The Front Yard Ratings and Reviews
We were so pleasantly surprised by this local find. It's down the street from where we live and this is going to be our new go-to. The food was excellent, the ambiance was romantic, but not overly intimate. We were on a date, but there were groups of every type around us, including families with children. But it's incredibly spacious, so you don't feel overwhelmed. The food was excellent and definitely recommend the strawberry shortcake for dessert. Will be back.
beautiful patio setting--Food was good, not great, but good. I had the short rib tacos, a little too msuhy and my friend had the Thai salad which looked short on noodles, but lots of shrimp.
The fig and gruyere flat bread was tasty although short on cheese.
The burgers looked very good.
I had high hopes for this place. It seemed excellent and the patio was super cute, we should have requested to sit outside.
It was my birthday so my husband and I wanted a nice meal. The cocktails were creative and we really enjoyed them, unfortunately they showed up after our appetizer was almost gone. The appetizer was excellent though - the chorizo flatbread was a winner! Then we wanted to get a bottle of wine with our entree but after our meal was delivered we finally heard that the bottle we ordered was sold out. Once we finally got the glasses we ordered as a replacement, we started our meal and found that the ravioli we were served was not fully cooked (more than al dente and extremely cold/frozen in the center). The server took the entree off our bill but the whole experience really put a damper on our nice birthday meal. I’m not sure we would return.
Took team there for lunch. Food was great. Both vegetarian and burger dishes looked and tasted fantastic. Ambiance had a great vibe without being too noisy. The weather was nice so they had the partition between patio and inside seating open which allowed for a nice slight breeze and the sun come indoors. We will definitely go back there again.
Food was delicious. From the starter (tuna tartare) to the vegetable lasagna and the burger. Also, dessert was AMAZING. We got the peach and blueberry crumbler and it did not disappoint. This place had a nice, casual, cute vibe to it and we’ll definitely be coming back for another date night.
The drinks, ambiance, and service I gave more stars since it was the highlight. We sat outside and truly appreciate the host staff for finding us a great table.
The food.... not so amazing. We ordered several things recommended : chop shop salad, mushroom flatbread, and a short rib dish. It was all ok. Nothing too bad or too good. Just ok. It may be that is brunch menu. Maybe other menu times may be better.
I’ve been here numerous times before but this around we brought our Dad for his birthday. He had such a great time! Our family is very close and most of the time he prefers to celebrate his birthdays at home. He enjoyed his food and most importantly the coffee! He really enjoyed he casual yet fun vibe of the place! Our waitress (forgot her name!) was an absolute delight. Thank you to your team!
Stayed at hotel - took 45 mins to get a drink-food came before my drink even did - was not impressed with outside dining - should have sat inside - I think it was just the table they sat us at that sucked-bloody mary was gross - sent it back (no wonder they were $5)-didn't get a pop tart (ran out -only reason I wanted to cone here)-mediocre overpriced food-not worth a special trip-edible food but nothing to write home about or noteworthy.
Part of the reason we stayed at the Garland hotel, was due to the "farm to table" restaurant located in the hotel. Our servers and wait staff were phenomenal. We would go back simply for that. Attentive, friendly, hospitable, and just all around good people. The food was touted as "farm to table," BUT when we get frozen processed fries, kind of kills that appeal. Deviled eggs and brussels were mediocre, the mushroom flatbread and flat iron steak were amazing!!! Some of the ingredients you can tell were local and great, but you can tell not all ingredients were. Will definitely go back, but my farm to table expectations will be tempered
I have been here for dinner and was quite disappointed with the portion size. I could not seem to find anything on the menu that reminded me of the pictures of food that I had seen on the website. I would up spending far too much for way to little, and did not like the fact that my discretionary "Tip" was now not only mandated (12%) but also taxed. I noticed that there was a set up for a buffet, and when I found that it was for breakfast daily, I decided to give that a try, since the ambiance was wonderful and the service was excellent. Saturday morning breakfast was a completely different experience. The food was delicious and the choices were plentiful. I will definitely go back for future breakfasts/brunches, and have already recommended this place to several friends.
I've become so jaded about eating out: always the same tapas or gastropub menu we see everywhere these days, and the attitude of the servers and staff. But wow was I surprised by the Front Yard. After getting there I saw the valet and thought, crap, this will be one of those places where I have to pay an arm and leg just to park. Nope! They validate. Then they stuck us in a corner and I was thinking they'll give us attitude to move. Nope! They moved us outside with a smile. Then I was cold outside and thought, ugh, they'll be so rude. Nope! They lit the overhead heater and brought me a blanket. A frickin' blanket! And then I was thinking the cocktail would be overly sweet. I ordered the cucumber and gin drink to have a clean taste: it was amazeballs. The tartar was incredible (served with too few plantains though; we had to ask for three extra sides of them). The shishito peppers were a bit too hot for my guest, but I loved them. Could have used a bit more charring to give them flavor. The flatbread came out so fast that I'm pretty sure the kitchen is just pumping out food that's not even ordered yet. And it didn't have my special request. But when I sent it back, they brought a great one out that we loved. I remain frankly surprised out great this place was. I plan on being back many more times. Everything was delicious and the staff was really aiming to please with a smile.
We had such a wonderful experience at The Front Yard. We were staying at the hotel, The Garland, and ate at The Front Yard twice during our stay. Brunch was by far our favorite meal at The Front Yard, but the Bar bites were definitely a close second. You just can’t beat a good mimosa! The ambiance is gorgeous whether you’re sitting inside or out. Great staff, very friendly and accommodating, they did a great job of giving us our time to enjoy a leisurely meal, while simultaneously making sure we were taken care of!
