We had a great dining experience with friends. Our waiter was superb, attentive without being obtrusive. Very enjoyable. Thank you.
Excellent environment. Service was impeccable. One of my all time favorite restaurants.
I love this restaurant
Special dinner w friends celebrating.
great food and service - our server was very responsive!! thank you,
The food was very very good.
Great service, although we were almost served the wrong entrees twice. The waiter and staff were very gracious and attentive. Our entrees when we finally received the right ones were delicious. Best place for a celebration.
Great place for a dinner date! The food was wonderful and the service was fantastic. Definitely will be coming back in the future.
We love it here. This was our first time for lunch in the courtyard and it was so great. The ambiance is incredible and so is the food
Wonderful food, great service, and beautiful surroundings... The Courtyard at the Firehouse is all of these! Adding only $20 for a three-course luncheon, to commemorate the opening of the courtyard, and you get the full package. This will be a tradition for us for now on!
A little bit pricey, but not bad. My husband got sliced almonds on his salad and I didn't. The server offered to go get some for me, but I told him "No don't bother". I wish I had, that was all my husband could talk about was how great his salad was! My fault! I wish I had seen the "wine flight" sooner because I would have ordered it! Overall it was excellent and we look forward to doing it again. Thank you!
As ever, Jeremy made a superb luncheon even better. Fabulous first day on the exquisite patio.
When I made the reservation I told them
It was a special occasion. They didn't bring it up.
The dessert was horrible and the seating inadequate.
I wanted to treat my girlfriend to an amazing dinner out and I remember eating here one time on Christmas Eve. They had the same amazing service and excellent food as I remember. This time I was seated in the main hall which can be slightly noisier than the downstairs. However the waiter was very attentive and willing to explain everything as needed.
My wife has an allergy to beef and we asked about the pork chop and they indicated the sauce contained beef juice but they would leave that off the plate. When they delivered the food the beef sauce was there. they took it back to the kitchen and when they brought a new order it was not cooked properly and was not hot. It was a disappointing anniversary dinner.
Stopped by for their excellent Happy Hour - great servers and bartendress. Bar menu items have a lot of creative variety.
We went to the Firehouse
Darryl gave us excellent service. The food was wonderful. Our favorite restaurant.
The server we had was a younger gentleman, but he was on point. He was accommodating, knowledgeable about the menu, and enjoyable to speak with. The kale salad I got was delicious and the scallops I had were pretty tasty. The halibut my mother got was very good. All in all, we had a nice meal at a classic spot.
This is my favorite restaurant in Sacramento. It has stood the test of time with it's consistency and commitment to excellence. We started with cocktails (Orchard Breeze and Vieux Carre). A complementary amuse bouce arrived before our Firehouse trio of appetizers (crab cake, pork belly, and smoked duck). For our entrees, my sea bass with a crab ravioli with perfection. Since I couldn't decide between that and the scallops, they offered to add two scallops to my dish. Ahh, the best of both worlds. My son's roasted chicken was possibly the best I've ever had. For dessert, we received a creme brule compliments of the kitchen for my son's birthday. We also ordered the lemon meringue tart and chocolate pave gateau with coffee. I was perfect from start to finish.
It was lovely as usual. We love treating ourselves with great food and wine. Worth every penny. Great place to just be present with each and break bread.
Great location and fantastic, professional service
It was amazing and elegant. Loved the mood. It was a great birthday
We liked the restaurant and the service was good but we were very disappointed with the meat we ordered. It was supposed to be a filet but it was not tender and more like sirloin.
Great food and excellent service which you don’t see very often these days.
Food was excellent with the exception of the bread. It was dry and tasteless. Definitely not up to the standard expected at this type of restaurant. This has been an issue before and is almost a reason for us not to go back. At least offer a choice of breads. It is an essential part of the meal.
Firehouse is absolutely exquisite in every way. With the largest wine cellar in Sacramento they have something to offer for everyone. The food was exceptional although some of the presentations felt s little last year to me. Everything was prepared perfectly from a cooking aspect. The ambiance is beautiful and the decor is perfect. Would definitely recommend this place
Had the chef’s tasting menu, it was excellent.
Loved this place! So professional. The food and service was outstanding.
Several people ordered after us and not only did they receive their meal, they finished prior to us. The plates came out very hot, when they finally arrived, which generally means that they have been sitting under a heat lamp for an extended period of time (both entrees and sides). The seasoning on the steak was not consistent throughout the cut (some parts were overly salty, some underwhelming seasoned). The Sea Bass was soggy and under seasoned. I am not sure that we would go back.
Though a bit pricey, it is worth every expense. By far the best dining experience I have encountered in my life. Super memorable and romantic. Guaranteed to get some cheeks afterwards if you take your girl here fellas.
Wife asked for filet butterflied with no pink, came with red center
We go there for most of our very special occasions. It is not inexpensive, but it is worth two or three visits per year. Plus, a visit to “old town” is always fun
Lunch in the enclosed patio was lovely. A fire in the fireplace added to the overall, cozy, but elegant ambiance. Service was excellent--attentive, but not overbearing, and the food was beautifully prepared and delicious. Can't wait until the outdoor patio is open.
There places in this World where the simple pleasure of Fine Dining in the "old style" are still possible. The Firehouse is one of those places. The room is elegant, but not gaudy. The brigade staff is personal without being familiar. The food is presented simply and not over thought. It was a rare meal where after each course you wanted more of what you just ate because it was so amazing. Quite easily the most enjoyable dining experience I have had in many years.
As always...excellent in every way!
From the moment we walked in we were greeted. The place was beautiful and elegant. Our waiter was very professional and friendly and very attentative and he explained the menu, the food was amazing!
Everything went well. Fabulous experience.
Food was bland. Service was good. Steak was cooked very well but the sides were so bland. Won’t return.
