About The Frog and Turtle
What is a gastro pub?” Gastronomy is the study of preparing and consuming food. A pub is a neighborhood spot for affordable food and good times. When you combine the two you get a neighborhood spot with a focus on food prepared from scratch with fresh ingredients.

The Frog and Turtle Ratings and Reviews
Just different enough for a special occasion. A good mixture of European and American food preparation for those that do not have a sometimes adventurous style of the European fare. Very relaxing atmosphere. The ham was prepared grilled with just enough sweetness from the raisen sauce.
Revamp! You were so successful!
Lower your drink prices, update your menu
Stop with the music! Your space is too small and the folks that afford to visit don't want to scream at each other when trying to have a meal! That does not make me buy more drinks!
It makes me not go to F&T and tell all my friends not to.
The food was amazing and the doughnuts were decident! But the cleanliness was lacking. The resturaunt had a slight funky smell when we entered, the paper napkins stuck to the table, and the container for the coffee was filthy and quite gross. Looking past what seems to be the cause of a lazy service staff, what came from the kitchen was really spectacular!
This was our second time dining at the Frog and Turtle. Again the service was excellent and the food very good. My only complaint was that although I ordered my steak medium-rare, which in my opinion means a pink center, the steak was over-cooked with more like medium to well-done. Also, for the cut, I think the steak entree was ~$4.00 over priced. However, we will return, with some subtle suggestions to the server.
I didn't know there was going to be live music. That's my bad. But it was SO LOUD in there. I was at a business meeting and we couldn't hear each other.
Then we were told by the band to be quiet so some guy could play the bongos. Um no not okay it was a Thursday.
We also didn't like that we couldn't put an appetizer order in while we conducted some business. We had to order the entire meal.
We had another great experience with you folks. Although I must say this.
The staff lost our meal order ticket in the hustle & bustle of Sunday Brunch. That's fine ...that can certainly happen. I've been a waiter before, I get it.
However, we sat for 3/4 's of an hour with no one checking the timing of our meals coming out. So when they finally realized what was happening, they apologized and took another 20 minutes to cook your special home made donuts and the 4 specials we ordered
They comped us the donuts and eaked out the ingredients for the pork hash special.
We saw a lot of people ordering the hash special and getting served well before the staff realized the mistake. Still love the place and will come again. Thank you
Forgot our salad and apps. All of sudden dinner was served. We love the food and atmosphere for an easy night out. The service has been lacking the last few times we have been there. They did offer a comped dessert and when we said no, took a round of drinks off. I would prefer my whole meal rather than a round of drinks.
Cocktails are always great and food is delish.
Food was delicious. We were a party of four and everyone enjoyed their meal; two of us had the nightly specials and two of us had items of the menu. The cocktails were delicious as well. The only drawback was the live music. It was very loud and no conversation could be had once it began. If you're going specifically for live music, it would be a great choice - music was excellent! If you're going to catch-up with friends, avoid live music nights.
Nice and quiet! A rare occasion which was really nice for catching up with friends. Was really disappointed in the stuffed jalapeño poppers - really flavorless and lack luster. The poutine on the other hand is what dreams are made out of. Amazing. My new go-to app for munching on over drinks.
Hands down one of my favorite places to go. It's great for just drinks, or apps & drinks, or a full on dinner. Food is always wonderful, they have great drinks, a wide selection of beer/wine/liquor (you can do a flight of bourbon or beer!!), and the service is always excellent. They also have really great live music a few nights a week. Checkout their website for specifics but I've never been to a bad night of music.
Met friends for dinner; good food, excellent service. Our server was personable and friendly. Although the restaurant was incredibly busy, the staff helped one another out by checking to see if we needed drinks, etc. The meals were all delicious and the young band performing was fun to watch/listen to.
My wife and I went for dinner for our anniversary. Not only was the food and service great, but the staff thew in a few surprises too. We we treated to some Champagne on the house. My wife was tickled when we ordered her favorite desert, chocolate tear drop of happiness, and it came with an anniversary greeting and a card signed by the staff. We have visited here a few times over the years but by far this was the best visit so far. Thank you to James and all his staff!
Despite a reservation, we got there and no table because everyone at the tables decided to stick around for the weird magician act, which, had we considered waiting, was the straw that broken the camel's back. Not the kind of noise I want in an evening dining experience. The food looked good, though!
Had a wonderful time. This was the second time I have come for the magicians show. Considering the house was packed, our waitress did a good job and our food was served in a timely manner. The bread served first was delicious and helped calm our appetites while waiting for the meal.
The food was good but not much of it for the price. With higher pricing, expectations on service also increase. Our waitress was just okay. Slow greeting us, delay in getting our drinks, and had to be reminded to bring one of our drinks. Probably would not recommend because of higher prices and value of what you get.
We enjoyed our dinner and the music was great fun, although a bit loud for the space. The fried mushrooms were terrific as was the flatbread. The mussels were too spicy to enjoy them. The wait for bar service was long. Overall we had a great time and I highly recommend the Frog and Turtle.
I had asked for a relatively quiet table and I was happy with what we got. The food was very good, especially the soft-shell crab. By the time we were ready to leave (we ate early), it was getting busier and, of course, nosier. But we had a very nice dinner and visit with our friends. We will go back for similar occasions.
Date night with my partner often takes us to Frog & Turtle. Tonight we were greeted warmly and enthusiastically by two of our favorite servers, (Emily and Lucia) and handed off to an adept server new to us, also Emily. The meal was delicious as is so often the case. The mussels never disappoint and the homemade pasta, cooked perfectly al dente, was wonderful. Tonight we concluded with dessert-not typical of us-decadent cheesecake. And if the staff and food weren't delightful enough, we had our first experience of the Pete Witham ensemble who play regularly at F&T. I immediately came home and entered their performing dates on my calendar. What a fun night all the way around!
We came for Sunday "brunch". l wouldn't really call it a brunch. More like a nice big breakfast, but we were very pleased. First, order the donuts to eat while you wait for breakfast. They are wonderful. You can take home any you don't finish. We also recommend the bloody Mary. Excellent. Then the breakfast. Very good! Definitely a place for Sunday (only serve breakfast on Sunday) breakfast.
