It was my first and last time. Took away a special time for us and turned it into such a bad experience. We were better off staying at home with our kids. Will never be returning.
Our servers were great and especially Jessica. Table side preparation of our tuna tar tar, and Ceasar salad were expertly crafted. The steaks high quality and temperature perfect. Side dishes quite rich and ample as family style.
I have been to upscale restaurants all over the world and The Forge easily made it's way to the top of my favorites list!! I was here on a date for a fun, romantic night out. The Forge did not disappoint from start to finish. Had an 8pm reservation and we were seated immediately upon arrival. That was followed by our server being one of the best I've ever had, a true service professional who knew the menu forward and backward and made great recommendations. To top it all off, the food and cocktails were absolutely amazing. They had their own twist on classics, which included the sweet potato gratin that was to die for. I was so impressed with the entire experience and I cannot wait to go back!
Amazing SOM. Picked great wines for us.
It’s funny, they ask you if your celebrating something, and they don’t even comp dessert? Why bother asking? $487.00 bill and you can’t comp a dessert?
Very disappointed-been going to the Forge for well over 40 years. Tasteless steak tartar . All 3 of us had the super steak. Tough-no flavor-took home 3/4 of my steak. Gave it away. What a let down.
The waitstaff was incredibly generous and the food was delectable. Our waitress was incredibly fun and caring. She even gave us a tour of the restaurant! However, there were some issues with the wine. First, the wine list online is different from the wine menu presented, with different wines and vintage years. Then comes actually ordering the wine. The initial bottle ordered was no longer in stock. Then, when I ordered the second bottle, it was the wrong vintage year. Being someone who studies wine, I know vintage variation matters quite a bit - especially for Bordeaux’s left bank, the type of wine we ordered. The wine list had the bottle as a 2009 vintage, which was a fantastic year for Bordeaux’s left bank. However, the bottle presented to us was a 2012 vintage, which was not as good a year - 9 point difference on WineSpectator. The fill-in sommelier told us that 2012 was one of the best vintage years for Bordeaux’s left bank, which I just agreed to because the whole snafu with the wine and constantly being told “how good that year is” were damaging the overall experience. Additionally, they have no decanters, so the wine did not get a chance to truly breath. Rather, we would have to poor the wine into our glasses and then let it sit to breath. For any aged wine, you want it to breath some to open up and truly enjoy the wine and the various flavors and aromas. So, the fact it was a 2012 and not even decanted rather irked me at the fact I paid $140 for the wine. That price does not justify the vintage and fact it was not served correctly. For a steakhouse that prides itself on its wine list, they should make sure they actually know more of what they are doing when it comes to wine. Aside from this, I would still recommend The Forge for the food and cocktails - I am hesitant about the wine, though.
We felt rushed by our server and then when I paid the bill she didn't have change on top of the fact the bill included gratuity
We also always loved the singers on Friday night which made it fun and different. With out the singers it is just another restaurant.
I went to this restaurant for a birthday celebration. It was quite fancy and nice. The food was also very delicious. It's a little on the pricey side but well worth it for a special occasion.
Simply the best!
Meh so many better places for the price, beautiful restaurant though
Love the atmosphere. Best kale salad ever!
Swoon worthy. Our experience as a family was phenomenal. The wait staff was attentive and knowledgeable. The food was exceptional - start to finish. Everyone's needs and preferences were well taken into account and easily accommodated with a smile. Our daughter's birthday was delightful because we could actually hear each other over the music. Wow! What a concept?! Great for a date, a meeting or special occasion.
Great service and amazing meal wrapped in beautiful atmosphere. Can't go wrong.
Everything was amazing my new favorite restaurant!!! The tour was amazing as well
The Forge is the place to be on Friday. Period. Full stop!
Very pleased with our Wedding Anniversary dinner experience.
The music was great, DJ Roberto Costa played an amazing mix, the food was excellent as always, the service - impeccable, thanks to my boy Dean. By far the most attentive and hospitable host we have experienced in Miami, ask to be seated in his section, highly recommend. Huge thank you to Mr. Malnik.
Frankie Jordan was the best !
I love The Forge. As you walk in the hostess is friendly and if you have reservations they are prompt to take you to your table. Although I always like to make a quick stop by the bar and do some people watching.... so, show up early to your reservation.
The wine list is superb. And of course... the steaks! This time we had the Ribeye and the super steak. But the appetizer was so good... it was a burrata and asparagus salad. (Very good). Also my wife has to always have the fish.... it is always good.
Everything was excellent, if not perfect! Wine, food, service - top notch!!
Over the last 10 Years, today it was my FIRST time to get a FILET MIGNON with a bone. This is a way to make more money and profit....
They sell a Filet Mignon for USD 66,— but you just get a Porterhouse or T-Bone Steak, which is either ‘cheating’ or another way of selling overpriced Food - it is far away from reality!
Here what wikipedia explain:
The tenderloin is the most tender cut of beef and is also arguably the most desirable and therefore the most expensive. The average steer or heifer provides no more than 500 grams of filet mignon. Because the muscle is not weight-bearing, it contains less connective tissue, which makes it tender. However, it is generally not as flavorful as some other cuts of beef (example, primal rib cuts), and is often wrapped in bacon to enhance flavor, and/or is served with a sauce.
I used to love this place. But last years they got down so much. Food was great now they could not not cook my steak the way I asked.
I was there for a date in Friday, I requested a table for that. They put me right in front of the bar with a very noise music that didn’t allowed any conversation, even there were other places very quiet there.
The cost of it keeps high, but now does not worth for what you get.
Our server, Anna, was awesome and food was great too!
I was disappointed
The service was not good , we have to ask for the wine list...
The food was very dry
My steak was very good, wife was supposed to be medium rare but came as medium. We returned and came back perfect. Due to the inconvenience we were treated to free desert and coffee.
Great place to have a nice dinner with delicious food & beverages.
Service was terrible. One bad dining experience will do it for you. We ordered 3 sides and apparently the waitress only heard 1. A table for 5 ending up eating steaks for dinner with one basket of fries that was brought out 10 min after the steaks had arrived.
When we asked for our desert that we special ordered they said it would be out in 2 min. We waited 45 minutes. Ended up cancelling.
Let me not forget: one steak was medium well instead of medium rare and the steamed crab legs we ordered came cold.
Terrible dining experience and this was supposed to be a celebration for us. Beyond disappointed.
Our kids called to send and anniversary dessert with candle.. no one came over with it.. we come often but we’re very disappointed that night..
We had the best filet ever! I am still thinking about it!! The service and ambiance are excellent and we asked for a tour after our meal which was really wonderful! Will visit again next time we are in Miami!!
The Forge has changed over the years. We all had the table-side Caesar and I think I felt robbed to pay $18 for a salad that was made by my table. Other than watching it being made it was not special and it didn’t taste so good it tasted like any other Caesar salad. Steak was good but overpriced like the salad. We finished the meal with the chocolate soufflé which was a little weak on chocolate . Wine lists is extensive and has something for everyone. But I do have an issue with the recommended red wine by the GLASS being $36. Our server was lovely and helpful the ambiance was beautiful. But the food was meh.
I used to love The Forge
Very classy place to dine or just hang out by the bar
This time we came on a Sunday night for dinner
First of all we were offered wine by the glass
Have to stay the food and the wine was very good
But the service was horrible. Our empty plates were left in the table for over 20 minutes. Our water glasses were empty most of the time with no one to fill them up.
When the bill came in three glasses of wine
We were never offered to buy the bottle instead
Nor were we told how much it was going to cost per glass the waitress just recommended that wine
I don’t like going to places where the tip is included 20% because usually the service is poor as was in The Forge
Will not return
We were never told how much it was going to be no I we offered the bottle instead
Worst Steak I’ve ever had in 30 years.
Good services and food but too loud for having a relaxing dinner. Management should establish rules to teach some people how to behave in public.
It was really good
The food is excellent. Extremely hard to find better. It's clear the menu items and their preparation have been very well thought out.
I was in town for the Miami Yacht Show and the experience was so good, I had dinner here two nights in a row. My choice both evenings was the Chilean Sea Bass.
Service was good and the valet staff were on top of things.
A final note, make sure you bring your big wallet, you will need it, but it's worth the price.
Excellent. Cocktails were awesome and the food as well.
food and service is good, but food as in steaks are not consistent for Prime quality , like the good old days
Exciting atmosphere great food and wine. Have to enjoy energy and music!!
