The restaurant was not well organized and staff didn't seem to communicate with each other. Our waiter was very friendly, but he was the only part of the experience I can speak kindly too. Bland food, overpriced, and tiny booths.
Overall, very poor experience. Made a reservation and they said they don't honor reservations, so was lucky to get one of the last tables to watch the game. Service was pretty bad, had to ask for a food order 3 times over 2 hours and be yelled at by the waitress that the kitchen was busy, turns out she never ordered the food. After waiting 2 hours, we were still charged for it. They were not equipped to handle a busy football night.
Our Thursday to-go restaurant for lunch - great staff - good food - just a fun experience - will continue to make it one of our weekly lunches
Enjoyed the spirit and the service, great placed to watch some college football Saturday's
Had dinner here before catching a movie. We sat outside on a beautiful summer night. The only issue was the French fries that came with both of our orders - they were inedible because of way too much salt!! Our server took care of it immediately, bringing a fresh plate of unsalted fries. Also, halfway into our dinner the piped in music was turned up very loud making conversation difficult. Again our server was very helpful when asked if the music could be turned down. We will definitely return but will ask for unsalted fries next time! Our dinners (a turkey burger and a crab cake sandwich) were delicious!
Wings under-cooked and cheese burger tasted like an elementary school burger.
French fires were cold. Wine not served in a wine glass.
It was ok except for the guy at the omelet station was making our omelets and oil got on my mom and he did not apologized.
Food was not good at all. Not worth the money. Service was very poor.
The price on the website did not match the charge when we arrived. Online brunch was listed at 18.99 per person, but was 27.99 per person since it was Mother's Day. Same food just $9 more. A good brunch for original price, not special price.
Service was awful. Only serving the brunch buffet, not regular menu, but our waiter did not refill drink or clear plates. It took us 10 minutes for him to come by and get check. Other waiters appeared to be more attentive.
First time at Front Page, my group found the overall atmosphere in the Dining area to be best described as DRAB. The food was just ok, and the best I can say is the service was decent. I will never return to this establishment.
We arrived at the restaurant shortly after it opened. We ordered the loaded tater totes and it wasn't until 20 min later when our server told us that they were out of it. How can they be out of an appetizer when they just opened? It would have been nice if they told us that. I ordered the New England Clam chowder soup. It did not taste like a New England Clam chowder soup. The seasoning was off and the potatoes were cut too large.
Food was mediocre. Cost was high. No real atmosphere. Never go back.
Easter Sunday brunch. Wow. Great food. Actually to much food. It all looked good but I could not sample it all. Maybe next time
The menu on open table and the menu at the restaurant are totally different. This place is not gluten free friendly and when I asked if they had a gluten free bun, I was laughed at by the server. I asked for no bun, and it came with a bun, talk about cross contamination! They did have gluten free beer, though. The menu is overdone with fried foods and has very few options for those with any restrictions. My boyfriend has none of these and he even rated the food as just okay. I like the outdoor seating and their drink list is okay.
We sat at the bar for drinks and appetizers. Food was tasty and satisfying; service outstanding
Very average food, slow service, yet rather high prices, which do not appear to be substantiated
they had no record of our reservation. Food OK, service slow.
Went out to lunch with a colleague who was leaving the team. The menu options are good for lunch. The table was roomy. The food is good, basic American fare. The bar looked inviting, but we were there in the middle of the day and did try it out.
In an area with countless options, Front Page is to be used when you can't get a table anywhere else.
Food was average at best, service was slow (our order taker came back to the table 10 minutes after taking our order and asked "what did you order again?") and prices are not super pricey but certainly not a bargain.
Lasting impression was how run down and dark the place was. Really not much of an ambiance.
Doubt I'd return again, unless again, I am in need of a table at Noon at the last minute.
Front Page at Ballston has outstanding seafood and an outstanding staff!
Always a great lunch - the Front Page has the best crab cakes in the whole area - also other great seafood selections - always great to go and chat with our staff friends
They were understaffed but that can happen on a holiday. Otherwise we had a terrific time
Standard fare served in a comfortable and friendly atmosphere. A step or two up from a sports bar. Our server was extremely friendly. Food was good and the price was right. I would definitely go again and would recommend Front Page for a casual (and business casual) lunch.
Good location for lunch in the Arlington area. Menu offers a variety of food. Service could have been a bit better, never offered additional ice tea or water during our 1.5 hour luncheon.
Excellent food and service I dine here often. They have a great brunch.
Had to ask for service multiple times including asking for water. They screwed up the check five times- had to get manager involved. Not impressed considering it was relatively empty.
crowded as expected. one waiter expected to handle multiple tables that sat an average of 10 people. Food choices limited for vegetarians or vegans. overall the restaurant was more than adequate.
We were there for brunch. The restaurant seemed rundown since the last time we were there a few years ago. There was no one at the door to greet us, plates and food were not replenished promptly, and the servicer was not attentive. A lot of money for food that tasted like they bought it at Costco and warned up.
The buffet brunch was very good. They may have been short staffed on our visit so after some confusion the bartender stepped up to be our server.
My fiancee and I went to Front Page for brunch this past weekend, and it was underwhelming. The food was fine, and the buffet looked pretty good, but I was disappointed with the service. There was no hostess to greet us when we entered the restaurant, and there was a group of people also waiting for the hostess. When we were finally seated, our waitress rushed us into ordering. Front Page would do well to hire some more seasoned restaurant professionals.
We enjoyed our booth for a business lunch and were able to engage in conversation with no worry of being overheard. Our server offered excellent service and delivered our food quickly. The menu offered a variety and included daily specials. This is a great restaurant for the area and could see as a at place to grab a meal and watch a sporting event on the TV's.
My family had Easter Day Brunch at Front Page in Arlington, Virginia. We had a late reservation but the food was good. Some things were not replenished as we waited in line but they had a little later with the exception of the fruit and desserts. The replenished bacon was not fully cooked so no one ate it. The mimosas were very good, next time I will try a Bellini. Overall we had a wonderful time, attentive waiters, maitre'd was nice and professional, just great people. I will return again and again for sure. They were all very attentive and kind to my elderly mother, which we really appreciated.
Brunch on Easter Sunday was affordable and had plenty of options to suit our family. We were seated promptly and brought drinks quickly after being seated. The buffet was a good variety of foods and was kept well-stocked. Good solid choice for the price.
We had to wait for quite some time for our table even though we had a reservation. The food was good but the buffet is not refilled frequently enough. The servers are very friendly and helpful!
They did not manage the buffet well at all. More often than not had to wait on food. Waited 45 minutes for turkey!!
This is a great neighborhood pub with surprisingly good food. The staff are friendly and helpful.
The Thanksgiving buffet was wonderful. All of my favorites. The turkey itself was exceedingly moist and tender. My only disappointment came from the dinner rolls. They were cold and hard. Nana would not approve.
Excellent steak, service just OK, as waiter was new. This is a local Washington Capital's sports bar. I'd go back when in the area.
Been here for brunch with a large group several times. We always make reservations ahead of time and a large table is always ready in the back of the restaurant somewhat secluded. The brunch buffet is delicious but could have more options. Our server was extremely helpful, attentive and friendly in the beginning. After our large group had 'brunched' for about an hour and a half he became much less attentive and helpful. Manager stopped by the table several times as well. Price isn't bad for brunch in that area, and mimosas are $1!
