One of the people at our table asked for a fried egg on their chicken dish. But the server said it's not possible. The kitchen won't do it.
We asked for something chocolate for dessert. Only offered 2 items: a chocolate chip cookie or butterscotch pudding.
Off limitations for a big restaurant.
The food is super tasty. The ambience and outdoor seating is top notch. The property at the Garland Hotel is beautiful. Just don’t ask Chef Greenwood to split a salad onto two share plates.
Elitism at its finest by a Chef who from his servers own description is a little on the “difficult side.” After ordering five to six appetizers, two bottles of wine and our entrees we asked for a kale and Caesar salad, since two of our guests wanted to split the order. This was not about saving money. It was about allowing enough room to eat an amazing meal.
Blasphemy, blasphemy said the elite Chef from Alberta, Canada! The superb salad arrived on one plate with an explanation by the server that Chef WOULD NOT make any exceptions.
This same Chef wouldn’t know good fried chicken if it didn't resemble ginger beef from Canada. Soggy, limp and without flavor is what we were served. We grew up back east along the Mason Dixon Line, less than 150 miles from the Deep South. Come on Chef, if you are going to play the part of a Super Chef, learn to make some crispy chicken in LA.
Plus, manage your kitchen so all of the entrees come out at the same time and your Manager doesn’t have to comp your mediocre French toast carrot cake to make us somehow feel better. Again, soggy , soggy and soggy. Give this guy a new deep fryer.
I had a friend visiting from New York and I wanted him to have nice dining experience. The Front Yard did not disappoint! We were there on Easter Sunday. We had a reservation and only had to wait about 15 minutes to be seated. The hostess was very welcoming and that hospitality extended to the bar and to our table. The service was wonderful all away around. The Easter Brunch was scrumptious! So many different dishes to appeal to differ tastes. And reasonably priced. The ambience was lovely. We sat on the patio as it was a pretty day but the indoor seating seemed nice as well. Though, the noise level was increased indoors but not in a negative way. People just talking and laughing, having a good time.
I will definitely be back.
Amazing day! Excellent service, no wait time and food and wait staff, exceptional!!! Will be back soon...
congrats on Customer Service (5 stars) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The breakfast buffet was taken out without giving new customers warning or last call. However, the waitress more than made up for it!
A cute location with decent food but would have been nice if our waitress Ever came back to see if we needed coffee and drink refills or anything else we needed. It’s also super loud and made me want to leave. Finally had to find someone to get our check to pay and leave. Won’t be back.
Would have rated five stars had the manager handled our request for a replacement steak (cooked properly but served cold) in professional manner. Our server was excellent; food pleasingly good.
Our table wasn't the best, but the food was great. We were seated right at the entrance and bits from the tree above us kept falling into our drinks and food.
Food was good. Service was good. Noise level was insane. You had to yell to have a conversation. Very unpleasant.
Beautiful restaurant and great service !
Great place to go for a business lunch. Quick and easy and funny enough, there's so many familiar 'working actor' faces! :-) I loved our server too!
Definitely just loved the whole vibe of the place. Was my first time but I would most definitely go back.
The Front Yard is one of my go-to places when meeting friends or business associates whether for lunch, dinner or happy hour. It never disappoints. Service is always friendly and responsive, food is great with excellent choices.
Great place to meet friends for Sunday Brunch! Outside seating is awesome!
I do recommend this restaurant. It's clean, good food, great service and nice atmosphere.
I love the food and bottomless mimosas 🍾🥂as well as the location.
I set up a reservation for my wife's birthday, with teenage kids for dinner, arrived had to wait as was busy, I was asked if I preferred in or out ,replied prefer out if possible but if nothing then in. At time of seating there was a 4 top available in garden area and 4 girls all blitzed out with no reservation were sat and we were given inside. Server was excellent food ok, but nothing passed on for Birthday, little pretentious at host stand and food not worth the price. Ok for 1 time experience would not go again.
Fantastic outdoor seating. We stayed and enjoyed ourselves for four hours comfortably.
It’s an alright place, food was good and drinks were great but the only “BS” was I made Reservation, thinking it would be crowded because it was Saturday night. Reservation was for 615 and it up showing up at 5:30 and the place was empty. Check in thinking that we could get in earlier since it was empty but they still made us wait till 615, when people who are just walking up with no reservations were getting sat down. Other than that it was a cool Places to eat
I had dinner there twice while staying at the Garland. Both nights the service and food were great. I was with my kids and they had an enjoyable time and enjoyed the food as well. I’d definitely go back.
Love this place! Food. Service. Patio. All so pleasant.
I really didn't expect to find such a nice place to brunch in the valley. Food was good and nicely varied.
Parking via Valet was great.
Front of house staff was great, though servers seemed a bit overworked.
Only one problem, wanted a dish modified and they said no. I can imagine that if it were a $250 Chef's tasting menu....but even then they care enough to be a chef rather than a cook.
It took about 20 minutes before they realized we haven't been waited on, but no one is perfect so we shrugged it off. They were apologetic and gave us free dessert. The food is nothing short of fantastic, and the prices are reasonable.
Had a great dinner and loved the vibe.
Loved this restaurant experience. Great outdoor seating, very fun setting. Food and drinks were great. We will be back!
Fave place to go to now! Food and everything was great. I took some friends for their first time and they loved it too
Food was kinda bland for me but overall, everything was good
Outstanding service, food and ambiance.
We were vacationing in the Hollywood area and ate at the restaurant based on its location and a quick view of its menu. We were extremely impressed with the quality and presentation of the food. A little loud but great atmosphere
We had a reservation at 8 o’clock and we were there i saw a table that available but for some we had to wait 25 min
so why you aspect reservation. we should just wake in like all people
Included gratuity was odd, but I understand some people don’t tip and this makes up for it. Personally I would tip 20%, but because 15% was added on I didn’t.
Delicious! I brought my GF here and we enjoyed a nice romantic dinner. Would come back again. I really came here for the ambience. As we were on the patio, next to a warm heat lamp and ambient strung lights. It was very nice. We enjoyed our outing, would definitely come back.
Probably the best hotel restaurant I've ever been in. The staff was pretty new, but extremely friendly. The patio was beautiful as well as comfy, lots of different kinds of seating options so it didn't feel like it was a cookie-cutter design. Plants everywhere made you forget the nearby freeway. The perfect place for a date, or to meet friends. The food was phenomenal. My sister said the scallops were the best she's had in her entire life.
This restaurant has delicious fresh, creative California style food, plenty of choices for meat lovers as well as vegetarians / seafood lovers, and a relaxing, warm environment. The patio is beautiful. Great drinks and wine as well.
Quiet, great service, clever cocktails, food served quickly, proud, and hot.
We really enjoyed The Front Yard. The hostess greeted my daughter with an enthusiastic HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! when we checked in for our reservation. The food was really great although my filet was a bit over the temp requested. The strawberry shortcake was delish and on the house for her birthday. We really enjoyed our patio dining experience (especially the gas heating lamps and blanket).
Food is fantastic. Everything we ordered was delicious and our service was excellent. Will definitely recommend.
We asked for a patio table, there were many, but the hostess said they couldn’t seat people there. Placed us at a booth inside instead.
Great location, service was friendly and attentive, food was excellent.
