Our experience at The Flight Deck overall was pretty good. The food value was great! We got a ton of food for the price. Unfortunately it was a bit bland. The nachos are a meal all by themselves! The service was above average. Our waitress was really good and patient with 6 undiciplined adults. A bit loud and echoed some, but not terrible. Bad weather day so we didn't get to watch the skydivers ... Bummer! Overall, I'd recommend it, an go back myself, but not go out of my way to do so.

We got together this year for Christmas with our kids who live in the Chicago suburbs. The food was outstanding and our server was great. We will probably do this again next year as our experience was so positive. We would like to try it in the spring, summer, or fall when we can see some skydiving!

Service was good, but the food was just okay. There were 7 of us in our party, and only one of us was happy with our food. We enjoyed the nice weather and sat outside and watched the skydivers.

Food and atmosphere are both equally awesome! You are literally right on the runway of the airport and you get to watch and/or participate in skydiving!!

We had a 6:30 reservation and at 6:45 they shut down the kitchen. They could not keep up with the orders. Didn't get our dinner until 8:40 pm. Couldn't get a drink from the bar either. This has happened to us before on the Fourth of July. We will not go back.

It was a beautiful summer Saturday and the Skydivers from next door were dropping onto the field directly in front of us. Such a treat! The food and drinks were delicious and our waitress didn't rush us off. All in all, a memorable birthday celebration for my (adult) son.

We loved sitting outside and had the pleasure of seeing 3 flights take off and witnessed about 3 dozen jumpers. Beautiful evening to be outdoors with blue skies, good food, and great friends.

It usually gets very busy, so besides a reservation, calling ahead to place your order is a good idea, except the menu has changed, but not on the website (as of beginning of July) and you don't find it out until you call. This is problematic when you have your

I wouldn't recommend using open table for reservations, they never got it. Luckily they were able to find us a table.

I completed my 5th tandem skydive at Chicagoland Skydiving Center Rochelle, IL & made reservations for 12 people at the Flight Deck Bar & Grill to celebrate after. The service was amazing, the food was incredible, & they even held our table reservation 15 minutes longer than I scheduled so that I could finish wrapping up my jump.

We all traveled an hour to get there, and it was worth the drive! Highly recommend it even if you are not skydiving. You can get an amazing view of the skydivers from the safety of the ground & with amazing food and drinks. The pulled pork sliders, bomber wings, & burgers were among our top favorites.

It was a large group, & the Flight Deck accommodated all of us with ease on a busy holiday weekend. The food, the view, & the people are the best!

Great place to watch skydiving while you eat!! Nice outdoor patio area. Food & drinks were good. Casual dining.

Everything great but music too loud!! Could not hear family across from us at booth.

I had the fish special on Friday. The fish was not good at all

We flew in for a dinner date night and the food was amazing! The only downfall was we made reservations prior to taking flight from Cedar Rapids, Iowa, when we got there they didn't have our reservations at the hostess booth and were afraid there would be no seating since a 20+ party was getting there at the same time. After we got seated though, our waiter and the food were both amazing, we even got the apple dessert. We will be back for sure! :)

Very good food, excellent service. We are aviation professionals and very much enjoyed the aviation / skydiving theme. Would recommend this to anyone for any reason.

We met our Adult children for our Christmas get together. It was half way between Geneva and Princeton. The food and service were great. It had to be the coldest day of the year, but since we were almost the only people there, it was great to visit and have a good time. We would love to come back when the weather was better and watch the skydivers. Thanks.

It was very nice. We met with family from out of town and had a great time. The food was delicious, and the service was great. The only thing that was a slight problem was that it was very warm in there, (the heat had just turned on) , but after a little while it was turned lower and all was fine.

They did not have a record of our reservation, but they accommodated us right away; on a busy night. We had a fundraising voucher for a free appetizer, which the server failed apply to our tab. We didn't notice until we were home and looked at the receipt. The manager was very pleasant and interested in our dining experience. The live music was nice for the ambiance.

It was cloudy so the parachute jumpers were not out. Was hoping for that to be going on like last time I was there.

It was my Dad's birthday, and the sibs. and I wanted a place to take him that was fun, we could talk and enjoy seeing each other. We loved The Flight Deck. Very fun seeing the skydivers dropping :) And we loved the live music -- very good guitar player and singer. He even sang Happy Birthday to my Dad, and the wait staff brought him a birthday brownie w/ice cream on top! We had such a great time!

Always a good time - hostess seemed a little new and confused but our waitress was the best. Was hoping for a fish fry on Friday night and there wasn't one, but other choices were great.

Cool place on local airfield with parachuting going on. Sit in the patio and watch jumpers and planes coming and going. Service can be slow / spotty, food otherwise good.

We specifically went to see the sky diving, but the entire visit was great! Each of us ordered something different for lunch, and we all loved the food! Service was rather slow, but we didn't really care. We moved outdoors to a covered table and enjoyed many groups of skydivers! It was a great day, and as a bonus, our receipts included a $5.00 coupon for our next visit. Can't wait to go back!

The food was great and so was the server but the restaurant did *not* have my reservation through Open Table. I will not use Open Table again. It was rainy so the restaurant was not very busy because nobody did skydiving. Had it been busy, without a functional reservation, I doubt the restaurant would have been able to find an open table.

Next time, I will call the restaurant directly for a reservation and not use Open Table.

When we arrived the hostess said the computer was down and they did not have any of the online reservations. We waited about 20 minutes in a crowded restaurant with no place even to stand and wait. Our food took two hours to get and was cold when we finally did get it. The waiter was nice but had too many tables both inside the restaurant and outside.

This was my 4th trip to the Flight Deck. I received a notification by email about specials for the 4th. It looked fun so I made a reservation on-line. When I got there, they did not have my reservation. I was told "Internet was working." I told them I did not make the reservation that day. The told me they had not been coming through for quite some time and several people had shown up for which they did not have their reservation. They did seat us fairly quickly, but we were told the kitchen was "on hold" and they could not take our order. The waitress seemed afraid of the cook. She did take our drink order. After inquiring on two occasions as to whether she could take our order (and being told no) we talked about going somewhere else because we were hungry. She then brought us some chips to munch on while we waited. After 30 or so minutes she came and took our order. It took another 30 minutes or so for the food to come. I did not see or hear anything from the waitress about any food or drink specials as promised. We happened to know the people we were seated by (same town). They had a large group with children. After 2 hours they still had not received their food, their children were hungry and tired and they looked stressed. Being so well advertised, I was amazed how unprepared they were for the turnout they received. Oh, and when we walked back to our car, there was someone sitting on their tailgate waiting for a pizza to be delivered from an area restaurant. They had given up, but apparently wanted to stay for the fireworks.

great place to view skydiving on the july 4th weekend. overcrowded but very nice. We will return.
Only problem was that they did not receive the reservation. They did find us space in a very very busy weekend and for that I am grateful.

The front manager was awesome and the owner is super friendly. We love going here. Besides the great service, the food is wonderful.

Surprised there wasn't a fish fry on Friday night. My first choice wasn't available by 6 pm.

My wife and I took my father for his 89th b-day for the skydiving view while we ate. It was an interesting place to the eye. The problem was the food and service on an occasion that was not busy. We ordered onion rings that never arrived. The chicken had a crust like the surface of the moon. The baked potato must have been quadruple baked. The asparagus did not arrive with the meal and, following pointing this out, was indistinguishable from bamboo. Despite pointing these matter out to the waitress quietly there was no real response. The food experience was awful. If it is a sandwich place they should simply limit the menu to that.

I did not press the matter as the occasion for my dad would have made things very awkward.
