Even in this time of COVID, the Frog has managed to remain a wonderful place for lunch or dinner--and now Sunday brunch. The Frog's care about distancing and other safety precautions ensure stress-free dining.
For lunch I had their hamburger, surely the best burger in the area. And amazing oysters. The server was wonderful. Indeed, everything about dining at the Frog is always wonderful--even as I miss the buzz of a crowd that meets you when you enter, before so much was shut down.
Everything was perfect. Hey went above and beyond.
Thanks again for the wonderful time.
Not there food was not good at all! I will never return!
The Portuguese tasting menu was fantastic, especially the braised pork.
I have been going to this restaurant for 40 years, since my early 20s and it has never let me down once. I know there is a new owner and he has only improved it-keep doing what you’re doing it’s a great restaurant if you didn’t know it you’d think you were in a chic Manhattan restaurant.
Great Service and great food and affordable ... and an amazing deal on the 1$ oysters... the chef is super knowledgeable and nice person. Became my favorite restaurant in NJ
Still the best Restaurant in NJ. Never had a bad Meal at the F&P in 30 years.
New Year’s Eve dinner. 5 course meal, price fixe. Outstanding food and great service.
Met our son from Brooklyn. At $650 with wine pairings (and without tip), it was nearly 50% more per person more than I’ve ever paid. At that price differential, it tough to say it was worth it.
We absolutely loved this place, the atmosphere was just perfect. Food was delicious, and the service was on point!
Delicious, warm & cozy heated patio dining!
Such a nice place! Great service, delicious food!
Nothing but the best experiences here. The food is always creative and on point. Dishes you have one tie taste equally as good the second and third times you order them (and you will! ) The service is always wonderful - warm and welcoming and everyone is knowledgeable about the food from the ingredients to the the nuances of the oyster varieties. I have been coming here regularly for 13 years. Hopefully, there are 13 more to come. You simply can't go wrong.
It was a Magical evening. Super date scene and the food was nothing short of excellent.
We went there for lunch and sat at the conservatory which is kept lush and warm. There are only four tables with a very good distance between them.
The tacos (as usual) were delicious, we ordered repeat orders as the main course. The arugula salad was fresh crisp and served with a generous dose of walnuts.
The Hiram Gimlet was a wonderful desert. I can't wait to go back.
Excellent food with a wonderful Italian tasting menu. Lovely enclosed patio.
The setting was lovely. The music was perfect. Every bite was delicious! It was a wonderful experience.
We’ve been going to the F&P since the 1980s. Our good stander in New Jersey and it always remains the most innovative, consistent, aesthetically attractive and service-oriented restaurant in its class. Top caliber ingredients, food quality, preparation and presentation.
This is where we go to explore and learn- and my spouse is a CIA trained chef to boot...it’s eclectic New Brunswick cultural feel and creative vibe make it our #1 food destination. Lots of great food in NB, but the F&P outlasts and out-delivers them all.
Always excellent. Food, Service, Wine/Drink program is consistently as good as anywhere in NJ and has been for a very long time. They have also done a particularly effective job at coping with and adapting to our COVID 19 mess.
It was my 50th bday dinner and it was fabulous- great wagu beef and suprise dessert that was amazing ohhhh and the chibatta rolls rock
We were thrilled to get a parking space behind the restaurant for DH’s birthday dinner. It was a quiet Sunday evening but service was exemplary. We had some help selecting a French white exactly to our taste. We so adore the warm rolls and herb butter. We shared the mushroom gnocchi to start. These potato pillows are impossibly light and a treat to eat. Entrees were the scallops and the char. Both were fresh and perfectly prepared. Such a lovely celebration dinner!
Great food, we love it and will visit the place again for sunday brunch and special occasion.
Treat yourself and join the Frog and the Peach for lunch. The new lunch menu is outstanding. Save room for dessert. Let's support our restauranteurs, chef and their staff. It is a safe and welcoming environment and always a first class experience.
My boyfriend and I go to dinner every Saturday the last few times we have gone to New Brunswick and it has been such an amazing dinning experience for us from the hostess to the
Bartender, bus boy/girl waiter/waitress to the most amazing food ever! We have been dating for 1year and 5 month and have been out to eat almost every sat 73 dates/restaurants your restaurant is 5 on our list and thats including a total of 4 restaurants in New Brunswick 👏👏👏👏👏👏
In this time of pandemic downsizing, it was a pleasure to experience fine dining on Thanksgiving. We ate in the covered, heated patio, with open side panels for ventilation. While my celery root bisque could have benefited from a bit of salt my husband's duck condition appetizer was excellent. We both chose the turkey dinner, and other than my own homemade, it was the best turkey and stuffing we have had. Desserts were good, but I did miss pumpkin pie. However I certainly recommend this restaurant!
My daughter and I went here for Thanksgiving dinner. We do not mind spending money at a good restaurant when the food is delicious, even if it's a bit over priced. However, despite the reviews that this restaurant has received in the past, we were 100% disappointed in the food. It was awful. The turkey and stuffing were sub par. I'm not even sure it was as tasty as a low end frozen turkey dinner. By no stretch of the imagination was that meal worth $58. I liked the location and the atmosphere. The service was outstanding. But, without tasty food, it's not worth the price. I'll wait to see if there are consistently good reviews post-covid before considering this place again. As of now, I would definitely not recommend this restaurant unless you order a specific dish that has received consistently good reviews.
We have not been to The Frog and Peach for 28 years. We loved it back in the day and we were looking forward to a great Thanksgiving experience in this covid year.
Sadly we were extremely disappointed. The staff was great but the food was poor at best. Soup had no flavor, Wild Boar seemed as if had been cooked on Monday, dry and tasteless. Cheese board was good. My wifes Cauliflower was ok, Scallops dry and tasteless, Blondie was stale.
Sorry to say it as we had such high expectations and prior experiences but it was truly disappointing.
Almost $200.00 for a meal I would be embarrassed to serve to guests in my home.
We will not be returning.

Very nice experience to celebrate Thanksgiving Day despite the usual ambiance didn’t exist due to the current situation. Time allocated was sufficient to have a pleasant conversation over a tasteful and creative food. Service was as expected: professional, prompt and discreet. As the weather was exceptionally beautiful, fully enjoyed being seated in the semi-outdoor room.
We look forward to returning to The Fro and the Peach sometime soon and highly recommend it.
Two years ago the dinner was delicious. This time the turkey reninded me of turkey roll. Very disappointing. I also didn’t care for the terrine as an appetizer.
We went to the F&P for Thanksgiving and it could not have been a nicer experience. Our server, Emilio, was very attentive and friendly. He had wonderful suggestions based on his favorite menu items. We wanted to take a couple meals to go and the chef was kind enough to do so and threw in a portion of their to go turkey meal as well. The other server whose name I did not get was also excellent. He suggested some Frangelico for our coffee which we did not think to order but was so tasty (we appreciate a good upsell!). For our meals, we had the duck confit and mushroom gnocchi for apps. The duck was incredible, crispy...perfect. The gnocchi was surprisingly light as described by Emilio. For entrees, we had Caccio e Pepe which is my fav Italian pasta. So simple but hard to find in a restaurant. They have it mastered. Also had the beef tenderloin which was cooked and seasoned perfectly and so juicy. For dessert, we had popcorn creme brûlée and Apple galette. The brûlée was topped with this amazing caramel corn and had shards of chocolate dusted with cayenne pepper. Definitely a one of a kind dessert! The galette was warm and comforting. My parents gave rave reviews for their to go meals as well! We want to thank everyone for providing us with an exceptional experience and place to celebrate Thanksgiving given that we had to be separated from family.
Food didn’t live up to the hype. Not worth it for the money.
Awesome anniversary meal. The service was super attentive .
Lovely outdoor experience. Wonderful food.
The location is beautiful but the food was very disappointing.
As always, our dining experience was delightful. Especially during these trying times. The outdoor setup couldn’t be more perfect.
And, the food....well it is always so inventive and so very good!
I have been going to The Frog and the Peach for years . We always seem to go here to celebrate my wife’s birthday. The food was always spectacular, the service always top notch . We went last year and they had changed the menu to more of a tapas menu . We were disappointed because we felt there was no reason to change. We went this time because of the availability of outside dining with a heater above . The experience was very good compared to other restaurants we have been to. I understand that there is a need for a reduced menu because of reduced number. Of patrons . The food was good , but not as good as they had in the past. Compared to other restaurants at this point it is still one of the better ones we have been to. I look forward to everything returning to some sort of normality. I would definitely return to this restaurant and hopefully the menu will return to pre-COVID days.
Food was poor. Significant decline versus past experiences.
I have loved the Frog since it opened well-nigh forty years ago. Even during this pandemic, with all its difficulties for restaurants, it remains an amazing place. Care has been taken to ensure safety for staff and diners. A menu, more limited than long ago, is appetizing indeed. On this visit we had seared char with an einhorn berry risotto (amazing) preceded by celery root and crab bisque. Perfect meal. And the staff are a,ways outstanding.
The Frog and the Peach was the perfect destination for celebrating our second wedding anniversary. Everything was on point, and we couldn’t have been happier w the table, atmosphere, food/beverages and service. I can’t wait to go back!!
