Overall, the food wasn’t great for the price paid. Service was good.
Beautiful and peaceful setting along with the great food.
Our meal was outstanding, but the service was over the top!! Nothing's better than having a great meal with good friends, Firehouse just made the evening even more special.
This was our first visit to the Firehouse, celebrating a birthday. I couldn't have enjoyed it more. The service was five star, food five star and ambience, five star!
All around great environment, we were socially distant from other tables, we felt very safe! Servers were all quite impeccable.
The Duck appetizer was our favorite along with Asparagus Soup! Wow, what a menu!
We felt very special the entire time we were there and got to enjoy the rich beauty of the historic building itself.
I can't wait to return to the Firehouse Steakhouse!
Great time for our anniversary dinner ! Waiter provided excellent service
Outstanding meal and service. Attention to detail. We highly recommend.
We held a birthday dinner here. It was a party of 8 and they were very accommodating. I had the asparagus bisque which was quite nice and flavored well. I also had the gnocchi which was flavorful as well. Other dishes at the table that people raved about were the sea bass and filet mignon. I was also very pleased that the corkage fee for the magnum we brought was the same as a 750 ml bottle (only $25). If we're in the area again I'd stop by again and would recommend it.
Beautiful courtyard!!! Great service! Good food!!
I had the chilean Sea Bass. Always my favorite. My companion had Rack of lamb. True perfection.
Food was amazing and the staff was excellent and very friendly. Great date night out kid free!
Great outdoor courtyard seating during the pandemic.
The atmosphere on the patio was very nice. We were seated by the alley though and unfortunately the restaurant behind was blasting their music. Service was great. Food was ok. Definitely didn't live up to the prices. I was expecting everything to taste amazing, but it was just okay. The beef carpaccio was VERY salty, the tomato burrata salad had no flavor and my pappardelle was also under seasoned. It was nice to to get out during COVID and feel a little normalcy for a while!
We had the oysters, stone fruit salad, scallops, duckling, blueberry tart and orange creme brulee. ALL GREAT!
The Firehouse has amazing food and excellent staff in a nice environment. We were seated inside adjacent to the patio, and it was the best of both worlds. Our food was, as always, outstanding. It's expensive, but worth it. However, the main dining room is down stairs, so it's not very accessible. I believe there are some tables upstairs, though.
Nice night out with the family. Excellent food and service. The outdoor seating was perfect..
Wife's birthday was made memorable by the staff here at The Firehouse. Service was great (Cort was very attentive), food was amazing! Would recommend to anyone considering.
Love having dinner in the courtyard. Always wondered before pandemic why it was not used before for dinner only lunch
Our server, Megan was amazing in every way and she helped make our 20th wedding anniversary a wonderful evening!
We enjoyed the ambience and the food was so delicious.....we ate every bite!
I highly recommend The Firehouse Restaurant to anyone looking to have a magical time or to anyone who enjoys fine foods!
Courtyard is very nice. Staff efficient and attentive. Tables are properly distant.
The service and attention, the drinks and the food and the ambience were all perfectly wonderful and we would love to go back again real soon.
Fire House has some of the best food in Sacramento. I would recommend Fire House to anyone. Great ambience, Great service and the food is the Star.
Had a wonderful meal and a great time.
Felt very welcomed and well taken care of.
We had a wonderful night. It was our 1st anniversary and a special night. The staff was terrific and the food great and the drinks very nice.
The waiter was very knowledgeable and helpful. Food was amazing.
I had high expectations going in, given the reputation. We were seated right away (with reservation). Seating was perfect distance from others. I felt comfortable and safe...
Service was good to begin with, got water and drinks relatively quickly. Unfortunately, we were served a second-hand cocktail (Firehouse Diamond Fashioned). Didn’t realize until we got the second round and noticed how different it looked and tasted (better the second time around). Didn’t appreciate that.
We also didn’t see our server after our initial order (plates were served by course by the runners). Food was great, to be expected for the reputation and price.
At the end, a busser came by, I asked for our leftovers to be boxed. He took one plate, said okay, then came back with one box and a wine bag. We realized then he had wasted one of our plates :( BUT we let the server know and they cooked the amount we had leftover for us to take which was nice.
Overall would love to return with hopes of slightly better experience. Now know what to look for in cocktails and leftover treatment.
The food had no salt! It was crazy. For the cost of the food it was soooo under seasoned, I couldn't even eat my $65 steak. Even the Crème Brule was bland. Ambience was nice though and service was formal and attentive. If you're coming for a culinary experience, skip it. If you want romance and fanciness, give it a try.
Great food and service as usual. Mario Ortiz is an incredible source of knowledge when it comes to wines.
Happy Hour oysters and martinis on the patio in the beautiful courtyard - just a lovely experience.
Staff are very attentive and friendly however the food is very unseasoned
Great from valet service to welcome and seating in a lovely atmosphere.Oyesters during happy hour were terrific, followed by an excellent dinner.Great presentation of food and continuos good service.Great drinks and an excellent bottle of wine.
It was lovely, and I felt safe. Thank you.
Food was great, service was great. It was an experience I would recommend to anyone
Delicious food and excellent service. Will return again and again
All the above were excellent including the service! Outstanding!
We enjoyed our dinner at The Firehouse. Our reservation was 8:30pm. The only negative thing was that we got our food at 10 pm due to the couple of large groups around us.
it was nice evening with friends and the staff were very cordial and friendly
Great food and service. They followed the rules for COVID
Family get together
Great dining location in Sacramento, have been going for special occasions for over 40 years.
We didn’t like any appetizers on menu so we didn’t order one. My lamb chops were rare. I ordered medium rare. Waitress took lamb chops back and they were still rare. Hated the mint sauce. My husband had a rib eye steak that was chewy. Your website said there was a $20 corkage fee and we were charged $25. Dessert was great and our waitress was excellent. Loved the ambience. Not sure we’re coming back for another try. Maybe after Covid is over.
Hi Claudia, we're sorry you didn't enjoy your time with us and we do hope you'll give us another chance to impress you. We also offer a lovely weekday Happy Hour from 4-6pm which you might enjoy. Additionally, could you please let me know where on our website you saw anything noting a $20 corkage fee rather than the $25 which we charge? I'm looking everywhere on our site and I can't it. Thanks!
