The Forge is near the popular tourist downtown area of Jack London Square and offers its patrons a unique dining experience. The pizza restaurant bakes most of its pizzas in the Italian Valoriani oven, which was imported and provides a slightly burnt texture to the crust. The Forge uses seasonal and organic ingredients for its popular items, such as the Neapolitan style pizza which is cooked in a wood oven. The restaurant also offers American classic pizzas, appetizers, sandwiches and soups.

For those who like the outdoors, The Forge has a 1,600-square-foot patio overlooking the Bay. The patio is great year round with the heat lamps and fire pits to provide warmth. The restaurant opens daily at 11 a.m.

First time here. Little gem salad with parsnip chips was fabulous, followed by cauliflower arugula pizza was awesome.

Extremely attentive service. Much more so than I've had here before. Just on the edge of intrusive. But! The food arrived quickly, well plated, and delicious.

We were thrilled to find a cool place in Jack London with great service and good food options. Love that the pizzas are organic, the chicken is Mary's, etc. Was disappointed that the desserts are made with sub par ingredients – at least teh soft serve definitely is – high fructose corn syrup, artificial colors and flavors, etc. yuck! Would love to see them work on making more and more of the menu clean, healthy and organic.

The pizzas are super tasty and so is the little gems salad. Servers are fantastic.

We stopped by for our first visit, based on a recommendation from a friend. It was EXTREMELY NOISY when we arrived, and we almost left. The hostess was very nice and sat us at a booth on the back wall. It was a little less noisy, and eventually improved as more people left. The problem was that the music was so loud, people had to yell to be heard! Not fun. The menu is not huge, but they had a nice variety to pick from. The pizzas come in one size only, with interesting combinations. The service, I have to say, was outstanding. Our server was nice, friendly, funny, and guided us through the menu like a pro. Be sure to order the cheese curds! I wasn't sure what to expect, but if you like deep-fried mozarella, you will LOVE the curds.

The pepperoni-mushroom pizza was delicious. The fried cheese curds were addictive.

The service was friendly and helpful. Want to go back to try other choices. Too loud inside.

The pizza isn't bad, but I really hate when restaurants have a "no more than 3 credit cards" policy. I travel around the country with usually around 10 coworkers and we each HAVE to pay our separate bills on our own cards, that's OUR policy. We informed our server of this prior to ordering since we've had issues with other restaurants in the area and the manager worked with us that time, but I don't want to have to negotiate this situation every time we show up, so sadly the place is now blacklisted for our corporate lunches/dinners.

The salad and Brussels sprouts were good - but the pizza a big disappointment - seemed undercooked even. Maybe on off night or something. Or server, tho, was fabulous and took good care of us.

Pizza was excellent as always, service was superb, the wait staff is always very kind and attentive, intelligent and genuinely caring. They remember us and know how we like our pizza. music is great but a notch or two a bit loud for us inside. We were seated along the short exterior wall just beyond the host station and cold air was streaming through the glass/ metal & concrete wall under the table. I was able to move to the middle of table and I covered my legs with a scarf so was comfortable, metal chair was cold but I sat on my jacket, ought to be easy to fix the wall. I forgot to tell them about it. My husband and I had a great time enjoyed our meal and the 80's music. There's no place like the Forge, a favorite resto in the Bay Area

I really love this place but sometimes the service isn't 100. All of the front of house staff is wonderful, but sometimes things feel a little disorganized. It never seems like it's anyone's fault though, it just seems like it's a big restaurant (maybe too big?) that gets really, really busy. Everyone is friendly and the food is superb. It's my favorite and go to spot no matter what the occasion is (birthdays, date night, business lunch, etc).

We like this place so munch we booked it for our rehearsal dinner!

Good food! Hearty, and good for any taste whether herbivore, carnivore or vegetarian. Menu changes periodically... Drinks good! Beer good! Bar or table seating good with friendly knowledgeable staff. Great spot at Jack London! Reliably good experience over-all any time I've had the chance to stop by.

We like Forge. It is a good local place?. Tonight, the crusts on both our pizzas were super charred to the point where we tossed out one of them.

Went for Restaurant Week so we got to try one of their house cocktails, arugula salad, and pizza. The service was great and I liked the atmosphere. I wouldn't say the food was out of this world amazing but it was good.
