Very nice upscale restaurant. A little pricy, but very elegant. Service was excellent. Very attentive to us.
I would recommend, very large selection of wine.
It was a steakhouse. For me to expect an elevated experience was I guess naive . Good for a steakhouse but overpriced. Waited 30 minutes for a table when I booked a reservation at a specific time. Bar tender is nice. Overall not interested in returning.
Steak was over cooked. Like tasteless charcoal. It didn’t have any pink at all! I had ordered medium My wife got the same thing. I tried a piece of hers and it was great. I should of said something in person, but it was our valentines dinner and I was asked to not bring it up by my wife. The rest of the food was wonderful , but the 50 dollar steak was not edible. I only ate a bite or two. Our service was awesome. We ended up spending about $260. For three courses each and a bottle of wine.
The pasta was not good. The sea bass was good. Too expensive. $75 for 3 glasses of wine?! Never again.
Wonderful service...exquisite food! Beautiful atmosphere!!! There are a lot of reasons why it is one of Sacramento’s treasured restaurants!!
This is an amazing staple of Sacramento restaurant dining. My wife and I really love this restaurant, absolutely worth drive from wherever you come from. Amazing atmosphere and absolutely great food and service.
Everything was amazing! The only issue we had was the incredibly rude hostess that night. As soon as we walked in we were immediately judged and given dirty looks by her. Everyone else including our waiter Sean was amazing. He made our night definetly memorable.
Came for Valentine’s Day dinner. We were seated downstairs near the wine cellar. I loved that there were multiple options for the courses. The lobster and crab “stew” was incredible. They gave us a little champagne sorbet to cleanse the pallet which was tasty and classy. The main course had 5 options all great including a vegetarian option. I’m gluten free and they had plenty of options for me. The service was amazing!! Our server was very nice and helpful without being overbearing. Bussers did a great job of reading when we were done and clearing the table. Overall a great visit and well definitely be back.
Valentine's Day prefix was fantastic! Excellent service as well. Thank you Jamin for the excellent service.
Like the Firehouse usually, but this occasion service was slow, never even offered a drink refill, and steak was prepared wrong. Disappointing, particularly for the price
Classic venue with innovative cuisine as well as steakhouse classics. Friendly, welcoming staff.
Staff was amazing. Food was even more amazing. Definitely not on the cheap side but the it was worth it. This is a great place to splurge on the fancy dinner.
Order an old fashion that wasn't made great, watered down. Steak was ordered medium rare, came raw. Quite unusual for this restaurant, may have been an off day.
We found the halibut and lobster tail very dry. I learned I should go to a seafood restaurant for delicate seafoods.
My wife and I had not been to the Firehouse in over 15 years. We decided to go back to celebrate my wife's Birthday. We had great service, the food was tremendous and we very much enjoyed the evening. We will be back and this time we will not wait another 15 years.
I took my best friend and there are as a birthday gift prior to a Miranda Lambert concert the food was delicious the atmosphere was great the chef even customer paired part of her meal and made her creme brulee for her birthday... The service was great we enjoyed the bar during happy hour before we are seated and had a great experience
Great place to have a business meeting. Food was awesome!
Ordered the evening special. Not much flavor to the dish. Very disappointing for $42. My husband ordered the chicken, which he enjoyed but he did comment that parts of it were overcooked and dry. For the cost, I expect an exceptional meal and this was not it. Service was great, but I wouldn't go back.
Service and the food (especially the desserts) are amazing!
Service and food were wonderful! One of my favorite restaurants!
We have been here a number of time as it was always an enjoyable experience. We were surprised by the LACK of quality table service. My wife had the chefs choice dinner including the wine pairing. As she has enjoyed before the waiter told about where the wine came from ect. This time it was here is a glass of wine with nothing said. The seafood that night was tough as well as it took A REALLY LONG TIME to get it. I had the lobster which was TINY...although the table next to us were served A HUGE ONE.... We understand it was busy but the lack of service has us looking for a different place to send our $200. We were also sat under a COLD air vent as my wife couldn't remove her coat. We are disappointed as said always had a good experience in the past.
This is a wonderful restaurant, though a bit pricey. It has been around a long time and has a lovely historic feel. Service is classy but friendly, food superb.
Totally awesome old school fine dining restaurant. Meals fantastic and wine list second-to-none...really! Go hungry, leave sassified!
I loved the restaurant, the food was well prepared and presented very nicely. I would have given 5 stars for the my meal, however the steak i ordered was coated in herbs. I ordered their best cut and prefer when the meat is complemented by seasonings, not over taken by them. That being said, the steak was above average, it just could have been phenomenal. I would definitely recommend for birthdays, anniversaries, and fancy date nights.
Menu was good, duck breats and lamb chops were superb
Waitperson Sean was excellent, knowledgeable, personable
The service was terrible. Our waiter was rude. Food was way overpriced. Don't go to this restaurant.
We went to the Firehouse for my wife's birthday and they never disappoint. Service, food, and selection are always top notch at the Firehouse. I had the Lobster Tail which was huge and broiled to perfection. My wife had the Pork Chop, again cooked to perfection. Don't leave without having the Souffle for dessert. It was heavenly.
We enjoy the experience and would return if ever back in Sacramento!
Great historic ambiance. Outstanding service. Food was good but not worth the prices that were charged. I have had business lunches here and they were very reasonable. Guess you are paying for the locale.
Lovely place, food was immaculate, drinks were nice.. great convenient location.
