The restaurant menu reflects ‘coastal cuisine’ with a simple yet serious focus on the best our coastal fisheries and local farms have to offer. The passion that drives Chef Mike Reidy is evidenced by flavors that can only be achieved using ingredients at their peak of seasonality and freshness.

Sat outside late evening, nice table with heat lamps. Had macadamia crusted halibut and swordfish with tomato caponata, both were cooked perfect and flavorful .
We are regulars at the Fishery. I had a beautiful spring salad on Thursday evening the dressing was bright and fresh and my husband loved the ceviche...
My only wish is for a vegetarian/vegan entree... I'd love to see what chef Mike creates
Thank you for all the deliciousness and perfect service.
Amazing food, drinks, and service. What can't they do?
Always a delightful experience at the Fishery! Gold Star!
So happy the new chef is in our neighborhood!!! Every dish was delicious and our server Priscilla was phenomenal! We ordered mussels, crudo, shrimp and crab pastaaaa was so good (perfectly paired with chablis style Chardonnay) and the stuffed squid/squid ink risotto.. absolutely delicious and delicate. Can’t wait to come back!
It’s was very cute!! And was nice to dress up, go on a double date and meet new friends! But it’s not a table cloth type of restaurant.
The food and service was excellent! They have done their best to create outdoor dining and it was acceptable to be able to dine outside. Good experience overall!
Always our favorite for date night.
Prices have increased post covid but so have food costs.
Very pricy for small portions. For 2 of us for dinner, 2 starters and 2 main courses, no wine $166.
Chef Mike, Daniel & Noah are gods coming from the Ocean.
Great service, fantastic food, nice ambience. Was really impressed by the menu and each dish I tasted was prepared perfectly. Will be back!
Had a great experience. Our server was very friendly and on point. The oysters (Washington) were small yet very tasty! I had the scallops as a main dish and wasn’t disappointed. Will be back again soon.
Well worth a visit! My wife and I just had our first visit here and we loved it. Great food and service. Very reasonably priced for what you are getting.
Great service fantastic food
Great fish! Well prepared not dry. Good ambiance.
The food was great! The drinks were super good. I loved the mule I got. The steamer linguini was fabulous.
We e always loved the Fishery and were glad to be able to safely eat inside
Fish tacos were disappointing. Fish overcooked and was chewy. The tortillas fall apart after first bite. But the wine was good!
I ordered the halibut tacos. I was disappointed when they arrived deep fried. The ceviche was better.
Incredible service, wonderful food (had to get a second calamari as it was out of the world good) in a very pleasant outdoor dining area. Definitely looking forward to my next meal there
Great experience - got seated quickly with our reservation and our waiter was super friendly and accommodating. Our friend got the opah burger and he was raving about it all dinner! The clam chowder was to die for as well! Definitely coming back more frequently!
The Fishery is excellent. The portion sizes are generous and the food is delicious. They have a fun craft cocktail menu. Our waitress helped us pick from the menu and did not disappoint!
Absolutely delicious... we shared the sushi rolls, crab cakes, calamari, and spring salad. Every dish was fabulous. Service was friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommend!
We have been dining and buying fresh fish here for years. Food is always excellent, and is even better with their new chef. Be sure to try the scallops - the preparation changes frequently and is always very delicious. The staff is very welcoming and friendly.
Wow. The food was amazing.
Ceviche was excellent. Poke was out the of sight good.
Definitely a great place to eat.
The restaurant is a bit loud.
I really enjoyed eating here. I’ll definitely be back.
Excellent food always. Fresh, outstanding cuisine. I especially like the ceviche.
Inside can get a little noisy.
Bravo to the attention to quality and detail that The Fishery champions. Our server Bethany was a delight; extremely knowledgeable, generous, and made us feel welcome and right at home. Thank you for a wonderful evening!
Great food and customer service. A relaxed and friendly space where you can have a conversation with people at your table.
Best brunch I've had in a long time! Friend and I shared smoked salmon & goat cheese omelette with mixed greens, and shrimp and grits. You can't beat the quality of the seafood here, and the sweet, succulent shrimp were outstanding, as were the grits and tomato/poblano pepper compote that topped it. Absolutely scrumptious!
I'm not a big fan of the wine list at this establishment, or I'd eat here more often.
We were not very happy with the serice. Slow. Had to remind the waiter and the girl he was training on the items we wanted. The Waiter at the time was very pushy and acted like a sales person (his mind was to sell). He's not good with customers.
Also, we asked for Bread and they charged us for 2 pieces. It should have been on the house especially when we ordered $200.00 Diner.
I would not go back nor recommend to anyone. Pricy and not worth it.
First time visit. Fantastic preparation. On my list for future date nights.
Everything e ordered was excellent and had a very friendly, sweet waitress.
This was our first visit to The Fishery and we had an amazing dining experience! The ambiance of the indoor and outdoor seating areas was wonderful. Clean, tables were spaced nicely, outdoor heaters, great bar vibe. For starters, we had the ahi poke, calamari and daily burrata special. All were delicious! Our entrees were the yellowfin tuna and Maine diver scallops. Both very tasty, cooked perfectly and presented beautifully. We finished our meal with the lemon tart and chocolate pot de creme. Highly recommend! We look forward to returning to San Diego and dining at The Fishery again soon!
Food was awful, service was lacking.
I won’t go back soon.
Amazing food, quality service, one of the best restaurants I have been to in San Diego.
Great crab cakes, perfect service, and we could hear one another!
Went for Easter brunch with my mother. The reservation was easy to make, and we got outdoor seating. Our server was great, and everything came out promptly. My mother didn’t love her smoked salmon omelette, but I had the crab Benedict, and it was superb. Staff was incredibly friendly and checked in with us often
Excellent food, excellent service!
Fish is fresh, simple and delicious. Inside is charming, outside is fine- distant enough from the sidewalk- tables a little close to each other front to back but they are expanding their patio. Waitstaff is enthusiastic and helpful.
Didn’t like the drinks/cocktail choices at all. Don’t like fish in drinks. Crab cake was just so-so.
