I celebrated my birthday at @thefoodmarket tonight! It was THE best choice to celebrate with my fiancé and delicious food! 😋
We got their big ole’ mozzarella sticks, steak frites, crab cake w/ lobster mac & cheese and finished it off with their heathbar crunch bread pudding (with a birthday candle for me 🥺)!
Thank you @baltimorefoodscene @thebaltimorefoodie for the idea! I’ve been dying to visit @thefoodmarket and watching you on @netflix sealed the DEAL! 🙏🏾
The food was awesome as well as the service. Have to go back!
It was unremarkable and very disappointing. On 4 previous occasions, we had amazing dining experiences!!!
Went here and sat at the bar first waiting for the reservation. Absolutely loved the bartender. His skinny marg was shockingly good (not on the menu) and was able to continue ordering them at our table. Food was delicious. Overall great experience.
Our waiter was FANTASTIC and the food was excellent as always. We had a great double date, so happy to be able to eat indoors again (yay vaccines!)
I've never had Chilean sea bass that had an overpowering "fishy" taste. It's usually mild. My fiancee had the "wagyu" steak frites, it was pretty tough for being "wagyu". Cooked medium rare too.
It was her birthday so a bit disappointed, but it's her favorite restaurant.
Short rib was fantastic! Drinks were awesome
Great mix of gourmet and gourmet takes on comfort food. Crab cake and lobster mac and cheese was amazing! The candied bacon bao buns were fantastic.
Food was excellent. Surprised at the limited speciality bourbon cocktails ( mostly Gin)
Very good dinner with great service. Would highly recommend.
Jennifer our waitress was awesome. The highly recommended dishes are:
Shrimp and grits
So great and they give you popcorn with pesto/parm which was awesome !!
I was able to get a late brunch appointment and was seated almost as soon as I walked in. Took a little while for a waitress to come over, but the restaurant was packed as expected for the beautiful Sunday afternoon it was. Our waitress was attentive and made sure we received everything and was able to answer any questions about menu items. I was stuffed and unable to order the dessert, but I will definitely be returning.
The food was amazing! My first time going and I will definitely be back.
Amazing food, will be back. One of Baltimore’s best spots for brunch
I’ve loved everything I’ve had at the Food Market over the years so I brought my friends. One ordered Nicks Salad and added shrimp and was surprised when the bill said $29…for a salad. Yes, shrimp is additional but the menu is a little tricky. It says shrimp $17 not shrimp add $17. So a $12 salad became $29 for 4 shrimp.. most of my dinner entrees are similar price but hey, that’s dinner. Anyways, great food just a little ridiculous. They should consider the wording.
The presentation of food was as fabulous as the deliciousness!
I made a reservation through the app, stating it was my birthday. Apparently, that was overlooked. My daughter had the French toast, which she loved, but the bacon was undercooked. I had shrimp and grits, which was also, tasty, except some of the shrimp still had tails on and buried in the gravy. I think tails should be left on for finger foods, but not when the shrimp are in gravy.
Overall, the dining experience was average.
Excellent food. Hands down one of the most flavorful meals we’ve had in a few months. Delicious entrees, tasty apps, and decent drinks (small cocktails). But the food, that delicious food, made the evening!
Honestly the food was not good. Lacked seasoning and really just not good. So sad because I really wanted to like this place.
Food was amazing- the tempura cauliflower and cheesesteak buns were unreal
The cuisine was spectacular! If you ask what is good, then anyone will simply point to the entire menu. Our server was courteous, attentive, helpful, and easy to have a conversation about our menu questions and table needs. Communication is highly evident as the supporting staff had our table sanitized and well in advance of our visit and when serving the food, were accurate in placing everyone's meal. This is on our top Baltimore area restaurants list!
Our waitress Brandy was truly a gem and made our experience great. Additionally the food was awesome as always. Look forward to dining again.
Food and atmosphere was amazing! We enjoyed our time there.
Excellent and creative food as usual. Must try the deconstructed onion soup and the Buffalo pickles. So happy to see Germaine, love his energy and spirit.
The food and service was top notch.
The Food Market never ever disappoints, ever.
Consistently good cuisine, cocktails, and service.
2nd time in a couple weeks dining at The Food Market. I believe I enjoy the little and small dishes then the entrees. Not really impressed with the crabcake and portions small in my opinion for the price of the entrees. Dessert to go was amazing and generous. Great place to go to celebrate, not a regular go to place for me. Wish they had happy hour.
Our server was an older gentlemen and he was wonderful! Knowledgeable about the food and drinks, and we were happy to find a few vegetarian options on the menu. The Mary Jane cocktail was super funky!
The short ribs were fantastic and my cocktail was soo good had four. Several visits and the food and service has not changed a bit.
Upon arrival the greeter was friendly and accommodating. There was no wait to get to table and there was no stipulation for my entire party to be present at time of seating.
Great experience all they around.
We had a delicious dinner at The Food Market! The service was friendly, the restaurant was clean, and everything we tried was delicious. We had the mozzarella sticks, lobster fingers, crab cake and shrimp salad sandwich, and the bread and butter sea bass. The drinks were delicious too - WASP and Danny Trejo. Everything was awesome!
The food was delicious. Loved the menu and reasonable prices. My waiter, Andy, was great. He was very attentive and gave off great energy. Will definitely revisit!
The food was excellent. There was something for everyone. I really loved the decor and the rustic chic atmosphere. Would recommend and would definitely go again.
Burger was overcooked and on a brioche bun. Advertised as sesame.
The service section needs significant upgrading, I had a reservation, showed up early and couldn’t be seated on time even though there was open seats
Great spot for brunch. Our server was attentive without being overly intrusive.
Food was excellent. And service was awesome?!
