I had a great time and was very happy with the food and service. The only thing is when I first made the reservation they asked what was the special occasion but the day we ate there nothing was done as if they did not know it was my birthday. But other than that everything was perfect

The Front Yard is in the Garland Hotel. Lovely place, but way too loud for comfortable conversation. A reviewer recommended the patio, and that's probably why, but it was a chilly night, so we were inside. Food was delicious, and the server was outstanding. Wish I could remember or find her name to include. I'll try the place again when I can sit in the patio.

This place is becoming one of my favs. Love coming here. The food is consistently good and is the service. I usually sit outside, but since it was chilly, we sat a a corner booth in the bar. It was cozy and not too noisy. Ordered the carmelized brussel sprouts which was awesome. Can't wait to go back again.

This was my second time dining at The Front Yard but the first time for brunch. The patio was busy but they got our four top seated quickly. Food was excellent. The TFY Benny and homemade pop tarts are not to be missed. Love that we could bring our dog too! Will definitely be back. Perfect place to bring out of town guests!

A great little spot. The food was delicious and the staff was kind and accommodating. One of my favorite patios that I have ever dined in. We went for brunch but I would be perfectly happy to (and certainly will) return for lunch or dinner. This place is a hidden gem.

Looking for a special New Years Eve dinner so gave The Front Yard a try. When we received our bill, we were surprised and found it totally inappropriate to be charged an automatic 18% service charge on a dinner for two!

This little gem is nestled right in the San Fernando Valley not far from Universal Studios. The appetizers were amazing with a nice variety of food choices. Their menu is unique with some tasty options like chorizo deviled eggs (which were delicious). Best of all was the ambiance. It has cozy seating for 2 and nice options for smaller groups as well. I will definitely be going back.

We enjoyed two delicious lunches at the Front Yard. Our service was excellent and helpful. The wine was great. The garden setting in the heart of the city was a welcome respite from the hustle and bustle on the streets. (If you want to sit in the garden area on a weekend, be sure to use Open Table for a reservation in advance!)

Wonderful service, festive atmosphere, tasty food, & terrific craft cocktails! I've come to the Front Yard with my mom & boyfriend for either special occasions or just a regular happy hour, & they never disappoint. Lovely place & atmosphere!

I think the decor is great. The buffet was nothing special. The salmon I had was raw in the middle. Our table wasn’t clean. It might as well have been a cafeteria, there are no table linens. We couldn’t believe it was $55 per person, $284 for the 4 of us to have an under cooked meal at a dirty table. I think it’s very expensive for disappointingly below average food. On the surface it looks as though it will be really good but it just isn’t.

Came here for the Christmas Day brunch. The ambiance and decor were lovely. I really dig the outdoor seating area with fire pit. Our server (a lady from New Zealand) was top notch.
The drinks were decent, but a bit too pricey. The buffet itself has plenty of choices, but of the meat entrees, the salmon was undercooked or soggy. The beef a little too rare and the turkey was dry. The stuffing was dreadful and the mashed potatoes tasted very bland. The desserts were very good. But overall, even considering that it was holiday pricing the price per person for the food did not match in overall quality after the hype.
But with a few drinks, some lovely company and the atmosphere overall, I enjoyed the visit and will probably return.

Front desk wasn't very receptive or warm when greeting us. We enjoyed our brunch/food very much. The pop tarts are delicious. Server never came around to refill my glass unless I asked. The manager was nicer. Ambiance and food will have me back to give it another try.

We eat here regular as we live in the neighborhood. It was nice to have some new choices on the menu. The Tuna and Artic Char were great and we like the new take on the octopus. Thank you.

Ambiance is trendy. Personnel are friendly, if not overly so. Food is Ho Hum. Prices are higher than one would expect, and they add a 12% tip to every bill and then suggest an additional tip all under the guise of paying a fair wage to their employees. I wold prefer to have that privilege (paying a fair wage via my tip), based upon merit, not coercion.... We won't be back anytime soon.

Went here with my bff for appetizers, wine and a good martini. The Front Yard did not disappoint! Really great set up - indoor / outdoor dining areas with plenty of heaters(outdoors) and great seating areas that made you feel cozy and private. We had great service from our waiter Travis. He had great wine suggestions and really knew his wine list. We had the big eye tuna tartare, the chorizo deviled eggs, roasted octopus, bone marrow and a cheese and charcuterie. Everything was excellent with the exception of the cheese and charcuterie- felt it was a bit pricey for what was delivered. But everything else was wonderful! Highly recommend!!

I would have given 5 stars if not for the hostess basically saying we couldn't get a booth because walk in people were waiting for them (even though we had a reservation). So we sat at a table kind of in the middle of everything. The first one has AC blowing right on it, so we moved one over. Other than that, the food was delicious and the server was great.

We made reservations for a Bday brunch and there were 11 of us. We had such a wonderful time and I'm glad that we were seated in a private room so we could talk loud and laugh. Our server Alan took such great care of us and I would highly recommend this place and gladly come again!

Four of us came for Sunday brunch. None of us were thrilled about the menu selection. Service was okay, but the waiter was a bit ditzy. My husband ordered Huevos Rancheros and asked if he could have his eggs scrambled instead of sunny side up. The waiter told us he was new and he had to check with the kitchen. Told us they were very strict about special requests and he wasn't sure if they could scramble them. We all looked at each other wondering "seriously?" He finally came back and said no problem...like he was doing us a favor. Just strange. The TFY benny with the braised short rib was not great. Way too much meat compared to egg and bland. Avocado toast was just okay and the measly fried egg on top was rubbery. $5 bloody marys were a great price, but you got what you paid for...not good. All four of us agreed we were underwhelmed by the food and service. Maybe we just had a bad table on a bad day, but will probably not return.

Disappointed with Thanksgiving this year. This was not as good as it use to be. Stuffing was so watery. Ham and Fish were very spicy. Not sure why??? Poor food compared to before. Why would you have ice cream set up for Thanksgiving, didn't make sense. The Mother's Day and Easter set up was way better. Prior Thanksgivings were great but this year was quite disappointing. I will think twice about going back.
