Food was wonderful, server was very good!
Staff was all very friendly. Food was excellent, both from restaurant week menu and regular menu. Very accommodating of food allergies as well!
Your chairs and tables are to small and chairs are to hard.
We decided to do our first wedding anniversary dinner here as we live in the area and had loved our previous brunch experience at the Food Market. Each staff member we interacted with was helpful and friendly, and made the evening a memorable one with special little touches like a card and candle on our dessert.
Fantastic food but no way you can hold reasonable level conversation in the dining room. But that food....
I would recommend this restaurant's menu to friends but would feel the need to point out the noise level and suggest a less energetic atmosphere. The restaurant even on a Wednesday evening was extremely loud making dinner conversation difficult. However, the food was good and the menu had many interesting items to choose from. Our waiter was pleasant and good at his job. Valet parking worked like a charm. Our reservation went smoothly and we liked where we were seated. However, due to the noise level, I myself will probably not be a return customer.
The waiter was a bit nonchalant and patronizing. I was most disappointed in the lamb bowl entree because the description in the menu was so deficient. It only stated Lamb bowl and what the ingredients were but no mention whatsoever that it was a ground lamb patty/burger and not peices of actual lamb meat as a normal person would expect reading the description. I found an undercooked ground lamb patty just wasn't good and totally didn't work in a bowl. Also note for anyone on a restricted diet that there are no gluten free pasta, grain, or bread alternatives, just entrees that may be gluten free.
Restaurant week prices were amazing
The menu options are very inventive and provide a wide range to choose from as a new or returning customer.
Great service, excellent delicious food. Strong and tasty drinks. Lighting was a bit too dim for me. A little loud but it was a sat night fully packed house.
This was my second visit to this great restaurant and it does not disappoint. My server was James, he was awesome. I took advantage of the restaurant week menu as it had a wonderful variety. I was truly tantalized by the food. I had the bacon wrapped scallops, short ribs, and bread pudding. Every item was over the moon, cannot say enough about the flavors. I highly recommend.
We went here for a girls night during restaurant week and we had such a great time! We didn't feel rushed and really enjoyed ourselves. The food was fantastic and we can't wait to go back!
Incredible food and a laid back atmosphere. We love this place!
AWESOME sauce!!!!! My 1st of many visits, the staff was GREAT. Everyone was very accommodating, i enjoyed the entire experience.
Jermaine was the best waiter. We loved our whole experience!!
Loved our server!!!
This was my second time dining at The Food Market, and the overall experience, food, and value was very good. The Bohemian Raspberry cocktail, bacon wrapped scallops, and cheesecake were TO DIE FOR. However, the noise level in the restaurant was so high that it made conversation among the four of us difficult without shouting. I ordered the Wild Salmon and was surprised to find the center of my filet was completely raw- unlike my mother's filet. I asked the server if this was safe to eat, and he assured me that it was and that they prepare their salmon medium rare. I wish this had been mentioned on the Baltimore Restaurant Week menu, or that my server had warned me about the preparation, since that is not what I was anticipating. I have never received such a raw piece of salmon at any restaurant, and took the center of my filet home to cook it and enjoy later. It was an excellent, and very flavorful piece of fish, and I really enjoyed it once I cooked it!
Great service, great food, a little noisy, and you can see thru the doors of the restrooms, shadows of action.
Food is always good here. It gets crowded so make a reservation ahead is essential. Both the tacos and bacon wrapped scallops were nicely flavored with a kick. The brisket was outstanding. Tender and tasty.
The service was outstanding! Brandy, our server was very helpful with the menu to accommodate my food allergies. My only issue is always the noise level is too high. I don’t enjoy nearly yelling to have a conversation.
Excellent innovative food. Way too noisy on a busy night
As always, the meal was delicious! We came for restaurant week, but also ordered the tillamook crab dip for the table. Phenomenal! The cocktail I ordered, O Willie, was also very tasty. Bacon wrapped scallops for appetizer, good. Short rib with potato salad for dinner, AMAZING. As was the fried chicken I stole a bite of from my friend. I was a little disappointed that the half baked blondie was on the dessert menu, but I guess I can switch it up for once :) whipped cheesecake was a creative, trifle-like dish.
Only complaint was the the description of the Spiced Lamb Bowl. It sounded like it was bits of lamb on a bed of couscous. Wasn't expecting a lamb burger on a bowl of couscous. While flavors were good, it was a little disappointing since it was so unexpected. Plus it it hard to cut a lamb burger in a bowl.
Restaurant week this week and thus there was great deals
Even during restaurant week this place keeps the food and service quality high. Great night
Fantastic food and service much too noisy! tables too close together. Vala parking great.
Everything was great. We ordered many appetizers and small dishes as our meal and were not disappointed. I highly recommend the cracker smack!
The service and the food were amazing. We love to come here for date night. We are so much we had to go walking before we drove all the way back home.
Delicious food and drinks. Bar service a bit slow but worth the wait. Tables too close together though.
The place is so cool. The food is amazing. I highly recommend the Lazy French Toast. The servers are the sweetest.
I would absolutely recommend The Food Market to anyone. We have been there several times, this time for our son's 22nd birthday. The menu always has much to choose from. I tried the battered pickles this time which were a great appetizer. The Penthouse Salad is soooooo good! Our daughter is a vegetarian and there were ample choices on the menu to satisfy her.
You have to get the Lobster box! It's a must!!!
Each time I come back here I like the food more and more. Pretzel and beer cheese are a must and the duck entree was excellent. Service has never been bad but our server this most recent visit, Jermaine, was particularly good
Delicious food as always and great service. Always a good experience
The Food Market is our favorite restaurant in Baltimore! Always a great experience and an amazing meal. The menu is inventive, the food is always delicious and the service is great. Will continue to recommend to anyone looking for a great and casual dining experience.
The very best restaurant in Baltimore. The end.
