking for hotel food.
6 people in our group. We all enjoyed the food, service and cocktails. Outstanding. Going back soon.
Service vey very slow. Waitress barely attended to use. Restaurant too busy and very hot eating inside. People fanning themselves. If I were to go back I would only sit outside.
I made reservation for 4 for the patio on Open Table and also called to confirm that we could get the patio seating. When we arrived on time, we were told that there would be a considerable wait for patio seating so we took a table in the bar. If they can't reserve patio seating they should be upfront about this instead of taking the reservation and not reserving a patio table.
If not for the above, I would have giving a higher rating.
Not sure if our server had a hearing problem or what. She talked over our orders and didn’t give us the check when we asked for it. Instead she waited 20 minutes and then told us her shift was ending and would transfer the bill to new server if we wanted. Weird. Love the place otherwise. We watched the Belmont Stakes and had brunch.
Could be improved by better customer service. It's a pretty place with good food, but a little frustrating.
Our server was very helpful, food was delicious! Cool atmosphere w/out being overly trendy.
Not necessarily good for a business meal if you need more quiet. Beautiful space though. Well designed with indoors meets out: Reminiscent of some Hawaii restaurants in the middle of NoHo.
Hosted a business meeting with a colleague here. We had lunch so the place was not super crowded but it had enough people to get a feel for it. It was Cozy. It has both inside and outside seating. The staff were attentive. Overall a great lunch location. Menu was short and to the point. Good food.
Very bad service but great ambiance.
Love this place and here quite frequently.
Watch out for Greg the host ... rude rude rude!!! Once you get passed him; service, food, ambiance is amazing.
Jonathan the Manager is outstanding, looks after every client with great care and attention.
Reservation was at 8:30 PM; soon after checking in we were seated right away by the host at one of the shorter tables. My friend was uncomfortable with the table due to having back surgery. I informed the host and hostess that we would like a regular table. The hostess responded, stating that I should have put a note in the reservation, but I was unaware the restaurant had short tables. I told the hostess if I would’ve known I would’ve requested a regular table and now that my friend is uncomfortable we would want a regular table. The host told me we would have to give up the table and wait at the bar until a table became available. According to the host the wait time was unknown. I stated the bar is crowded, there are no seats available and I had made a reservation, so I informed him that we were to keep our seats for convenience while we wait. He then said to sure make I close out my tab with the waitress. I spoke with the waitress to close out our tab so we can move to the next table. She said that she can transfer the drinks to the next table and not to worry. We waited over an hour and the waitress had not returned, plus the host who was literally 15 feet away facing our table’s direction never approached us to transfer our table. For this hour we had only ordered one drink each. Luckily we were in good company. At 9:40pm we were hungry and I asked a random waitress for a manager. Quickly thereafter a manager came over and I told him our experience. He apologized and said he knew nothing of this issue, and he would get us a table right away. He got us a table inside by the windows facing the patio and introduced us to the new waitress. By then we ordered our food. The food arrived very quickly; it was rushed because the Brussels were underdone, Shishito peppers were not charred, same for the grilled octopus, and the salad was not well dressed. The dessert was great. The bill was $230. No service recovery, no discount, no follow up. Will never return, ever. :(
Very good food, service, and pretty surroundings. EXTREMELY LOUD at our indoor, corner booth. Very hard to converse. Quieter at outdoor tables.
First time there, such a cute hidden gem. Will be back soon!
Truly a great neighborhood restaurant!
I love this place! Make sure to make a reservation for a lovely table outside or the seating lounge area where they can open up to the outside. It's beautiful, cozy & comfortable, with great food and drinks! Highly recommend!
This is my 3rd time dining here and it's always fun and relaxing.
Five years ago my husband and I got married at the Garland hotel and we thought it would be fun to celebrate our anniversary there. It was a little disappointing. The hosts were not friendly and dismissive and it was hard to get the bartender’s attention. Once seated (table by the window) I couldn’t help but notice that the menu is sort of all over the place. I’m not sure what kind of cuisine I would say this restaurant offers. It’s not really tapas or American in my opinion. So we ordered the charred octopus and although I love lemon- this was just too sour to enjoy. Decided to also share the fried chicken and it was also just ok. Maybe a little overdone. We decided to go elsewhere for dessert.
We went for a late Mother’s Day. Buffet was simple and good. Great ambiance.
$19 breakfast buffet (bacon, chicken sausage, oatmeal etc) and they automatically add 12% for front end servers to the check. Food was average, nothing to rave about. Ambience was fabulous, nice interior and just okay service. Not too excited to return
Wonderful service , food and experience. Decor is very nice, everyone was very attentive and pleasant.
All the food was bland and under seasoned. The fired chicken was over cooked - almost burnt, and the grit cakes appetizer was completely tasteless. Nice atmosphere, but the food was not
good at all.
It was perfect! Belated Mother’s Day dinner and I couldn’t have asked for it to go any better
Amazing place, it is a MUST GO . The patio area is incredible
Lovely outdoor dining experience. Menu looked delicious but the food did not live up to the description for many of the dishes. Very heavy with the salt. The Shishito Peppers were the one stand out. We were also surprised to be charged a 12% service charge for "back of the house" and were told that any tip on top if that goes to the server. That was new to us.
I am a big fan of the restaurant and the ambiance. I am a regular customer and this is one of my top destinations in LA for business dining.
I had heard a lot of good things about The Front Yard and went breakfast. Overall, it was disappointing. Service was slow, coffee wasn't hot and the food was okay but nothing special. Ambiance was very nice though. If you go for breakfast, probably best to get the buffet. We ordered off the menu and it took forever. And I don't know what happened to our waitress, seemed like she'd show up and then disappear for 15 minutes. Overall a so so experience. I'd like to try it again, I'd like to think it'll be better next time.
