Fun! Very excellent drinks and music!
So disappointed. Space is beautiful but the service is so awkward I found myself embarrassed for the staff. Too many things wrong to name them all. Bummed because I was really looking forward to loving it.
I had a great time at the The Flat Iron Room. The decor, the ambiance, service, and music were excellent. I will return!
Awesome service and food!!! Especially loved the presentation on the smoked fried chicken!
This is an excellent place with a great ambience and amazing food.
My husband’s favorite restaurant in the city. Great collection of wisky and outstanding cocktails too.
Delicious cocktails, amazing food, great service, lovely ambiance, wonderful jazz! Loved it! Only downside was that they don't offer coffee of any kind, which is really disappointing when you're looking forward to some with dessert.
I've been there a number of times and love the ambiance, decor, drinks and food, BUT the front of house staff attitude is always not the best. We were running just over 15min late and couldn't answer the phone when they called us as we were stuck underground on the subway. So, after turning up 17min late, were told our table was given away, which is understandable. They told us they'll see what they can do and maybe find us another table, in about 5-10min. We waited almost 30min for a standing spot at their high table in the middle, which is kind of fine, BUT they had almost all tables free at the front till the time we had to leave. I'm sure they had reservations but looks like not till later in the night. So they easily could have given us a proper table and tell us we have a time limit, which we had anyway, as we had to be at dinner elsewhere. Just not great service, I'm sorry. So I had to stand in heels for 1.5hrs with sore back, while they had at least 5-6 tables empty in front of their jazz band, who I'm sure would have also appreciated the audience close in front of them.
Great music, great ambience I always enjoy this place time and time again it never disappoints.
It's a very nice quaint place. The show was great and the selection of whiskey was awesome. I look forward to going back again.
Overpriced bad food, lousy service and , on top, included 20% gratuity in the bill. Outrageous! !
Always love coming to the flat iron! Great drinks, great food, great music!
Great experience nice food excellent music with Brandi Disterheft we'll come back every time we'll be in NYC
Thoroughly enjoyed the different flights we tried!! The fried chicken and steak chimichirri were amazing!!!
Very cozy and romantic vibe. Great service and food!
Highly recommended experience. The ambiance is great. Amazing selection of whiskey and other liquors and the food is pretty tasty.
A bucket list type experience. Only wish I had the time and money to go back, over and over. Classic NY dining space, tiny cocktail bar tables, very nice and helpful team, with reasonably good knowledge of the vast collection of spirits they offer. But I did have to ask for whisky to be poured into Glencairn glasses. The night we were there, they had a cool jazz trio, and that also added a lot to the experience.
Great selection and the whisky flights were amazing
A wonderful evening in every way.
We were so pleased with our experience at the Flatiron Room. My daughter recommended it and everything was just superb. I will plan to go there again and ring accolades for this great place
It was an amazing experience. Music was great and the server was super attentive and professional. The food was very good as well. I strongly recommend it.
Great music. Interesting food and specialty drinks!
Quaint little restaurant with a live band playing on a small stage. I liked my drink and food and would be back if I’m in the area. Someone in my party had a salad which they hated, but no complaints from anyone else. Service was great as well.
This is a very cool, swanky place to get drinks or dinner or both! The live music is great but unlike other jazz clubs in the city, the band is more background ambiance than the main event. We started with a cheese and meat plate that was true perfection! Our meals were also very good - we had the 12 oz steak, cod cakes and Brussel sprouts (THE BEST!) The cocktails are DELISH! I highly recommend the Black Magic - with pineapple and red pepper infused vodka! Great time! We'll be back!
A wonderful evening. Great music and food. Good place for special occasions.
Great music, place, drinks and ambience. The food was average, not that good.
A great combination of fine music, exceptional drinks and good food.
This is a great place to listen to live jazz while also being able to have a conversation with your guests. The music was nice, two different groups over the span of a Saturday evening gave a nice mix of styles. The food was good. But the whiskey selection was truly amazing. They have over 700 different whiskeys from the U.S. and all over the world, including limited releases and independent bottler editions. Our waiter was very knowledgeable about many of the whiskeys and when I stumped him, he went and found someone who had tasted the one I was asking about.
Dfty goin back
I went for dinner and it was excellent. There's a great variety of drinks and the staff is knowledgeable about how they're made, the taste varieties, etc. The food is delicious and pairs well with the drinks. I look forward to going again. Highly recommend!
Great music and food was very good. Great atmosphere. Cheapest bottle of wine was $60 which is quite insane. It is what it is though and it is New York.
Although everyone was pleasant the atmosphere was definitely for a bar vibe only. It was SO loud we couldn’t hear one another & so dark we could barely read the menu & the food wasn’t consistent with the menu descriptions.
The food and the service were really terrible
The live music increased the overall experience
Wonderful place to listen to live music and enjoy a drink. We only tried the dessert, but main dishes looked amazing. Will definitely come back. Outstanding service from the host to the waiters. Worth waiting, but try to make a reservation.
Surprise Birthday Celebration. Staff were great in not blowing up the surprise, everything was amazing. Drinks could use more alcohol for the price they charge for them to be honest, they were very weak, food was good, service was excellent, music was perfect.
Great spot for a Friday night out for drinks with friends. Great whiskey selection and good live jazz. We had a great time and will be back.
My wife and I really enjoyed our evening at the Flatiron Room. The food and drinks were good and the ambiance was nice. The only negative we felt was that the portions of their “Large Plates” were a little small. Otherwise we had great date nite.
The Flatiron Room is in high demand but the staff bend over backwards to make you feel welcome and the service is very attentive. Fabulous atmosphere and drinks, good food and top flight entertainment- highly recommend!
Great, relaxing, music venue/atmosphere. Friendly service with great food. We missed the show due to a previous commitment, but will return next time in NYC.
overpriced for mediocre food. live music was great, but people bringing toddlers to a nighclub environment made the music unimportant and difficult to enjoy. The food was poor quality: cod cakes were really cod fritters (deep fried fish without any flavor), flatbread was yummy, but not worth the money they charged ($24 for a pizza slice), gumbo was ok (vegetarian and vegan), hangar steak was cooked perfectly but lacked seasoning. I would go elsewhere for better food and the same prices in Manhattan.
