The multiple course format at The Four Seasons syncs with the sophisticated atmosphere and professional service. First course options are on the lighter side in preparation for the second course. Excellent combinations include crispy oysters followed by the ahi burger with mango onion salsa.

A fond farewell to the Four Seasons and the best dining room in town. The Pool Room was as magical as ever, as was the food, especially the crispy duck and the souffles. We are sorry to see it go but are glad we had one last time there.
The restaurant is closing two weeks hence, and it showed - badly. Food varied between outstandingly exceptional to mediocre to downright bad. Selections from a heavily depleted wine list were very limited, esp in the affordable range. Service was slow, haphazard, and actually neglectful, all of which are totally unacceptable in a restaurant of this supposed caliber.
Wanted to experience the 4 Seasons before it closed. Unfortunately, the food quality had departed long before the restaurant had closed for the final time. Great ambiance, just extremely disappointed in what was supposed to be a grand send out. No way unfortunately, to go back and make it right...
The restaurant is beautiful. The food is delicious. They make a great mojito. The crispy shrimp was devine, but expensive. The steak was superb. The chocolate soufflé was yummy. Unfortunately, they are closing. The restaurant is very expensive.
The restaurant is closing, but it was clear that the restaurant in theory closed months ago. The bathrooms were dirty, the restaurant was stripped of the art, and the food was mediocre. Dining staff was less attentive and seamed not to care. Not one team member asked how the food was, because, respectfully, I think they already knew.

It pains me that this iconic restaurant, still so wonderful and replete with history that even we non New Yorkers can appreciate, is losing its lease. I'm very fortunate to have dined on a couple of occasions at the Four Seasons and I look forward to the restaurant's reopening in a new location in 18 months. I trust that the great quality and unpretentious atmosphere will carry over. I hope some of the history of this establishment also can be sensed at the new location.
Any Rosen should be ashamed for forcing FSR out.
This is a landmark and should be treated as such.
Celebrated our anniversary there on June 27. All was great but it is not cheap. But do go if you can for a bit of NYC history and a great meal.
