We stayed at The Garland and dined at The Front Yard twice. Both times the food was great and service was impeccable. I would recommend it to anyone looking for both an excellent meal, great service and wonderful ambiance.
Wonderful place for a group get-together. Only issue was that we were celebrating the birthday of a vegan and there were very few options for him. We booked the lunch based on the online menu and didn't realize it was brunch only during the weekend. The service was outstanding and the rest of the food was good.
Such a cute place! Service was great and ambiance is fantastic!
Great service. Good Food and Drinks.
Creative menu and delicious food! Love their patio!
It's always amazing being here. Great food, great service.
Always the best food & vibe.
Very good brunch with excellent cocktail cocktails. -1 star for the kitchen refusing to sub the impossible burger in the patty melt when it’s was an option for the burger
The food, the service, the coziness of this place is great!
I think the front yard was so cute! The staff was so nice, but I was unaware they only served brunch on weekends which was the reason why I came to this location - maybe put it on the Yelp or website it’s only served on weekends. But the food was delicious, and the area was such a cute place to have a nice brunch at.
There is no restaurant like The Front Yard that we’ve found in LA! Though we went there very frequently in the past, we hadn’t been back since a memorable Thanksgiving meal in 2019. It was everything we remembered: comfortable, friendly and delicious! Can’t wait to go back.
Enjoyed the Thanksgiving prefix menu although the pumpkin pie was probably the least desired of the desserts, the overall experience was wonderful! Love the Front Yard, a hidden gem in the San Fernando Valley!
Back to the Front Yard after the pandemic last year.....food very good, but if you know how many reservations you have, how do you run out of a featured menu item (the squash soup)? Also we had 7:15 reservations, but weren't seated until 7:45 and the service was so slow (not the server's fault) that we didn't finish until 9:45! I would say that the management was at fault here......And to top that off, by the time the main course was served it was luke-warm at best as if it had been sitting for a while....Hopefully these problems can be corrected
We came to The Front Yard for a Thanksgiving prix fixe menu with a 7 p.m. reservation. We got sat at 7:40 inside though we had selected outdoor dining. After that wait, we continued to wait for our server and for each course of our food. Our server, Ashley, didn't seem very happy to serve us, as she took her time before greeting us, was always short each time she stopped by the table, making us feel we had to flag her down to ask for anything. Our drinks took 20 mins to arrive to the table, just before our dinner entrees, so we couldn't properly enjoy them. The cherry on the top was when she reminded us when she dropped the bill that gratuity was included. Almost like she knew she didn't give us quality service. The ambiance was mid-century modern, pretty cool. Food was definitely quality, but why on earth would a kitchen become that backed up on prix fixe menu? All in all, I would go back maybe on a Tuesday when they're dead and can handle a reservation. But I truly feel like it wasn't worth the price tag.
I understand it was Thanksgiving Dinner but at some points we waited over 30 minutes to receive our food. We spent a total of 3 hours there.. probably half of that time was just waiting.
Went for the Thanksgiving $75 prix fix… the staff and their patience was probably the most impressive part of the menu. Tabitha the bartender and our waitress Taylor were top notch. The food was good, didn’t love the lentil that came with the fish they didn’t have much flavor - but everything else was cooked really well. Our table was ok - not in the outside area in the front but on the side which isn’t as cozy but was fine.
Thanksgiving was absolutely amazing!!!!!
Thanksgiving meal was great-first time here and everything was wonderful!
Food and service mediocre. Beef was raw in middle. Turkey was tough and flavorless. Food came late to table. Wine glass covered in water spots. A total waste of money for a holiday meal.
Front Yard is consistently good. I have been there several times. Thanksgiving meal didn't quite live up to the price paid. Had to wait 30 minutes for first appetizer. Appetizers were very good. Biscuits were great. I live for my Thanksgiving turkey and stuffing however, turkey was dry. A fourth of the turkey was too dry to eat. Stuffing was fair. Mash potatoes were very good. Desert was very good. Air conditioner came on and froze us out. They got it adjusted in about 15 minutes.
We enjoyed our non-traditional Thanksgiving dinner at The Front Yard, including the service, food, and atmosphere. We appreciated the special touches, especially caddies for our masks.
My husband and I had a Thanksgiving lunch and it was perfect! The atmosphere was pleasant and food was delicious! Our server Sherry ( sorry if I misspelled) was kind, and helpful. Definitely we will come again to "The Front Yard".
We took our of town friends there fir their first time & we all loved it.
First time and was an amazing experience. Great customer service and food delicious.
We were celebrating two birthdays. I enjoy the Front Yard. Everything about it is above average and often quite good. It’s not outstanding but I wasn’t looking for that. The wait staff is terrific, and was the check in. Food is quite good. Errors were minor and quickly addressed. All in all, lovely.
The TV shining bright our table really did not serve the otherwise wonderful ambiance of the restaurant.
I came to the Front Yard for my boyfriend’s birthday. We arrived Tuesday at 11:45AM and made it for lunch. The mushroom flatbread was amazing along with worth the mushroom pasta. The bee yourself mock drink was refreshing and enjoyed the ambiance. We’ll definitely come back.
Everything we ordered was so good! And the service was excellent. Very happy with our first experience here. Will be coming back for sure.
The Front Yard doesn't disappoint! Always a great experience!
Our table was ready when we arrived and we were seated right away.
Drinks were terrific, including two of the signature cocktails (maple in the rye and strawberry fields) and wines by the glass. The cheese biscuits were delicious and the shishito peppers were fantastic, too!
While we could have made a meal of sharable plates, we chose the tagliatelle bolognese, the ahi tuna, and the butternut squash farro - and all were wonderful! We didn't plan on dessert, but we weren't able to resist - and chose the chocolate creme brulee and the cheesecake bar. A real treat!
Service was friendly, professional - first-rate.
Go and enjoy!
Great service, great food, and validated parking!
Great place for lunch with friends. Good service and good value.
The restaurant and its ambiance are charming, BUT the service and food were terrible. The service was not even worth the 1 star… we waited a half hour until I was able to flag a waitperson to our table to take a drink order. She returned with iced tea and took our order. After she served our food, we never saw her again until she was delivering the checks to several tables. Our water and iced tea were never refilled, no one checked on how we were doing or if we needed anything. When she dropped the check on the table, she never asked if we wanted anything else. The stuffed French Toast was not cooked through and was inedible, but it was impossible to get anyone’s attention. It was a very disappointing
In pictures it looks better and fancier. Just a regular breakfast spot, I would compare it to Coco’s. Food was ok. Drinks were good. Service was great. Not super impressed, but I guess my overall experience matched the bill. I paid $33 for my dish, tea, mimosa.
Great place with great ambiance. Food was delicious and staff was friendly.
Our go to…always good. Best to book a reservation in the weekends.
