Overall lovely experience at Sunday brunch. Delicious and inventive food combined with great service.
We ordered and waited for over an hour for our food. We asked the waiter three times to check on our order.
Fantastic food and service! Highly recommend Sunday Brunch! We were a party of three and split 2 appetizers, 3 entrees and 2 desserts and everything was delicious. Can't wait to go back again!
Appetizers, entrees and desserts were all excellent!
A great experience...food great, wine great, people great
Food was amazing!
Outstanding as usual!
Main Waiter was not that pleasant. Hostess was amazing.
The appetizer was a disappointment. Gnocchi that was not gnocchi. Not sure what it was. It resembled scrapple and was dense with no airiness. My entree was beautiful and delicious but definitely not an entree. Better classified as an appetizer. My boyfriend got a substantial entree and was very happy with it. We came for his birthday and I brought a cake. I called in advance to make sure it was ok and to let them know I was bringing one. When I told the waitress we were ready for the cake she brought it back to the table still in the box and bag I brought it in. There are better places in a similar price range, not worth it in my opinion.
Wonderful experience. Fantastic 5 course tasting menu with wine pairing. Will be back again soon.
The food was amazing 🙌🏼
We chose The Frog and the Peach for our Easter meal, as the menu looked very enticing. Although expensive for a 3-course meal (at that price, one might expect a drink to be included), the food did not disappoint! I started with the risotto. The rabbit and rice were cooked to perfection and full of flavor. The leg of lamb was like butter; no knife needed. My husband had the biscuits with foie gras gravy, which was just divine. His chicken and goat cheese waffles were out of this world! My sister had the pastrami short rib, which was equally as tasty. The portion sizes were perfect, with plenty of time between courses. By the time dessert arrived, we were stuffed!
The restaurant itself was very trendy, and quiet where we were seated, although I would have liked the option to sit on the patio in the sunshine, rather than a dark corner inside. The service was quite nice as well. I ordered a glass of wine that missed the mark for me, so (who I presume was) the sommelier, brought two others for me to try. Best of all, we were free to linger, European-style. We did not feel rushed to vacate the table for another seating. One con was that we were visited by several staff members throughout our meal, so weren't quite sure who our waiter actually was! Also, we had to park in a nearby garage. It would have been nice if the restaurant offered to validate the ticket, as the cost was nearly twice what was indicated on the restaurant's web site!
All in all, it was a delicious, fine-dining meal, in a superb restaurant, and we will certainly return on special occasions.
Beautiful dining room. Small lunch menu but perfect pairings.
Very nice food and great atmosphere
I can’t express how disappointed I was with our dinner. We went for the five course French tasting with wine pairing. To start the restaurant wasn’t quite the same. It was dark gloomy and kind of depressive. But I was forgiving with that considering we are still in Covid. Moving on then there was a table with very loud women. With one speaking so loudly it went straight through me. The frog and the peach is supposed to be fine dining, elegant and upscale. But I guess what could the staff do. We moved our table and could still hear this cackling woman as she proceeded to watch and play videos of her grandkids, nice but it was loud and disruptive. Didn’t pair well with our French tasting menu and wine pairing.
Now let’s move onto our meal… Horrible. What a mess. The first course was a salad with a scallop with a scallop mousseline. Pathetic. The greens were somewhat wilted, really, and the scallop was fishy with an odd aftertaste. Two bites couldn’t eat it. Second course escargot crêpe not bad but something I can make myself. Third course bacon flat bread…It was tasty but something you might get at any run-of-the-mill restaurant. Fourth course quail Coco Vaughn croquet. Mine look like a murder scene sloppily dressed with the red wine sauce. Then the very sad croquet had BONES. The quail had been pound it thin and then rolled with the coq au vin accompaniments inside. When I took a bite my mouth was filled with shards of bones.. gross. The desert was a mediocre raspberry tart With a fridge/freezer burn after taste. Now the wine pairing decent, from my understanding it was a five course tasting menu for $148 with an wine pairing option fir $98 or $48. One server gave us a full pour the other informed us we should only get a wine “tasting “ in the end management offered a credit that was only $48 to cover the wine pairing. It should’ve been half covering one of the five course tastings. Not sure if I will ever go back.
Wonderful atmosphere, awesome date spot
Fabulous experience. Tasting menu and ala cart
Service impeccable.
Celebrating my husbands birthday
We had the french tasting menu with wine pairing. It was amazing
This a wines around the dinner and wine pairing. Ambiance in an elegant tent was perfect. Dinner and wines were superb. Knowledgeable professionals explaining the wines were complemented with in-house sommelier’s vast knowledge and friendly manner. The chef came out at the end to share with the diners; the servers were attentive and reception staff made every effort to ensure comfort. First time out for us, we felt safe and truly enjoyed being out in a social setting that obviously attends to both the enjoyment and safe surroundings for their diners.
The service is excellent. The wines were OUTSTANDING. The food was so good, each bite was so satisfying that I felt like it was nap time after each course. We'll be back!
Always a great meal when we go. We will be back again and again..
The service was subpar & the food was horrible. The only thing good at this restaurant was the Drinks. The general manager was understanding and did comp most of our dinner. Our reservations was at 8pm. We didnt put our order in until after 9. We had ordered the escargot from the prefix to share as a appetizer. Apps didnt come out until another 45 mins and we heard someone yell fire from the kitchen and smelled smoke. Once we got the escargot it came out looking like a 1/4 of a crepe filled mostly with mushrooms and tasted horrible it wasn't the escargot dish we expected. The chef actually came out and gave us a complimentary mushroom ricotta gnocchi appetizer which we didnt expected because we didnt even complain about the escargot but it was a nice gesture we thought because we waited so long and it was now almost 10PM by the time the apps came out. Unfortunately the gnocchi wasnt good either and tasted like tofu soaked in teriyaki sauce but we did not say anything to the waiter as it was a generous offer from the chef. Once we recieved our dinner my husband and I had to send back our beef short ribs as both of our orders where so over cooked we couldnt even cut into or chew and we had to send back. At this point we didnt even want to order anything else. we had lost our appetite not to mention our guest had the wagyu steak and was upset it was tuff. The waiter had offered to comp 1 of my drinks our entrees we didnt eat and our desserts. We then ordered 2 dessert to share amongst 4 adults and one of the desserts we asked for was from the prefix menu which was the size of a reeses cup! We couldnt believe the waiter didnt even say anything and the toffee cake dessert was so dry and we didnt even eat it. The general manager finally came over to us at 1130PM w/ the bill still charging us for over 220! We didn't even eat and that was with the comps the waiter offered! The manager took more off the bill since we where so upset. WE WILL NOT BE BACK
Great food, wine, service was fantastic and perfect timing
The proportion of food the give you is not worth the dollar value. I eat at place similar to the frog and peach, however this restaurant should give a better proportion of food. Also more choices of entree’s
Well let’s just say the menu states trout as a fish but yet salmon is served instead , while the chef / owner will come out with some Google random search stating that’s steelhead trout , trout and salmon aren’t the same not the same smell not the same taste not the same texture . But they will tell you it’s trout . Sad very sad everything else was good Cant complaint service was excellent .
We feel like we are home when we dine at 🐸🍑! From the minute I stepped out, to every interaction, they all do a stellar job! I had my 30th and 40th birthdays here, and I fully recommend it!!!
My daughter and I had the 5 Course Tasting of France and it was delicious!
I was so drunk so I liked it
Everything was absolutely wonderful. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. The staff was so very warm and welcoming we wound up staying far longer than originally planned! It had been years since I had dined there but will definitely return. Thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience.
We chose the 5 course French menu and picked out a nice Bordeaux blend. The experience was very nice; all courses were enjoyed and artfully presented. The tables were distanced appropriately and service was on target.
I thought I'd be posting a favorable recommendation from our Tasting of France. We've eaten here several times in the past. For a french tasting menu, I was expecting more; I was horribly underwhelmed, especially considering the cost. Glad to didn't opt for the wine pairing. And how could we have finished our dessert course, and THEN be offered coffee? Who does that. Last time eating here; there are just too many other fine dining options.
The food was phenomenal, and although the portions were small, it was expected being fine French dining. I was perfectly satisfied after the meal, and the wine caught up with me at the end.
Wonderful 5 course French tasting menu!
Excellent lunch. Fish tacos and scallops were tasty. Indoor/outdoor patio perfect for pre-spring weather.
Simply put, one of the best kitchens in NJ. And, at this point in time, a “simple” lunch felt like both a celebration and a victory.
Perfect spot for “outdoor” dining. Felt completely safe.
Made reservation for 5, they brought us to a table for 4. My wife had to stand for 2-3 minutes while they moved a table over that was 2 inches higher than ours. Not the end of the world, but strange. Had the 5 course Portuguese tasting menu. Solid, but not spectacular. First was a black eye pea salad. Good, but not very inventive. Next was a calde verde soup which was very good. Next was a bacala offering which was also well done. The leitao main offering was good, but I've had better in the Ironbound. The fingerling carrot side was done nicely. The dessert was an olive oil cake which was a nice combination of sweet and savory. We weren't asked about coffee before dessert was served. We had to ask. The coffee was served after dessert and was warm, not hot. Overall, a solid meal. The service was a little disjointed. Weird since it was a relatively slow Sunday night.
Delicious and creative food! Will definitely be back.
Food is good but prices are way to high for the amount of portions that looks like an appetizer instead of main meal , ridiculously expensive..
I don’t have a problem paying if the portions are normal size.
Very disappointed
Me and my wife tried out brunch @ the frog and the peach. It was glorious! The food was spectacular. We had the house cured bacon, served in a savory crepe this dish blew our mind. The rest of the meal was really good too. It was so nice to have a meal where the ingredients are thought out and the plate makes sense. We'll be back!
