   I had a very mixed experience here… the food in general was good and my server was pleasant. However the time to get food was unacceptable… a simple order of bread took 30 minutes. There was no coordination between my server and kitchen… I understand if kitchen is backed up but bread??!!… no reason that can’t come out in reasonable time … then everything appetizer and entree came at once … I sent back entree not wanting to eat cold salmon by the time I finished app…. Some things like this were just bad … but taste once I eventually got it was overall good especially salmon

   Just a wonderful experience! The atmosphere is so welcoming and the food was excellent! Our server Cherry was the best and made our date night special! The bar takes mixology very seriously as well. Just a must for a great experience!!! Can’t believe they’ve been in the city since 1883! THANK YOU!

   We were so pleased to find this venue on our last night in San Fran. Great selection of tasty food (equal vegetarian to non vegetarian which was a real treat). Lovely cocktails and good wine selection. Exceptional service.

   Disappointed it was a step above an Applebees.. not what I expected but live and learn, again. Whatever reviews I must have read weren’t from trained diners. Uncomfortable seating to blah food. More like a bar than restaurant.

   Everything was great except for slow drink service. Then the waiter made a comment about tip which I thought was classless and unprofessional. Wanted to go back again before dinner was even over to try other things on the menu but the server left a poor memory and taste in my mouth

   During our visit, the service felt noticeably rushed, which took away from the overall experience. We understand that busy times can lead to unexpected challenges, but for a restaurant of this caliber, we expected a little more preparation to handle the rush. The hurried service made us feel somewhat overlooked, leaving us wanting more attentive care throughout our meal. Additionally, it was disappointing that our birthday celebration went unacknowledged. Recognizing special occasions can make a dining experience feel even more memorable, and this oversight added to the feeling of being undervalued. Despite these hiccups, everything else was fine. The ambiance was pleasant, and the food was enjoyable, which gives us hope for a better experience on our next visit. With some improvements in service and a greater focus on special moments, The Fly Trap could truly shine as a top-tier dining destination.

   We came as a group of 9 and ordered a variety of small and large plates, plus drinks and dessert. Every single bite was absolutely delicious. The place is such a vibe. Highly recommend.
