Great food, highly recommend the martini special, it’s refreshing.
They make their own salad dressing which was delicious. Wings were good, had the salmon for dinner which was salmon but the risotto was great, don’t know what the sauce was on it but it was really good.
The flavor of the corned beef in my Reuben sandwich was good, but it was thick-cut, which made the sandwich a little hard to eat. (It was still tasty, though.) The food took a little longer to come out than I would have liked, but that’s perhaps to be expected under COVID conditions.
Great meal! My husband had the chicken salad BLT sandwich and the chips. He ate every last bite. The chips were fresh and seasoned perfectly. I had the burger sliders and we ordered the half order of zucchini fries to split. The burgers were flavorful and delicious. The zucchini fries melted in our mouths. The sriracha ranch dipping sauce was fire! We loved the meal and the atmosphere. Well done!
Always enjoyable and the food is delicious!
Wonderful experience in the midst of covid! Had just re-opened and they did a great job with social distancing, etc!
The food was delicious and the wait staff was awesome.
Great chicken sandwich
We had a great meals and great service at our Valentine’s dinner for 8.
Generally we have liked but this time 2 out 4 meals not up to par. Reuben had almost no corned beef. All sauerkraut and cheese. Grilled cheese needed more grilling. Middle absolutely cold
Delicious food. Try the biscuits and gravy and the french toast. Save room for grits.
We had been tot he Franklin Inn a few times prior and the food was pretty decent, but this last time was terrible. The food came out cold for both of our plates. I sent mine to be heated up...and even then it was still mildly warm. I think I bit down on a piece of glass that was chipped from the plate. The steak was so fatty that my friend could eat about 1/3 of it. We left and went to another restaurant to get a cup of coffee and a big dessert.
Sandwich came out from kitchen with very fatty slabs of the wrong meat, waitress was quick to take care of it
The Franklin Inn was awesome!! We came on New Year's Eve, so it was more crowded and busy than usual, btu our food was delicious and moderately priced. I got a cheeseburger and I can honestly say it was one of the best I've had! TFI was located on the cutest little corner, across from a supermarket, and there was such a cozy vibe to it. Will definitely return here!
We had a group of 6 for brunch. Everyone loved their food and the service was great!
Unsafe food preparation in the kitchen
Good food, excellent service BUT the noise was so high that dinner conversation was impossible. I recommend you amp it down a few decibels.
Mel's Supper Club really enjoyed our dining experience at The Franklin Inn. The service was great and the food was outstanding. We would definitely dine there again.
We really enjoyed our visit. I was especially impressed with the bartender who takes her craft very seriously, and does an excellent job making mixed drinks.
Nice neighborhood bar / restaurant. Cosy and not pretentious. The tin ceiling tiles have a nice look, butt bounce sound back so it is noisy. Nice selection of local brews. Fried zucchini was excellent. Sandwiches were very tasty, but the fries were a let down.
The older waitress (maybe the owner?) was dressed inappropriately in a see-through dress without underwear. Very offensive. The noise level was very loud, as well. If it wasn't for those two things, it would have been 5 stars across the board. Food was delicious! Service was good.
Terribly uncomfortable seating. Marginal quality food . Not particularly clean . Had to ask for ice for my water . Glass of water was warm ??!!
Yes, it is a tiny neighborhood bistro and they are understaffed, BUT the food was SO good and the vibe was great, so we didn't mind the extra time it took to get drinks or dessert. We just conversed with the other guests around us and enjoyed ourselves.
They were very understaffed but the 2 wait staff tried super hard and the food was amazing. All the tables inside were full and most of the tables outside. It was not a problem for us that it took over an hour to get our drinks and food but they definitely need more help!
Small corner pub that appears to have regulars. Warm welcome and promptly given a choice for our table. Waitress said it was only her 3rd night, but she appeared to be an experienced waitress, was upbeat, polite, and offered good service. We happened to go on a night where $5 burgers were offered and 3 of our 4 guests ordered different varieties and all were great! We will return based on the food and the service.
This place is everything it is supposed to be. It has a great neighborhood vibe, an attentive staff, and delicious food. If you want fancy, this is not for you. If you want food that makes you feel good and nice people, this is where you need to go.
Fan district dining at its best! Wanted something different and sat outside and enjoyed the evening!
What a great neighborhood pub! I love the friendly staff. It's a boisterous and happy place, so if you are in a quiet mood, probably not the best place. But if you want to be around happy and chatty people, check it out. We ate brunch there and loved it. The food was very good. One of the waitresses brought over coloring books for our little girl. Very thoughtful. Highly recommended.
Amazing food great staff!
Very small cozy neighborhood pub style restaurant. Appetizers were all very good and plentiful. Not great for large groups. Bathroom access was a little dicey...especially with too many drinks or for those wearing heels. Very steep and dark stairs. They had had a water issue down there in recent days so the smell was not great down there, but you could not smell it upstairs. Service was very good.
We both were eating the sirloin steak special when a water bug joined us in the middle of the table. So much for our appetites. And all the waitress did was say sorry and comped a glass of wine.
A good find. A real locals place, if you're from out of town you'll be the only non-regular in there.
Great food and ambiance!
Great food and very friendly service.
Very Good food in the relaxed atmosphere of a real neighborhood restaurant. Food is straight forward and consistently very good- service trails the food quality by just a bit but is still more than adequate. If you have not been there, give it a try - we will be back.
Very nice neighborhood restaurant. The service was excellent and the food was good.
It was a fun vibe in the museum district and the food and service were outstanding!
My wife and I celebrated Mother's Day at the Franklin Inn. We found the restaurant to be a cozy, friendly place--just the sort of restaurant we like.
We both started with mimosas, (which, in honor of my late mother, I called a "Mom-miss-ya"). Delicious!
Then my wife had the Eggs Benedict with grits while I had one of the specials, Crab Benedict (substituting a crab cake for the slice of ham) and grits. Both versions of the Benedict were excellent. The grits were very good, also, the only criticism was that they were barely warm. (That's what caused the -1 star in my food rating.) This did not deter us from enjoying our brunch, though.
We expect to return to the Franklin Inn in the near future.
Mother’s day
It was cute and the food was decent. Small and really basic menu. Really small - cramped space . The bathrooms were not clean and smelled.
There was a Strange odor coming from the bathroom. My husband excused himself to the restroom early on and came back wanting to leave immediately. He was completely grossed out by the condition and didn’t trust eating there. I though he was just overacting and convinced him to stay so that we didn’t cause a scene. This is not somewhere you go out to eat. This is somewhere you might get a drink. I’m not sure why they’re on Open Table.
