Excellent service, great garden patio dining. Food was very good to excellent, but some items were overpriced for what they were.
rib eyes, tasteless/leathery, Salads good, crab oscar much too rich, Lamb chops good,
Quiet except for outside noise. Thank goodness for valet parking. Food was good!
food good but would have liked salmon a little more rare and the arzo cooked a minute longer. The taste of food was very good, waiter attentive, Loved patio dining
First time sitting inside in a long time. Everything great and professional. Delicious oysters, and crab (strange vision of carpaccio, though). Service and wine list outstanding. Felt good to be warm while eating for a change...
Waiter was outstanding. Food was terrific. Wine selection is second to none.
We have eaten here at least a dozen times and the food has always been perfect. This time was no exception
Kudos to the wait staff and chef. Keep doing what you are doing!
This is a nice evening out. The bar has always been great although it was closed due to Covid.
The meal was outstanding as usual. Halibut and filet cooked to perfection. Service on this night was a little slow but it's Covid so who cares had a great meal good company with amazing ambiance.
My coworkers and I had a very good experience at this restaurant. The staff was very accommodating to all of our needs and the food was excellent! It was nice to be able to site inside and look out at the patio area. We look forward to coming here again.
Staff was great and food was delicious.
Dining for the first time in the patio at the Firehouse was refreshing. The pork belly appetizer is our favorite , the scallops snapped when you bit into their creamy center. I loved my braised lamb chops, spices. And done with perfection
Celebrated our 50th anniversary here. The food was very good and plentiful. I had the rack of lamb and my husband had the scallops. We shared the pork belly appetizer and the wedge salad. Both were delicious. Our server, Peter, was very knowledgeable and attentive. We received a complementary creme brûlée dessert in recognition of our anniversary. This is a great place to go for a special celebration.
I brought my entire family to Easter Brunch. We ate on the lovely patio. The food and the service was exemplary. Definitely will go again.
Fantastic service as always. Love the patio. Food would have been 5 stars except the pastries and desserts were just okay, just not fabulous like the rest of the meal. Also crab cakes plate was not appealing. Must remember it was a special menu, not regular. Still will be back as always. Love The Firehouse
Great Easter Brunch. Beautiful patio.
Easter with a set menu. Muffins and scones to start were over baked and dry! Starter was focaccia with a cheese spread and slices figs with balsamic reduction. In theory this would be good but in the menu planning it should have been recognized that between the muffin& scones and starter it’s just too much bread!!! When you are paying nearly $60 for a meal it would have been nice to include a non alcoholic beverage coffee, iced tea. Entrees and desserts were very good. Patio is beautiful although as the weather has been nice and COVID restrictions lifted those tents can’t go soon enough. All in all a good Easter meal.
Easter brunch. Scones were burnt on the bottom. Chocolate chip muffins bland. I expected better from their kitchen. We sat under an air vent so my son’s crab cake Benedict got cold before he could finish them. I ordered the New York steak with potatoes and scrambled eggs. The eggs were way too hard. I like them soft and fluffy. The steak was perfectly cooked and was good. My son had hot tea and they didn’t provide him with a spoon to stir in the sweetener. And the little teapot didn’t hold enough water to fill the cup. When he asked for more tea he got more water and no tea bag. He finally got a spoon with dessert. Very disappointed. Will not go there for a holiday brunch again. I will go on other special occasions as I have in the past when it’s always been outstanding.
Easter brunch. Haven’t been to Firehouse in years. Excellent food, service and ambiance. Will be back soon and glad they made it through the pandemic.
All around an exceptional experience as always at the Firehouse
Enjoyed every detail of Easter Brunch. Seated immediately on the patio. LOVED our table. Attentive server who didn't rush us but checked in at the right time. Food was better than ever. Carrot cake dessert knocked it out of the park. LOVED the hospitality.
Clientele is a little stiff/pretentious. I was having some fun with the waiter and we were both laughing and it seemed like laughter was not allowed there based on how many table turned their heads to see what that noise(laughter) was. Outstanding service, food was just ok, the bruschetta was phenomenal but our main dishes fell flat (Crab Benedict/Ny Steak and eggs), the scrambled eggs looked like they came out of a McDonalds Big Breakfast with some red pepper sprinkled in.
We are long time fans of the Firehouse, and have enjoyed their special occasion brunched many times. This Easter brunch was excellent as always, and out side on thier patio is what makes Sac so special.
I had a guest with with me we wanted for hours and I missed two two dishes! I spent a load of money being ripped off and I had a zillion waiters I have worked at 4 star restaurants I had never had to beg to be fed
Lovely environment, excellent food and service!
Very nice environment! Service the best! Food was very good, but beware of the cocktails, $25 for one was ridiculous. Firehouse is a very good place for a very special occasion!
The potatoes for the crab cake breakfast were not that tender. Needed some seasoning too.
Exquisite dining experience. Quiet as expected but maybe moreso d/t covid regulation for distancing with reduced indoor seating capacity. Workers very attentive. Food portion great for the price. Would highly recommend especially for special occassions and a desire for an elegant athmosphere.
Pork chop was a little over cooked but overall the experience was good
The Firehouse is always a classic dining experience and this was no exception. The service was attentive without being interruptive. I had the filet mignon - cooked perfectly! - and my husband had the swordfish - good, not fabulous but good. The gem wedge is a must have along with the crab bisque as starters. It was our anniversary and they presented a declicious creme brulee with a chocolate anniversary message. We dine on the patio which is Pandemic friendly with heat lamps for comfort.
Great customer service but the food was under salted and not to previous experiences held previously at Firehouse
Wonderful for and great service! Definitely worth every penny!
My first time at Firehoyse old sac with my family was a total success. Our server, Andrei, was lively and personable. He was very knowledgeable of the wines and house cocktails, and we were very happy with how each pairing tasted with the meal. We all ordered the Mario’s 50th Anniversary tasting menu and each course was better than the last. The caviar and oysters were refreshing, the foi gras was rich and tender, the filet mignon melted in your mouth while the cheese’s we sharp and creamy. The creme brûlée was delicous as well and all in all we had a great time celebrating a birthday and felt right at home by our waiter and staff. The ambience was great and the outdoor seating of the restaurant was nicely decorated it felt like being in a European outdoor courtyard. We will defiantly return for our next special occasion soon 10/10 glad we found this iconic sac gem!
The Firehouse always has a great menu. The service is very attentive. Drinks are made strong. A great night out.
Quite disappointed
Service was ok
But the food was definitely not fresh , seem the food was reheated. Not sure why there is such a high rating for such a mediocre restaurant.
Our server Kordt was excellent
Delicious food, great service, nice outdoor dining space.
I was there for my birthday and had a great time. Excellent service. Great food, and good times.
This is the first time we have gone to the Firehouse in 5 years that we had a poor experience. We were celebrating my belated birthday (1-17) and a special wedding anniversary 36 years. We were seated at a table in the entry hall. People seated after us received service before us. In October we celebrated our first date anniversary, sat outside, and had wonderful service and with an acknowledgement of our celebration with a dessert and Happy Anniversary. There was no special treatment. Had to request our amuse boche. My gem wedge salad was great, the crab bisque was so watery and tasted very fishy. Our entrees were wonderful as usual. Just sad that this may be our last time celebrating our milestone special occasions.
Great meal. Good service. A quaint, quiet place to dine.
The outdoor dining patio was beautiful and the service was exceptional. As far as the food, be prepared to fall in love. Oysters, snow crab claws, mushroom gnocchi starters and then the scallop dinner. Finished with the Grand Marnier souffle and their creme brulee. Every bite was a moment of delight and delicious taste sensation.
