My pick for the best brunch in Baltimore! Delicious food, attentive service and great open-kitchen atmosphere!
Nice vibe with attentive and efficient service. Relaxed environment with very pleasing aesthetics. Will definitely return.
The wait staff and food was OUTSTANDING! A little difficult to hear each other as the noise level is pretty high. The wait staff were attentive and provided recommendations when asked. LOVE half price wine night!!
Can’t wait to go again. Food was SO GOOD.
Good menu too. Only downside, noisy.
Had a fantastic dinner at The Food Market. We enjoyed the porterhouse lamp chop appetizer, and then had the duck and the short rib entrees. Ended with the half baked blondie with torched marshmallow. Everything was not just beautiful on the plates, but delicious as well.
The service was attentive and friendly. Can't wait to go back and try a few different plates.
Great place but loud. Also there were a few kids running up and down the aisles. We were there on a Saturday night so totally inappropriate (I don't have an issue with the kids being there but the behavior was rude) .
Took my out of town sister for her first visit to The Food Market for dinner. While this is my favorite restaurant I believe it may be hers now as well! Everything from the shrimp starter to the fried oyster small plates(we ordered a second plate of them they were so good) was excellent!
I have never had less than a wonderful meal at The Food Market! The unique cocktails are equally as delicious!
It is a little noisy but the food is so outstanding I can deal with the noise! Can’t wait to go back!
The Awesome Benedict was FANTASTIC! I will be back. I am obsessed with that dish!
Always love it here, I come for the bread pudding for every special occasion!
We dined at the Food Market on Friday evening. There was a small group of us with family and friends. We had a GREAT time!! The food was delicious and innovative and the customer service superb from our first stop with the hostess to the remainder of the evening with our server. We had added a member to our party so our reservation was for 4 and we needed seating for 5. The hostess handled it quickly, professionally and always with a smile. I will absolutely go back to The Food Market soon and often!!
Service was great, the mini beef Wellington’s were subpar. But aside from that great dinner
The appetizers of beef wellington in puff pastry were tiny with barely a hint of beef. The lamb chops came out very raw. My scallops were delicious. The filet for my daughter was melt in your mouth. Our server was very nice. Loud and pricey, but worth a visit.
Wonderful experience! Took my nephew who was visiting from North Carolina and his girlfriend for an authentic Baltimore crabcake and TFM did not disappoint. Pricey-- we had good wine-- but worth it.
I have been to the Food Market several times since moving to Baltimore and have a great meal and a great experience, every time! It can be a little crowded and noisy during brunch, but a great date spot for evenings when it's a little quieter. Love the menu, and always great service!
The Sea Bass, Ahi tuna, Short Ribs, Crab cake and Shrimp and Grits were wonderful. Every dish was beautiful, flavorful and just enjoyable. The chefs know what they are doing. Our server, Jermaine, was wonderfully attentive to the right amount and had a sense of humor. He accentuated my Birthday celebration and Momma enjoyed her Chill Pill!! We hope more people come in and have as nice a time!
Seriously one of my absolute favorite places! So worth the drive Especially for a special occasion. I am never disappointed. The cream of crab soup is Devine.
My favorite restaurant in Baltimore! Great food, drinks and service. Definitely recommend TFM to everyone looking for good food and an awesome dining experience.
Once again, an extremely satisfying night out.
Peppers were super spicy in general Nate’s cauliflower
Noisy, put Birthday candle in someone else’s dessert. Food was OK but a bit pricey for such a casual place.
The Food Market was wonderful as always. We were there for brunch and I LOVED the short ribs with poached egg...yum! Had friends visiting from out of town and they always want to go there. Of course the environment is great...and I love the paintings on the wall!!!!
Great bennies for brunch
Great Drink List
You can not go wrong at "The Food Market"
We had been before for brunch but not dinner so decided to try it out for a birthday. Brucnh was great but the dinner was better.
The food was excellent. The tuna meatballs, lobster boom boom, ribeye and blondie were all exceptional. I thought the price was reasonable for the quality. This place fills up so i would suggest making a reservation. Best dinner i've had in a while.
Had a fantastic brunch at Food Market. Started with pretzels and pickles. Both very tasty. The menu is varied and everything looked good and reasonably priced. Service was excellent. Will be back!
This place has become a new favorite of mine. My boyfriend and I made reservations for a Friday night. Reservations are a must on a weekend as this place was packed from the time we got there till the time we left. The service here was top notch. The host, server, and food runners were very friendly and attentive. Our server was so stoked for us each time we ordered food which made us feel confident that our choices were not going to disappoint!
We started with the Amish pretzels off the app menu and the lobster fingers off the small plates. The pretzels came with a tiny mug of beer cheese and were delicious. The lobster fingers were very crispy and had just the right amount of breading.
For our main, I got the wagyu steak frites with truffle fries and green beans. The steak was served over the house steak sauce, which was a great complement to the tender steak. And the truffle fries- oh my god, the fries were so good. I wish they had been bottomless. My boyfriend got the small crab cake with crab scalloped potatoes and green beans. He enjoyed the crab cake but we both agreed the crab scalloped potatoes stole the spotlight.
We ended dinner with the half baked blondies. We ordered not one, but two, and good thing we did because we p much licked those bowls clean. The toasted marshmallow was a great addition to the dish. We will def be returning to try more from the menu!!
Wonderful meal as always at The Food Market! Our server Matt was exceptional! He took care of all our needs - kept the glasses filled, made great recommendations and was super friendly! The cream of crab soup was great - shrimp and grits were very flavorful and cooked perfectly! My husband enjoyed his rib-eye steak.
Te love the Food Market we return frequently, every chance we get
I went there for Sunday brunch and you really need the reservation. Bar is small but serves the full menu. There were not many vegetarian options but it was easy enough to ask for a meal to be made meat free. I did find that the meal intended to be served with bacon was not very flavorful without it, but it was fine.
I have been to Food Market a bunch of times for Dinner, drinks and brunch. Hands down I think brunch is my favorite meal to eat here. Maybe because they start serving early and I am an early riser, maybe because it's just loud enough after a night out but not too loud.
As always the food was excellent......will be back!
My third time at the Food Market and it was great as always!
Reservation for late Saturday brunch. Pretty noisy until the restaurant cleared out. Good food and service. We were surprised we couldn't get a Saturday evening dinner reservation (we called Monday at 5:00 pm; nothing before 9:30 pm). A bit odd they take no calls before 5:00 pm ("number not in service" or something similar). We might give it another try if we can get a decent reservation.
Food was awful! I had seabass which was crusted with something weird and my husband had a cajun spiced ribeye but they seemed to forget to put cajun spice on it so he sent that back and then got steak frites and it was overcooked and had no seasoning at all. Our server was great, attentive and fun.
It was also our wedding anniversary and i mentioned about it in the reservation that i made but it wasnt noted. We didnt even a dessert. Not a a great experience.
Everything we ordered was stupidly delicious. Highly recommend.
We have been for all important occasions for the past 5 years, and the owner made note of it, and paid for our entire check this last valentine’s day to show his appreciation :) we will never forget that so thank you so much
It was fantastic, from the food to the service, to the vibe - Loved it!
The food is absolutely amazing , I’ve never had a dish that I didn’t love..... I come often especially if I have friends come from out of town, and they’re always pleased.... also a couple of times I had Jermaine as my waiter and he’s the best, very helpful & knowledgeable and keeps us laughing the entire night.... #favoriteplacetoeatinbaltimore.....
Great food and service. My wife had the short ribs and I had the rockfish. Both were excellent. A bit noisy but it was a busy night and TFM has a great vibe.
The food and service were excellent!! The menu is great. I will definitely return because I would like to try other selections on the menu.
