The Fishery Restaurant & Market is located just a few blocks from the ocean in North Pacific Beach.
The restaurant menu reflects ‘coastal cuisine’ with a simple yet serious focus on the best our coastal fisheries and local farms have to offer. The passion that drives Chef Mike Reidy is evidenced by flavors that can only be achieved using ingredients at their peak of seasonality and freshness.
The Fishery was awarded the prestigious Award of Excellence for its Wine List from Wine Spectator in 2018- Present. Our wine list is inspired by the great wines of Europe and their American counterparts and we strive to showcase real, natural, food friendly-wines with a sense of place.
The Fishery Market showcases fresh fish, prepared seafood, salads, sauces and marinades.

Excellent food, easy walking from Pacific Beach area.
We keep coming back here mostly for one dish - macadamia crusted halibut with potatoes. We also got two desserts - chocolate mousse and the pavlova, and both were excellent. The only minor negative was that the heat lamps in the ceiling outside were too hot and there was apparently no way to turn them down individually. We can live with that.
Lauren our server was fantastic. Had a delicious bottle of white from Italy and the Alaskan halibut crusted macadamia dish. The sauce within the dish was on point and the fingerling potatoes were a perfect side item. Best restaurant in PB.
This place is a gem and we go there about once a week. Fresh seafood with a creative chef. Reasonable prices and a good size wine list. They expanded the outdoor area now and did a great job. Highly recommend it.
Mother’s Day stop. Food was amazing, every dish was thoroughly enjoyed. Just like everyone else right now, they were understaffed. Our waiter Ian was very present and genuine. Front of the house members were less than engaging, but I’m sure they were swamped. The drinks were fine, not necessarily overpriced but underwhelming. Would definitely go back for the grub though.
Every dish was prepared perfectly and the cocktails were spot on. Great place for date night or families.
No frills excellent food. Appetizer to dessert was delicious and pretty.
Mother’s Day was super special. The service was great, the food was excellent. Best crab eggs Benedict I’ve ever had. The whole fam was impressed.
Food was delicious. Staff very attentive and nice. Very good service. We had brunch and enjoyed every bite!
Overall it was average. Nothing noticeably over expectations.
Split the Petite Tier for an appetizer, nice presentation and good flavors. Had the Fish & Chips, it was good but less chips and more fish would be better. Cole slaw needs help, purple cabbage with some vinegar not what I imagined at all. Took Mum for Mothers Day not a fan. Dined there last month with my wife we enjoyed it much more the last time.
This place sure has more than enough staff, so trying to enjoy a meal is a battle to see how many times one can say, “Still eating, thank you.” Made the mistake of agreeing with the buss boy that I’d love to have more bread to soak up the clam juice. 15 minutes and $5 later ...
Let’s just say a meal here is way overpriced for a nice, neighborhood restaurant.
New chefs after Covid now. Super fantastic. Had half n half raw oysters; small but nice and briny. Calamari was fried perfectly w/the perfect zing to it. Sushi was fresh and light. All in all Best dinner I've had in a year and I eat out everyday. 🥳 every course was a taste party in my mouth.
The Fishery consistently ranks as one of the TOP seafood restaurants in San Diego. Their fish is always fresh and tasty. Top of the list on their menu is the Macadamia Crusted Alaska Halibut, surrounded by a creme fraiche butter.
If you don't feel that's the best dish you've ever had, send me the bill and I'll reimburse you. No, really! I've never lied to you before and I'm not lying to you now.
Sat outside late evening, nice table with heat lamps. Had macadamia crusted halibut and swordfish with tomato caponata, both were cooked perfect and flavorful .
We are regulars at the Fishery. I had a beautiful spring salad on Thursday evening the dressing was bright and fresh and my husband loved the ceviche...
My only wish is for a vegetarian/vegan entree... I'd love to see what chef Mike creates
Thank you for all the deliciousness and perfect service.
Amazing food, drinks, and service. What can't they do?
Always a delightful experience at the Fishery! Gold Star!
So happy the new chef is in our neighborhood!!! Every dish was delicious and our server Priscilla was phenomenal! We ordered mussels, crudo, shrimp and crab pastaaaa was so good (perfectly paired with chablis style Chardonnay) and the stuffed squid/squid ink risotto.. absolutely delicious and delicate. Can’t wait to come back!
It’s was very cute!! And was nice to dress up, go on a double date and meet new friends! But it’s not a table cloth type of restaurant.
The food and service was excellent! They have done their best to create outdoor dining and it was acceptable to be able to dine outside. Good experience overall!
Always our favorite for date night.
Prices have increased post covid but so have food costs.
Very pricy for small portions. For 2 of us for dinner, 2 starters and 2 main courses, no wine $166.
Chef Mike, Daniel & Noah are gods coming from the Ocean.
Great service, fantastic food, nice ambience. Was really impressed by the menu and each dish I tasted was prepared perfectly. Will be back!
Had a great experience. Our server was very friendly and on point. The oysters (Washington) were small yet very tasty! I had the scallops as a main dish and wasn’t disappointed. Will be back again soon.
Well worth a visit! My wife and I just had our first visit here and we loved it. Great food and service. Very reasonably priced for what you are getting.
Great service fantastic food
Great fish! Well prepared not dry. Good ambiance.
The food was great! The drinks were super good. I loved the mule I got. The steamer linguini was fabulous.
We e always loved the Fishery and were glad to be able to safely eat inside
Fish tacos were disappointing. Fish overcooked and was chewy. The tortillas fall apart after first bite. But the wine was good!
I ordered the halibut tacos. I was disappointed when they arrived deep fried. The ceviche was better.
Incredible service, wonderful food (had to get a second calamari as it was out of the world good) in a very pleasant outdoor dining area. Definitely looking forward to my next meal there
Great experience - got seated quickly with our reservation and our waiter was super friendly and accommodating. Our friend got the opah burger and he was raving about it all dinner! The clam chowder was to die for as well! Definitely coming back more frequently!
The Fishery is excellent. The portion sizes are generous and the food is delicious. They have a fun craft cocktail menu. Our waitress helped us pick from the menu and did not disappoint!
Absolutely delicious... we shared the sushi rolls, crab cakes, calamari, and spring salad. Every dish was fabulous. Service was friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommend!
We have been dining and buying fresh fish here for years. Food is always excellent, and is even better with their new chef. Be sure to try the scallops - the preparation changes frequently and is always very delicious. The staff is very welcoming and friendly.
Wow. The food was amazing.
Ceviche was excellent. Poke was out the of sight good.
Definitely a great place to eat.
The restaurant is a bit loud.
I really enjoyed eating here. I’ll definitely be back.
Excellent food always. Fresh, outstanding cuisine. I especially like the ceviche.
Inside can get a little noisy.
