The Fire Hall Ratings and Reviews
The food was really good
The waitress had no issue with me wanting to substitute fries for chips with me fish taco
The fish was fresh and not at all greasy.
My friends had soup and the sandwich of the day- a spicy chicken and smoked mozzerella- both soup and sandwich were good and very filling .
The hostess was a bit blase -no smile - no warmth at all- greeting is not the place for her - but the server was very friendly and had a big smile- she came by to ensure everything was ok and made sure our waters were topped up
A good experience over all.
We came with a larger family group to celebrate my hubby's birthday. We all ordered something different...mushroom chicken mushroom is delicious and your fajita sizzling beef super great. Other people had salad and burgers ...everything was delicious!..
Also fantastic service...helpful and friendly and great with grand kids😀 chocolate mousse cheesecake just divine (in a jar with Nutella and oreo crumble)..and other people loved their cartot cake and apple pie.
Celebrated father's day lunch here with friends; sat on the patio outside.
We loved the taco seasoning on the French fries.
Aboo's curry was delicious.
The fish tacos were on the bland side and could use more flavor/seasoning/sauce/spice.
The sangria was a bit watery and could have been stronger.
We enjoyed the experience overall and had a great waiter who indulged the kids' request for extra straws, etc.
Went to the fire hall for my birthday with my husband and two children. Waiter brought my daughter a kid's drink of apple juice with a crack in it that poured all over us, her order (cheese pizza, how do you mess that up?) came wrong (with pepperoni) so she got to wait ten min and only started eating when we were almost done. Service was slow despite the restaurant being almost empty, had to get up ourselves to ask for napkins, refills....overall disappointing and won't be going back
Went to Firehall for their St Patrick's Day specials. Although the restaraunt was very busy and loud our server Tammy was fantastic!!! She was professional, helpful and we were all happy with her advice on the menu. The Irish Stew and Shepard Pie were delicious. The wings and poutine are the best in Bronte! Tammy made our St Patrick's Day celebration a very memorable one. Theyy care about their patrons , please extend our heartfelt thanks to Tammy and Gary for a great night. Firehall's menu has something for everyone!
Went with 4 kids and 6 adults. The fire hall theme entertains the kids and the servers are very kid-friendly. Kids meals are all adequate for the little ones. Tried the burger this time and it was also tasty. The wings are still my fave - they are spiced mildly though as the hot is barely a medium.
Went for Dinner with my and friends. The fire bell rang most of the time we were there. The Manager on duty was so ignorant to us that i will not be coming back. I have been going to the firehall for 15years+.. I have noticed this place has been declining and it was evident this night..
There are other great restaurants downtown Oakville where you wont have this problem
We went with our 2 grandchildren . The kiddies menu had lots of options. They ate it all & loved looking at all the memorabilia. Our server Lance was attentive & gave our granddaughter the extra cheese she asked for
I loved my fish tacos & salsa.
Overall a great experience as always. The noise from the men at the bar is distracting which the only negative. I wish there was more separation.
My boyfriend and I went to the fire hall for a date night, we've been once before a while back and this time we went I feel the menu was different. The place was busy and a foot ball game was on, so it was very loud, we didn't mind that, would recommend checking the sports before going out for a date night( that was our bad haha )
The food was good the last time I had it, this time not so much. The deep fried pickles were soggy. The garlic bread tasted ok, but seemed like it was store bought. My boyfriend got the fajitas and enjoyed them. I got the chicken club sandwich with a poutine. The poutine was COLD!! like it was sitting under a hot lamp waiting for me. It was gross. The chicken sandwich didn't taste right, it was pink and the amount of lettuce was crazy plus it was the white core pieces.
We took all the food home just to be nice and the lady did take the sandwich off the bill.
I was disappointed but the server was so nice and friendly about everything.
The drink I had ( Strawberry long island ice tea) was so yummy!! I would go back for that.
Don't bother going here...the cheap prices should have warned me. The service was awful. Our waters were never refilled (despite two managers stopping by) and the salad was wilted and old. The burger was dry (definitely made ahead of time), and the tzatziki sauce tasted like it went bad (we asked for a new container and it also tasted awful). Save your money for pizza!
Everything was very good except I did mention to the waitress that it was my son's 50th birthday (I had a few of his family/friends there to surprise him). I thought the staff might have supplied a little cake with candles and sung Happy Birthday like they do in other restaurants so that disappointed me, but other than that, it was good.
Tyler made our first visit to The Firehall very pleasant. FooHd was tasty and obviously freshly made on premises. Would rather have been in a booth but we were comfortable. There was a good amount of food and the price was reasonable. We'll definitely be back.
Not having been to the Firehall in around 6 months I returned with out of town guests. Reservations were easy enough and the restaurant was half full around 7:15pm. We received our menus and i noticed immediately they were new ... not too broad a selection for dinner unfortunately. Regardless we ordered and received our food promptly, unfortunately the waiter assisting the waitress almost dumped my plate on the table and all the guests .... i was able to grab the plate just in time however my hands got full of the sweet potato fries sauce. I wasn't even asked if i needed any wetnaps etc. Nor given any apology for the mess and inconvenience. Anyway we soldiered on, the same waiter came by and asked if we needed anything, i requested some extra rib sauce, this request was never filled all the while the waiter was serving thee table next to us.
I can't convey how dissapponting my eexperience was starting with the dinner menu ending with the poor service .... it will take quite sometime to forget my experience.
