   I was pleasantly surprised by The Front Yard. I am used to hotel restaurants being a bit quiet with simple food choices. I liked the layout and decor of the restaurant. I was surprised at how busy it did get during lunch. Food options were good and the chef clearly cares about the experience that each guest has. Service was a touch slow, but I recognize that the place was quite busy. I look forward to going back on a warmer day to enjoy the lovely outdoor dining.

   Server was great. Polite. Food was yummy I cleaned my plate. Nice calm environment. We stayed a long time catching up and no one rushed us. Can’t wait to go back

   As we were staying at The Garland Hotel, we decided to lunch at The Front Yard. Best decision! Wild mushroom tagliatelle was done perfectly. No need for any deviation like extra cheese. Hubby ordered the Impossible Burger which was honestly quite the best in the area. Fries crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. Had 2 decent coffee as well. The lunch hour was full house. Come here n try their food. Thumbs up 👍👍👍

   It was nice I guess. I have a history with that location, Howard Johnson, BEverly Garlands whatever. So, that was kind of a turn off. Parking???? Cost me $18. Come on! That's absolutely ridiculous. The volume of the crowd was too much for my taste. I wanted a nice conversation, and it was frustrating. The food was good, but the other things turned me off to returning there.

   The hamburger and service was great. Your fries need improvement. They tasted like they were made from instant mashed potatoes. A steak-styled fry would have made my meal perfect.

   I have come to this restaurant for 8 years or more and have always enjoyed the ambience. This time, the food was mediocre and parking was such a hassle that I don't really want to return to this restaurant. I had the fish tacos, which were very spicy. My friend had the kale ceasar salad with salmon which was just okay. I had to park in the very back behind the hotel and walk through the maze of walkways to find the restaurant. It just wasn't a wonderful lunch experience.

    It's a beautiful place and the food and wine are good. I just thought it was annoying that they would not seat me until both my friend and I were present, despite my offering to order wine and an appetizer while I waited for her to arrive. Over half the tables were empty so it's not like it would have caused a hardship to allow me to have a seat. I was on time to the reservation and she was 5 minutes "late" which was certainly not unreasonable. Then after we were eventually sat, we were rushed along and told to order our appetizers and food at the same time. Absolutely not. My friend and I wanted to celebrate over a normal length of time. Again, it's not like the place was packed and even if it was, what's the point of ordering an appetizer if you'll be enjoying it while watching your food get cold? Bizarre.

    Very large outdoor patio with great fireplace and heaters so great location for our early evening diner. Based on menu decided to go with appetizers, some of which were very good and others just ok, and flatbread, which was "flat" in lacking taste. We arrived 15 mins early for our reservation and hostess would not allow us to sit at a table, even though the entire patio was virtually empty.

    we stumbled upon this place. my friend was in town and met 1/2 way. outdoor seating was great! the food was very very tasty. chicken sandwich with fries and portobello sandwich! both excellent, great flavor! cucumber adult beverage was delicious and refreshing!!! dessert: beignets were great! perfect two bite size! service was slow as like everyone they are understaffed but it didn’t matter to us as we just kept chatting! server was delightful! parking easy. self in back and they validate!

    We were pleased with the buffet Thanksgiving dinner. It was nice that the dessert portions were small so one could sample a variety. We were seated at a low table next to the bar. That was odd and not very comfortable. Next time add regular sized tables and chairs and skip the low tables. Thank you.

    This is my very favorite go-to restaurant in the neighborhood. They are always great and I always feel comfortable inviting friends to join me. Thanksgiving’s delicious buffet dinner did not disappoint!

    $75/per person for a super subpar buffet style meal with not that many options, as well as a terribly dry dessert bar. And they charge 18% gratuity automatically, which is a little understandable for a sit down menu where the servers are bringing our food to the table, but pretty ridiculous for a buffet style.

    Beautiful setting, warm fall decor, hot food was hot, ice creme served in chilled bowls (which surprisingly not all restaurants do) but selection was too limited. There need to be a few brunch items and more main dishes. Buffet was sides-heavy and entrees-light. Will return but hoping for greater variety.

    Great family dinner by the fire place outside. The waiters kept forgetting our request for several different items. We had to ask over and over and eventually got most of what we desired.

    Love this place! We almost always get our favorite table and the servers, hosts and other staff are fantastic, friendly and professional. We usually go there for lunch and the Thai Salmon Salad, the Steak Salad, the Pastrami Sandwich (with their killer french fries), and flatbreads are delicious. The cappuccino ice cream is deathly good and so rich we have to share it. Inside seating is loud, outside is calmer if the weather permits.

    This is my 3rd time visiting The Front Yard, and it gets better and better each time I go. I love that this place stands out from the usual Mexican or Korean options that you typically find in LA, the menu at this place has a little bit of everything. I’ve tried their 8 oz steak fillet, valley fried chicken & rare ahi tuna fish options and I honestly cannot choose which is my favorite because they are all seasoned really well and they all look completely different. They also have tons of vegan options for veggie people too. Overall, I have never had a bad time and I usually try to come back here every other month and I bring a friend. Definitely will be back soon!
