The Food Market strives to provide great service in a comfortable environment, where both staff & diners can be themselves.
We invite you to come relax, enjoy, and allow us to do what we do best, for you. Located on the Avenue in Hampden, and open every night, The Food Market serves brunch on Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 9am – 3pm. Dinner is served on Sunday – Thursday from 5pm – 11pm, and on Friday & Saturday from 5pm- 12am. Valet-Parking provided at no cost, nightly during dinner service, starting at 5pm.
Please let us know if you will need space for a high chair or car seat and any other requests you may have!

I went there for Sunday brunch and you really need the reservation. Bar is small but serves the full menu. There were not many vegetarian options but it was easy enough to ask for a meal to be made meat free. I did find that the meal intended to be served with bacon was not very flavorful without it, but it was fine.

I have been to Food Market a bunch of times for Dinner, drinks and brunch. Hands down I think brunch is my favorite meal to eat here. Maybe because they start serving early and I am an early riser, maybe because it's just loud enough after a night out but not too loud.

Reservation for late Saturday brunch. Pretty noisy until the restaurant cleared out. Good food and service. We were surprised we couldn't get a Saturday evening dinner reservation (we called Monday at 5:00 pm; nothing before 9:30 pm). A bit odd they take no calls before 5:00 pm ("number not in service" or something similar). We might give it another try if we can get a decent reservation.

The food is absolutely amazing , I’ve never had a dish that I didn’t love..... I come often especially if I have friends come from out of town, and they’re always pleased.... also a couple of times I had Jermaine as my waiter and he’s the best, very helpful & knowledgeable and keeps us laughing the entire night.... #favoriteplacetoeatinbaltimore.....

Great food and service. My wife had the short ribs and I had the rockfish. Both were excellent. A bit noisy but it was a busy night and TFM has a great vibe.

Overall good experience. Menu is eclectic and unique. Staff and service on point. Great for groups or for dates. In a nice area surrounded by other lively eateries and bars. Would recommend.

Wow, the Food Market really impressed me. The menu was whimsical and creative and the food was out-of-this world delicious. I'm still dreaming of the duck entree I enjoyed and pretty much going to be disappointed with all other food for the rest of my life. Oh well, worth it!

The server jermaine we had was great, so energetic and on top of making sure we had everything we needed. I wasn’t crazy about how the seating was in there but the service, food, and drinks were all great! Also free valet 😉

We made an 8:45 reservation and were not seated until 9:25. Once seated the food took FOREVER to be served. The Bison Burger (which we've had many times) had a different cheese (strong aged flavor) on it which ruined the burger. Also the menu was missing those less decadent appetizers which keeps one from getting bombed before dinner (Cocktails are amazing.) May wait to see what the spring menu has to offer..fun place...but menu needs some healthier options.

Once again, The Food Market provides an excellent dining experience. Our pre theater meal was every thing one wishes for when needing to make a timely exit to catch a show. Service was efficient and well timed and responsive to our need to hurry a bit. Our entrees were wonderful. My blackened tuna was prepared perfectly, even though I passed on the "rare" recommendation, desiring my tuna prepared medium rare. It was spot on and delicious. The apple slaw was an excellent side and combined well with the spicy blackening of the tuna. The wagu meatloaf was an excellent representative of a "comfort food" with a difference.

Went out to FM for the first time - date night with the hubby - food, cocktails, and service were all good. Only negative was our table was right by the entryway from the foyer into the main dining. It was distracting having every single patron walk by us and cold air kept blowing through the curtain - my husband was freezing (and he never gets cold). Was it worth the $120+ for the two of us to each have a cocktail, share an appetizer, each have an entree and dessert? Meh. This is more of a special occasion place for us in the future.

Excellent food and service! We went for my boyfriends birthday, we got the lobster fingers and beef Wellington bites for apps, for dinner he got the lamb rack which was amazing and my mom and I split the scallops and steak frites to make our own delicious surf and turf. The ambiance is very nice and not too loud, my mom is a little hard of hearing. Overall wonderful experience!
