   This was a 5 star experience from start to finish. The valet welcomed us and opened all doors, the hostess greeted us and acknowledged that we were celebrating our Anniversary, food and drinks were to timely, tasty and service was impeccable. Highly recommended

   Our server Sabrina was absolutely amazing she was very knowledgeable of menu. I ordered the sea bass special it was fabulous!! M husband ordered the pork chop!! He couldn’t finish his dish. Dessert I ordered the chocolate lave cake and my husband ordered the lemon sorbet which was light and refreshing!! We also had the opportunity to see the wine cellar!! Highly recommend Firehouse!!! You would not be disappointed.

   Took an out-of-towner visitor who had loved it here before, did not disappoint. Also, had a bonus of winning Princeton NCAA Basketball Team coming in for dinner with an ovation and smiles all around. My visitor loved it even more. Wonderful meal and ambiance.

    The Firehouse is always a great treat. From the appetizers to the dessert- everything was excellent and delicious. The only disappointment was that we didn’t get any bread 😔

    Amazing service and Old Sac charm. The food was good and we enjoyed several different menu items and shared. The dessert soufflé was highly recommended but it wasn’t special. The pumpkin sauce on the gnocchi was delish and the charcuterie was lovely. The seafood was good but not amazing. Overall, a fun experience on a Monday in Old Sac.

    We LOVE Firehouse, but this was a miss for us tonight. No wine help whatsoever. We had help but it was uninformed and unhelpful. My pork was dry and overcooked but we couldn’t tell anyone bc we didn’t get checked on! We didn’t have butter knives at our table! Had to ask for them ! Very small amt of butter to go with the bread. We spent a lot of money and did not reap the benefits

    Our host was sweet. He made sure we were completely happy with our dining location in the dining room. The young man that was filling water glasses made sure our glasses were refilled without having to ask. James our waiter was great! He was fun and relatable. He made good suggestions for each of the pieces of our meal. We really enjoyed a very much needed night out.

    Excellent service, drinks, and food. I highly recommend this place, a little expensive but well worth it. My server Derek was great, he explained all of the ingredients of the delicious food we had.

    Came here for a late Valentines dinner/anniversary. Shared a first course of firehouse trio which was really good. I got the Caesar salad for the second, not really a big fan of the lettuce chunks but overall good taste. For our third course I got the filet mignon which was great, potatoes a little unseasoned but good sauce. Boyfriend got pork chop and loved it. Overall great dining experience! Would definitely come again for special occasions.

    Dinner was great. Me and my girlfriend went out for our anniversary and I tell you…. What an experience! From the food too the servers and back to the front desk and bar area. Everything was Top Tier. If you wanna go out and feel classy, this is your spot. Will be back again thank you! Oh yeah, there valentines dinner was on hit!!!! Pan seared maple leaf duck, filet mignon, pork belly.

    Made my Valentines reservation on Open Table back in November. Been here before very nice restaurant. Monday I get an email from Open Table saying they are doing a special Valentines Menu. $175 per person Must cancel by 12th which was day before or would be charged $175 cancelation fee. So too late to cancel Food and service were great just hadn’t planned on not eating for the next week

    This is, without exaggeration, one of the best restaurants I have ever been to. The quality of the food is outstanding and the chef did an amazing job with the Valentine’s Day tasting menu. I did not have a bite of anything that I wouldn’t eat for a week straight. The overall experience was well worth the price and I hope to come back to this restaurant. I am in college, so having a dinner this nice reminded me of why I am enduring so much school

    Great experience overall. Only one complaint, I asked for salt and was given a salt shaker. I kept trying to salt my food and didn’t notice a difference. After 4 times, I unscrewed the cap and saw that it was fancy flake salt which Is great, but impossible for it to dispense from the tiny holes in the salt shaker. Should be served in a small salt bowl with spoon. Didn’t really impact dinner, just thought it was silly and perhaps no one knows this is happening.

    I love the feel of this place – historic and trendy. The bar area was popping and the dinner tables were spread out enough so it felt private. The rack of lamb melted in your mouth and hubby said the duck was delish. The veggies and potatoes on the side were straightforward and perfectly cooked - they let the meat take center stage. Bravo, chef! The Crème Brule and Grand Marnier souffle were sooo delicious. Our server and the rest of the staff were super friendly and attentive. The wine list was the size of a small phone book - extensive. I definitely would return to try more dishes.

    Been here many times and it has always been terrific! My wife and I both ordered the rack of lamb which was outstanding. Cesar salad was good, not the best part of dinner. Martinis were perfect as was the service. Our waitperson was James. This restaurant dates back 50+ years.... will likely be around another 50 years!

    We went to Firehouse to celebrate our anniversary. We wanted to give this restaurant a second chance. Had our reservations done. We reached on time and were promptly seated. The seating arrangement itself wasn't great. It was like we were in the middle of the path. Anyhow, moving ahead to the order time. We took our time to go through the 38 pages of wine list. I appreciate the wide variety of selections. It took them 15 mins to get the drinks going. Service was utterly slow. Our servers didn't seem to have full understanding of the menu as well. I ordered the chef's special for the day. Food quality was average. We ordered a vegetarian risotto, but instead got a vegan risotto devoid of any cheese or salt. We sent it back and they graciously didn't include it in the check. We ordered 2 desserts- chocolate lava cake and baklava cheesecake. Both terrible. Chocolate lava cake didn't have any lava oozing out, but has chocolate spread on the side. Baklava cheesecake, not great. But I guess that's how they make it. I wanted to like the place but never going back again. The problem I think is management. They need to move on with time. They can keep the essence of the restaurant but need to be more agile with rest of the things. And start including few more food options.

    It’s been too many years since we’ve been to this restaurant. Definitely won’t let time go by that long again! We decided to do our Valentines Day date-night early this year and headed to The Firehouse! We enjoyed our Fillet Mignon (wife) and Rib Eye Steak (me). They were cooked perfectly to our individual liking. I paired my meal with a surprise Cab Sauv I saw on the wine list ... in Costco style of course ... "Sinegal" Wine. Could it possibly be?? I asked to see the bottle and there it was ... Jim's signature - in green ink of course! I’m a huge fan of Costco since I’ve been employed there for 37 years! Jim was an outstanding CEO and what a great person overall. Spoke with him many times - Always so friendly. Ok back to the review … This restaurant is a true gem. The service was unparalleled! Very attentive to every detail and our individual needs. Before our meal we shared the Pumpkin Gnocchi appetizer (nice start to our experience) and for desert we shared the Grand Mariner Soufflé. It came with a boat of raspberry sauce and another boat of softened vanilla ice cream. The desert was well worth the 15 minutes preparing time. This allowed our food to settle as I sipped on my cappuccino and we took a self-guided tour of the restaurant’s many levels of eating space as well as the outside patio area the restaurant offers. Overall … great experience. We will be back. Touché, Firehouse team, touché!!
