Fantastic meal, as always. Rack of lamb and scallops were both perfectly cooked.
Service was great and food was awesome.
Thank you - you made my mothers day so nice.
We were on a date-night that happened to be on Mother’s Day Weekend. We enjoyed our meals and selected options that were outside of our normal palate and enjoyed our selections. The fixed price/menu was a little restrictive and more expensive than we would have ideally selected, but all in all it was a nice night out.
Prefer to pay more $$ and get back to the quality of food that was served pre Covid19. The food was good but not great! Service was impeccable.
I’ve wanted to eat at F&P for years as it always gets good reviews. Unfortunately for me it’s about an hour’s drive from home, so I took advantage of doctor appointment nearby to go for lunch. It was great! The food was excellent. The generously sized starters would have almost been enough by themselves. My companion started with a rich broccoli and cheese soup, and I had a flatbread which was an herby spinach pesto with sliced green olives. We both had pulled duck sandwiches accompanied by yucca fries. The sandwich was intensely flavorful, served on a crunchy baguette roll. And since we didn’t know when we would ever get back there we indulged in dessert, a lovely Meyer lemon semifreddo. All in all we ate too much but were happy!
wow not the frog of my memory - have not eaten here in several years, came back to a really expensive mediocre experience. Sat outdoors next to a window that could not be closed. Overcooked lamb, very good duck breast, boring crudo and an non memorable burrata made this an expensive adventure in not worth it. Dont bother - go somewhere else.
Lovely place for outdoor dining! Very serene and safe. Open for great ventilation and tables nicely distanced! We had a very enjoyable dinner!
While the food was good, the restaurant did not honor our reservation for outdoor dining—after we confrmed it twice!
Great atmosphere and friendly staff, the food was good.
The menu was very limited and our waiter did not know much about the few choices that we had. When we arrived ,the waiter informed us that they had a wedding party and bar serve would be slow. We ordered 2 beers to make it easy and he only brought 1 to our table.
I understand that the restaurant industry has been under a lot of pressure but I eat out often and this restaurant needs to get its act together.
It is also a bit over priced for the portion size. I must say the quality of the food is good but very expense .
I would not go there again.
The entire experience was wonderful. The staff was great from beginning to end. Special thanks to our server, Phil for making us feel extra special throughout the entire evening and to the owner, Bruce for really treating us like old friends. We will certainly be back many times and can't wait to share the experience with our family and friends.
Great food and service. The steak and lamb was excellent.
This is our special-occasions place. Highly recommend the ricotta gnocchi, it's one of our favorites. Our service was excellent. Their garden area seating is lovely, well-ventilated and comfortable.
We had a 6 res. and promplt seated.
Overall wait staff were all excellent, professionally friendly and knowledgable.
We had their 5 course French tasting menu, all very tasty, well presented but the focus was on excellent quality and well prepared dishes. We especially liked the Coq au Vin (actually Quail) and a delicious dessert tart with a Meyer Lemon Meringue.
We requested and were seated in the beautiful covered outdoor area - not your typical Jersey Covid tent but a nicely appointed sort of covered patio with dining lighting, warm rather than glaring.
Highly recommended, and when we return we'll want to sit at their beautiful in-restaurant antique looking bar. Remainder of restaurant looks very nice too though a little darker than we'd want on a beautiful Spring evening.
The French tasting menu and the duck entree were fantastic.
Outstanding dining experience. Definitely worth repeat visits...
There was a wedding party near us so a bit loud but everything else was wonderful.
Excellent food and service! We sat in the outside area so it was a little cold but it is safely enclosed and well heated. Will definitely come to dine again!
Overall lovely experience at Sunday brunch. Delicious and inventive food combined with great service.
Fantastic food and service! Highly recommend Sunday Brunch! We were a party of three and split 2 appetizers, 3 entrees and 2 desserts and everything was delicious. Can't wait to go back again!
We ordered and waited for over an hour for our food. We asked the waiter three times to check on our order.
Appetizers, entrees and desserts were all excellent!
A great experience...food great, wine great, people great
Food was amazing!
Outstanding as usual!
Main Waiter was not that pleasant. Hostess was amazing.
The appetizer was a disappointment. Gnocchi that was not gnocchi. Not sure what it was. It resembled scrapple and was dense with no airiness. My entree was beautiful and delicious but definitely not an entree. Better classified as an appetizer. My boyfriend got a substantial entree and was very happy with it. We came for his birthday and I brought a cake. I called in advance to make sure it was ok and to let them know I was bringing one. When I told the waitress we were ready for the cake she brought it back to the table still in the box and bag I brought it in. There are better places in a similar price range, not worth it in my opinion.
Wonderful experience. Fantastic 5 course tasting menu with wine pairing. Will be back again soon.
The food was amazing 🙌🏼
I went to college in New Brunswick so I've been hearing about how wonderful The Frog & The Peach is for almost 20 years, and I finally got to try it for Easter brunch. It lives up to the hype! The Garden Patio is beautiful, and the most ambient outdoor dining experience I've had since the beginning of the pandemic (and in the top 5 in my life). The patio is tastefully decorated with fresh flowers and there are shades in case it's too sunny, while still offering ample ventilation.
The food is outstanding. The Easter brunch menu offered something for everyone, and our group raved about the scallops, lamb and chicken & waffles (my personal favorite). The Meyer lemon dessert was also fantastic. I'm not a food critic by any means, but I have been lucky enough to eat in a number of excellent restaurants and The Frog & The Peach is one of them.
The service is impeccable without being pretentious. It was a little slow at times but I expect this on a holiday and we were grateful to have some extra time to spend together. I've been recommending The Frog & The Peach to my friends in NJ and I hope to visit again soon!
We chose The Frog and the Peach for our Easter meal, as the menu looked very enticing. Although expensive for a 3-course meal (at that price, one might expect a drink to be included), the food did not disappoint! I started with the risotto. The rabbit and rice were cooked to perfection and full of flavor. The leg of lamb was like butter; no knife needed. My husband had the biscuits with foie gras gravy, which was just divine. His chicken and goat cheese waffles were out of this world! My sister had the pastrami short rib, which was equally as tasty. The portion sizes were perfect, with plenty of time between courses. By the time dessert arrived, we were stuffed!
The restaurant itself was very trendy, and quiet where we were seated, although I would have liked the option to sit on the patio in the sunshine, rather than a dark corner inside. The service was quite nice as well. I ordered a glass of wine that missed the mark for me, so (who I presume was) the sommelier, brought two others for me to try. Best of all, we were free to linger, European-style. We did not feel rushed to vacate the table for another seating. One con was that we were visited by several staff members throughout our meal, so weren't quite sure who our waiter actually was! Also, we had to park in a nearby garage. It would have been nice if the restaurant offered to validate the ticket, as the cost was nearly twice what was indicated on the restaurant's web site!
All in all, it was a delicious, fine-dining meal, in a superb restaurant, and we will certainly return on special occasions.
Beautiful dining room. Small lunch menu but perfect pairings.
Very nice food and great atmosphere
I can’t express how disappointed I was with our dinner. We went for the five course French tasting with wine pairing. To start the restaurant wasn’t quite the same. It was dark gloomy and kind of depressive. But I was forgiving with that considering we are still in Covid. Moving on then there was a table with very loud women. With one speaking so loudly it went straight through me. The frog and the peach is supposed to be fine dining, elegant and upscale. But I guess what could the staff do. We moved our table and could still hear this cackling woman as she proceeded to watch and play videos of her grandkids, nice but it was loud and disruptive. Didn’t pair well with our French tasting menu and wine pairing.
Now let’s move onto our meal… Horrible. What a mess. The first course was a salad with a scallop with a scallop mousseline. Pathetic. The greens were somewhat wilted, really, and the scallop was fishy with an odd aftertaste. Two bites couldn’t eat it. Second course escargot crêpe not bad but something I can make myself. Third course bacon flat bread…It was tasty but something you might get at any run-of-the-mill restaurant. Fourth course quail Coco Vaughn croquet. Mine look like a murder scene sloppily dressed with the red wine sauce. Then the very sad croquet had BONES. The quail had been pound it thin and then rolled with the coq au vin accompaniments inside. When I took a bite my mouth was filled with shards of bones.. gross. The desert was a mediocre raspberry tart With a fridge/freezer burn after taste. Now the wine pairing decent, from my understanding it was a five course tasting menu for $148 with an wine pairing option fir $98 or $48. One server gave us a full pour the other informed us we should only get a wine “tasting “ in the end management offered a credit that was only $48 to cover the wine pairing. It should’ve been half covering one of the five course tastings. Not sure if I will ever go back.
Wonderful atmosphere, awesome date spot
Fabulous experience. Tasting menu and ala cart
Celebrating my husbands birthday
We had the french tasting menu with wine pairing. It was amazing
This a wines around the dinner and wine pairing. Ambiance in an elegant tent was perfect. Dinner and wines were superb. Knowledgeable professionals explaining the wines were complemented with in-house sommelier’s vast knowledge and friendly manner. The chef came out at the end to share with the diners; the servers were attentive and reception staff made every effort to ensure comfort. First time out for us, we felt safe and truly enjoyed being out in a social setting that obviously attends to both the enjoyment and safe surroundings for their diners.
